Love This Light!!! Super Light Show, Easy to Use, Beginner or Pro, Lots of FeaturesLove this Pyle light!!! I can just set it on the floor, or hang it with the included bracket, turn it on and choose Auto Mode 1 or 2 and I have an instant light show. Two pre-programmed automatic modes give me a choice of fast or slow light show with the push of a button. This light projects a tight, 4-color beam in red, blue, green, and white. Each color inhabits a quarter of the beam in a square pattern. The light beam moves around the room from wall to wall and across the ceiling, colors change in intensity and combination, and the built in Strobe is actuated intermittently. WOW! There is also a built in Mic, so light will move through Auto Mode in time to the music playing in the room. I really like the compact design of this light, it is easy to use and unobtrusive. The light is also solid and well built and should hold up to the rigors of use for gigs.This Pyle light also has Pro features built in which are also accessible to us novice LightMasters. It is DMX-512 capable and features 13 channels of control. An inexpensive USB to DMX dongle can be purchased on Amazon that connects this light to a laptop or computer. I can then use one of several free programs to create my own light show or to control this light in real time. There are also relatively inexpensive stand alone DMX control boards available. In 13 channel mode I can control horizontal and vertical position, fine tune position in both axes, adjust the speed of head movement, dim the entire beam, dim each color separately, actuate the strobe and adjust its speed, and actuate the Self-propelled Modes (Auto Modes). I have tested these control modes using a dongle and my computer and they work flawlessly, I am still learning the Freestyle software and can’t wait to program a serious sequence of my own for this light.All in all this is a great light with lots of versatility. I think it would pair nicely with a fog machine for some incredible effects. I may try to incorporate it into my Xmas display this year if I don’t have too many gigs booked due to my incredible light show.

mini moving head light.I have been a DJ for over 30 years I use a controller and can run up to 8 lights at a time I normally DJ for 60-200 people in small to medium size halls.The Pyle PDJLT40 fn my opinion and experience would be execellent for a auditorium and large buildings with high ceilings .It is very smooth in movement but in short distances shows very small light patterns. The only reason for my 3 out of 5 rating is due to my need and use.

Very small beam//buttons and display didn’t work wellNot what I was expecting. I can see how it would be good for a small venue and with multiple of the same light. The buttons felt very cheap and the whole number display area was all weird….at least on my light. The rotation is great on this light but the beam is very small and it projects a square with the four different colors. It was just not what I was looking for or expected.

Nice light device – compact and easy to useThis is a compact unit that puts out a good amount of light. The unit can either be controlled via DMX cables to hook this through a sound system, or it can be controlled manually via the buttons in the front. The instruction manual is well written and easy to help figure out what each ‘mode’ does for the device. Overall I thought the unit puts out a good amount of light, and the motorized movements are fast. I know that this will make a great addition to parties and other gatherings. It is a bit on the small side (please make sure to note the dimensions on the product description/images) but I don’t necessarily think that is a bad thing. When you have to lug a bunch of other equipment, having a small, powerful device that is a little easier to tote around makes sense in my book!

Great light for a great price.Started to DJ for families and friends and now getting some bigger gigs. I was looking for some new lights for my bigger setup and this one seems perfect for my needs. You can find this same model on different brands but I pick Pyle since I know the brand and they give 1 year warranty if you register.I initially bought 2 and I like it. After a few days of testing it I bought another pair. I think 4 of them is good enough for the setup I am thinking. Product seems sturdy and the light is bright enough. Tested them on DMX with one sound activated and the rest as slave. They sometimes go out of sync but they catch up pretty quick. I didn’t see that issue in slower mode. Overall I am happy with it. Make sure you register within 30 days of purchase to get the 1 year warranty instead of just 60 days.

Great for dance parties at home!I bought this so our kids could have a dance party in the garage. I mounted it to the ceiling, programmed it to sound detection and threw on some tunes. This thing definitely meets the expectations I had for the purpose I bought it for. I set up a fog machine too to increase the awe factor for the kids. They definitely love it as they’ve been in the garage for three days.

Garbage lightThis light is not bright at all. It has 4 small led bulbs r g b w that can’t mix. Just appears as color dots on the wall. Narrow beam of light. Spend a little more to get a better light.

Small and sturdy dj lightThis dj light has come in handy a few times already to the start of summer. I connected it and set it to play based on the beat/bass of the music and it did not disappoint. Very sensitive to the music and reacts right away with different colors! The colors were very bright and the rotation of the machine was flawless.
