We have designed our payment process with one goal: your money is always safe, and you only pay for what you actually receive.

How payments work

All payments on Event Technology Portal flow through us. Here is exactly what happens:

1. You submit a quote request
2. We respond with a confirmed quote
3. You accept the quote
4. We issue you a formal invoice
5. You pay the invoiced amount to Event Technology Portal via PayPal
6. We confirm the order and coordinate fulfilment
7. Your order is dispatched and delivered
8. We complete the process — if anything went wrong at any stage, your payment was protected throughout

You never pay a supplier directly. If anyone contacts you asking for payment outside our platform, do not proceed — contact us immediately at hello@eventtechnology.org.

Invoicing

We issue a formal invoice once you have accepted a quote. Payment is made against that invoice. We do not request payment before an invoice has been issued and accepted by you.

Your invoice from Event Technology Portal is your record of the transaction. It will include the product details, quantities, agreed price, payment terms, and due date.

Payment terms

Payment terms are confirmed in your quote and invoice. They vary depending on the order:

• Standard in-stock orders — full payment due before the order is confirmed with the supplier
• Large or project-based orders — staged payment milestones may apply, clearly set out in your invoice (for example, 50% on confirmation and 50% prior to dispatch)
• Custom or made-to-order equipment — payment schedule agreed at quote stage based on production timeline

If you need to discuss specific payment terms for a large order, contact us before submitting your quote request.

Accepted payment methods

We currently accept:

• PayPal — available globally, supports most currencies
• Bank transfer — available for larger orders, details provided on invoice

Currencies

Quotes are issued in USD as standard. If you require a quote in a different currency, let us know when submitting your request. For PayPal payments, currency conversion is handled by PayPal at their prevailing exchange rate.

Buyer protection

Because your payment is held by us until fulfilment, you are protected in the following situations:

• Supplier fails to deliver — we refund your payment in full
• Goods arrive damaged or not as described — we manage the claim and arrange replacement, repair, or refund
• Order cancelled before dispatch — full refund processed within 5–7 business days
• Partial delivery — we withhold the relevant portion of payment until the remainder is delivered or a settlement is agreed

Buyer protection applies only to orders placed and paid through Event Technology Portal. Transactions arranged outside our platform are not covered.

Security

Our website uses TLS (Transport Layer Security) encryption across all pages. All payment processing is handled by PayPal’s secure infrastructure. We do not store payment card details or bank account information on our servers.
