Why use a dedicated monitor instead of an iPad?

Dedicated monitors are significantly brighter (vital under heavy stage lights), don’t have batteries that can die mid-show, and feature SDI/HDMI inputs so the script can be controlled remotely by an operator in a control room.

What is a PTZ teleprompter?

Normal prompters have narrow hoods because the camera doesn’t move. A PTZ prompter has an incredibly wide piece of glass and a wider hood, so a robotic camera can physically turn left and right behind the glass without seeing the edges.

Does Ikan provide the prompting software?
