Special Effects
Special effects, also known as SFX, are techniques used in the film, television, and entertainment industries to create illusions or enhance the realism of a scene. There are many different types of special effects, including visual effects, such as compositing, matte painting, and 3D modeling; mechanical effects, such as pyrotechnics, animatronics, and puppetry; and sound effects, such as Foley and sound design. Special effects can be created using a variety of techniques and technologies, including practical effects, which are created using physical elements and techniques, and digital effects, which are created using computer-generated imagery (CGI) and other digital tools. The use of special effects can help to create immersive and believable worlds, and can be used to tell stories in new and creative ways.
