Great cablesI bought these to help rid a buzz from recording and they were recommended. They do have a great reputation. They did not actually help with my buzz, and I was going to return them, but a musician friend said they would help percentage-wise as I replace other equipment. I only ever record on one channel as an audiobook narrator… I kept them, but not sure I needed them and they are expensive. Which is why I only gave it a 3 for value for money.

AmazingI swapped out my $10 XLR cables with these $50 XLR cables and my studio monitors sound 5 times better! But not really. They sound exactly the same to me. I’m just sick of people asking me why I’m not using Mogami cables. These cables are thinner than the ones I was using, and I don’t think they look as nice either.

Massive difference from cheap cablesI know these are pricey, I had my reservations about them myself…but please believe me when I tell you they are worth every dime. I had no idea that cables could make such a difference, but they do and these are great!

I swear by these cables! They’re the best of the best!I learned the hard way that if you’re using a great mic you need great XLR cables to match!I use the Shure SM7B mic paired with the Fethead and the Go-XLR and I before I bought these I was using the $8 Amazon Essentials XLR Cables and there’s a night and day difference in quality!I have my mic come up from behind my PC so it’s very close to my PC with the Amazon XLR cables I was getting a buzzing inside my mic everyone on my stream complained it sounded so terrible and it did! I asked my friend who also had a Shure SM7B what he uses for his and he told me he used these Gold Mogami Cables!I bought them and the rest is history! The sound is so crisp and nice, the buzzing is finally gone all external interferences have disappeared and I didn’t realize having nice XLR cables would make such a huge difference for sound quality but it really helps! I’m not an audio expert by any means but I do stream every single day and I’m a full time streamer here on Amazon Live!If you have any questions about these wanna see my mic and cables in action in real time come stop by my Amazon stream! You can find my Amazon streams by going to Amazon.com/shop/atarabyte! Or by clicking on my name and going to my Amazon profile! I use this mic to stream so you can hear the quality live! I also have a idea list on my Amazon profile for setting up a Shure SM7B!I hope this review was helpful and I hope you have an amazing day and may all your audio sound like warm and crisp like a homemade apple pie! ^^Thank you for reading my review! 😀

I thought it was awesome, until…I thought this was an awesome microphone cable for my voice over studio until an audiophile friend turned me on to Canare Quad Star cables with Neutrik connectors. But first: If you think microhpone cables don’t matter in an environment where your voice is the only sound, you are wrong and this Mogami Gold (and moreso, Canare) prove it.With the Mogami, I instantly got more gain from my microphone, and it quieted down the RF problem I was having as well (which I completely solved with a different cable along my signal chain – not relevant here).A day or two later, I purchased a Canare Quad Core/Neutrik cable from another vendor who actually has nothing to do with blue jeans. After all was said and done, it was about $8 less than the Gold. But its sound is, and this is the best way I can describe it, more musical. Had I not learned about Canare, I’d have been more than happy with the Mogami Gold. So, value for money is right in the middle at 3 stars. Overall rating is 4 because it made a big difference in sound, is built extremely well, and feels like it can take a beating. There’s a reason that so many large, touring sound companies use literally miles of Mogami cable. And if you’re a stage musician, given the Mogami’s girth, I think it would be more durable in a live application than would the Canare. With either cable, you’ll be glad you spent the money. And if you’re a voice actor, you owe it to your career to purchase pro-level cabling like this. It. Matters.

If you’re serious about impeccable audio…As a career voice actor, I’ve carefully chosen every component in my audio chain. I don’t expend hard-earned funds on gear that I haven’t tested or at least exhaustively researched.A while back, I began to detect some 60 Hz hum creeping into my tracks. I eliminated the possibility of a ground loop—the studio is powered through a 2 KW, medical-grade isolation transformer, and every chassis is tied to a common, exterior copper grounding rod.I checked all my connectors and connections, and I made sure that no AC power cables were lying alongside the signal cable from my voice booth to my AD/DA converter, but the problem persisted. Then I replaced the XLR cable from condenser mic’s power supply to the connector on the wall of my voice booth, and I replaced the XLR cable from the booth to my AD/DA converter with Mogami Studio Cables.Voila! Problem solved. In at least one independent survey that I read, Mogami Studio Cable exceeds all other commonly-available cables in shielding from both external RF interference and AC hum. Mogami Studio Cable may be a bit stiffer than the cable to which you’re accustomed, but it isn’t meant to be repeatedly laid out and then rolled back up. It’s meant to lie on the studio floor.Yes, it’s a bit more expensive than other, commonly-available cable, but if you’re serious about impeccable audio—my work depends on it—Mogami is worth the additional cost.

So far so good!Love it! I bought a budget condenser mic and the XLR that came with it seemed pretty cheap. I was afraid to use it with my audio interface because it would literally be hard to push it in and it would get stuck. It was probably likely that the cable would break and/or damage the AI. So I ordered this and just tested it with my mic and AI and I love it! It was definitely easier to place inside of AI and the sound was slightly cleaner! I wasn’t sure if I should spend so much money on a cable.. but right now I think that the purchase was worth it and I can’t wait to work with it!
