INSIGHT Premiere Takeaways: Forecasts and Suggestions for Events in 2025

Our annual INSIGHT program began with yesterday’s INSIGHT Premiere. The conversation was conducted by RainFocus CMO Ashleigh Cook and included event specialists Devin Cleary from CyberArk and Heather Schneider from Celonis.

We discussed best practices for utilizing AI, optimizing budget, and customizing attendee journeys while delving into trends from our Events and Marketing Strategy Survey. Here are some important conclusions:

Leading Patterns in the Events Sector

The discussion started with 2025 forecasts. The following was what our experts predicted:

Event teams will prioritize customisation over a one-size-fits-all strategy. They have to find a balance between customizing attendee experiences and templatizing events.
An increased effort will be made to make virtual events more accessible.
Teams will start conducting more unconventional workshops, introducing fresh perspectives to the occasion.
Data security will continue to be a primary priority.
Online pre- and post-event experiences will continue to be successful for businesses.

How Can You Get the Most Out of Your AI Investment?

Although the percentage of event professionals utilizing AI doubled from 16% to 34% in 2024, many businesses have not yet adopted these technology. “Every employee will use AI differently, so there needs to be organization governance and different AI personas,” Schneider said. Your company can develop a more thorough rollout strategy if you know how each persona will use it.

The two panelists urged event planners to look for a variety of AI technologies that might be used for event promotion. “Don’t let your four walls of work be your limitation,” Cleary added, citing resources that can assist event teams in finding royalty-free music, making graphics, and producing presentations.
