Eventtechnology.org starts Used Equipment Platform

The difficult choice, if an Event-Technology provider should close the gaps between their own inventory and potential opportunities has become easier. Around 65% of fully functional technical equipment is unused. Providing a platform for AV firms and other service providers to sell and buy components or entire systems has started in December with used equipment first. This will be extended to new equipment by the middle of 2021.

What Tech Needs to Provide to Make Virtual Events a Success

In fact, 40 percent of respondents to a recent EventMB survey answered “no” when asked if they had been successful at pivoting their events to a virtual platform. When asked to evaluate their successes in terms of a sliding scale instead of a yes or no answer, roughly 60 percent of respondents had less than ringing endorsements: 27 percent did not even try pivoting to virtual, 8 percent had tried but failed, and 38 percent made it work — but not profitably.
