I love this little light.I absolutely LOVE this little – Powerful light!Being a professional photographer leads to many trends I.E. the action camera itself. The Lightdow waterproof light is a great product and comes in so handy when attached to the camera, in your pocket.. No, I am not ready or willing to get rid of my Nikons, but they do not fit in my pocket either. They also do not go diving…. The camera is a convenience and by far out preforms the cell phone. with that said the light extends usability, especially at night and other poorly lit situations.I find the lighting patterns flat and even when the subject is over 7 feet (or more) form the lens. I will shoot and post some lighting patterns of my own within a week or so, but the bottom line is this light is great! I do admit the battery is quarky and hard to position just right. It uses the standard “action camera” batteries which is a huge deal with me, because it extends flexibility in the field..Push the button once to turn on, Twice to dim one level, a third time to flash on and off (don’t understand the reason for this?) and the forth time to turn it off. Inside the lighting unit is a female mini-usb receptacle for charging the Batt. (comes with charging cable)!The reason I only give it 4 stars is because of the difficulties seating the battery..I have already bought a second one to use as a gift! So its a strong recommend with me!

I’m sad it flooded.Edit: the seller says they’ replace it. I’m boosting the rating to a 4. The dive master put the flooding down to insufficient grease on the o-ring so that’ll be easy to fix.Original review: I really wanted to like this light. It feels well built, it’s bright and inexpensive. It uses the same batteries in my sj5000x camera.Unfortunately, it’s not waterproof. Flooded on the first dive. 45 feet’s a lot less than the advertised 30 meters. There’s a 90 day warranty … But it excludes water damage… Go figure.
Gone Sailing –
Battery Leaked and Lens Permanently FoggedProduct performed as expected however after 2 consecutive dives to 80 and 60 feet the lens fogged (turns out it was not water). The battery leaked some hot acidic lithium goo out which permanently fogged the lens. I cleaned the interior of the goo and reinstalled the cleaned off battery. It did recharge however the brightness is now limited. Also should mention the GoPro mounting horns on top DO NOT FIT GoPro brand sized clip mounts, you must use the clip mounts that come with the product. Overall, for the price I would buy again however.

Great mobile lightingSpeedy delivery! Great product! This light works perfect in all conditions. I use it for vlogging with a GoPro, both indoor and outdoor. I was so impressed by the small size and good brightness, that I bought a second one as backup.

Best for the moneyDove down to 70 feet during the day so I didn’t need it much but I used it to photograph in holes and under ledges. Works well but the button cycles are annoying.

Uneven lightingThe media could not be loaded.
Mine came with a screw on the face that was put in wrong which caused a gap along the edge. I figure I can just silicone that and it will be fine. I love the fact that it comes with the same battery as my sj4000 so that I can interchange them and use the same chargers. The lights are fairly bright and should work OK for close up underwater video. What I did not like about it is that my standard mounts would not work on the top of it. I bought a dual mount so I did not need to mount the camera to the top of it. But my biggest problem with this light is that it does not give off an even light. I have included a video so that you can see.

BRIGHTArrived on time, and included all listed items. The battery included is removable, but charges in the light itself which isn’t really a big deal except for the fact the device needs to be open in order to charge.I haven’t had the opportunity to use the light more than a handful of times, but have yet to discover a problem. If I do encounter a problem in the future, I will be sure to update my review accordingly.

Better then expectedWhen I received the light one of the three lights didn’t work. But the light is brighter then I expected is would be can it was built very well. I’ll be buying this item again.

Not exactly compatible with GoPro camerasOverall it does it’s job but it has one large drawback. The buckle mount that it comes with fits on top of the light perfectly. However my GoPro cameras do not attach to the supplied buckle mount. The teeth on the GoPro case are too long. I then decided to just use a GoPro buckle mount on top of the light. Well, they don’t fit on top of the camera at all. I was forced to use the supplied buckle mount because it’s the only one that fits. I had to use a series of extensions to get the GoPro attached. This makes the camera top heavy now and will regularly rotate on my camera pole.The light itself is very bright so that’s one positive.If they say it’s compatible with GoPro cameras it needs to be without using all sorts of extensions.
