keine bassreglung
sehr basshaltig was insbesondere nachts ein echtes problem darstellt, weil keine bass o treblereglung vorhanden! zudem vibrieren die membranen ziemlich stark bei einer bestimmten tonlage – was jedoch nicht öft der fall ist

HD4s are nearly great
Good dynamics and plenty of power compared to the extinct B+W MM-1s, my favorite computer speakers and the ones I used previously. However, the Audioengine HD4s are boomy out of the box. They improve after a lengthy break-in but still need equalization to achieve a neutral sound. My search continues for a successor to the wonderful colorless sound of the Bowers & Wilkins.Warning: If you use the audio controls on your keyboard, you will find the mute control works but not the gain. You can adjust volume only through through the speaker knob or OS controls.

Decent sound, especially bass, but not much clarity
Decent sound, especially bass, but not much clarity. Sounded a little muddy to me, not a lot of detail but a pushed forward lower end

They’re Lit AF except they overheat
10/10 recommend these speakers, got them on 20% sale, would 100% do again.Their bass is awesome for their size. While still outputting voices amazingly.Treat yoself and just do it*edit*After listening to them more, listening at 80-100% volume they overheat after about 30 minutes which is lame especially for the price point. Will be trying some methods to figure out how to cool because they do sound very good. Updated review to 2 stars*edit edit*Fixed the overheating, inside the speaker at the back of its amplifier it is packed with fluff/insulation material that sits right on and around the heatsink, after opening it up and moving/packing the insulation off the heatsink there has been no problems. Really enjoying these speakers, shame i had to pull it open to fix.

These are really good
I’ve never been disappointed with audioengine. This product is expensive but really good sound quality for a computer desk. Extemely loud while still keeping amazing clarity.
