Overall, it brings out the proper sound than a tv speaker. Bass is just nice without the need for a separate woofer unit. Music listening and movie watching are enjoyable. Adding a woofer unit will enhance the listening experience.

A little big for computer speakers (okay next to the 34″ monitor) but you get phenomenon sound quality in exchange.

Just incredible sound – a real treat for your desk or anywhere in your home
Now that I’m working from home, I wanted some top-notch speakers for my desk. I did quite a bit of research and after finding the A5s coming out on top on site after site I decided to go with them.First impressions:Wow these are HEAVY, which clued me in on their quality. Setup was a breeze, everything was included. I read a few reviews saying they needed a little time to “break in” a bit and indeed the first day they were not quite as impressive as I had hoped. I made sure to give each song a little extra volume than what I’d usually have it at. I was also worried that I should have got the subwoofer too because the bass was not as punchy as I’d hoped. The next day:The next morning I put on a song and it was clear the speakers were now READY. Such rich, full and clear sound from these speakers! No headphones can match these bad boys- the music is felt through your whole body and it’s like a concert right in front of you. That punch from the bass that was missing was now present. Simply put these are the best speakers I’ve ever owned and I didn’t expect to have better sound than my car stereo puts out. So cool!Pros+ Warm, rich and clear sound and you’ll really *feel* the music+ Look really cool and modern/futuristic+ Very easy setup, everything included+ Don’t need a receiver or amplifier to get LOUD, distortion-free sound of these.Cons- I’d still recommend a subwoofer but probably just something basic to gently compliment these. It’s hard to fault here because they are not really meant to be an all-in-one solution given their size but they are SO CLOSE to being that.- The shiny-ness of them kind of makes them look like they’re plastic/cheap at a glance. I wish they were less glossy. Very minor issue though, purely aesthetic.Final Verdict:I’m very happy with these speakers. I will be recommending them to everyone looking for speakers for their home or office and I’ll also recommend an entry-level subwoofer to go with them just for a little extra bass.

Wonderful and simple powered Bluetooth speakers.
These are not portable Bluetooth speakers. The only difference between these and the older hardwired speaker’s you’ve used for decades is: These are built in 100W per channel amplified bookshelf speakers that connect seamlessly and easily to your phone or laptop. No separate amplifier required. The quality of sound and build of this system is amazing at any price. And I almost purchased equipment at twice the price as these. I paired them with the 200W powered sub woofer for recording studio clarity and power. Love these speakers and I am a bit of an audiophile. I replaced a Marantz amplifier and Monitor Audio 3 way speakers with this rig and DO NOT REGRET DOING SO. The only drawback is; these are packaged as desktop speakers so if using in your living room as I am the speaker wire provided is not nearly long enough to place your speakers farther apart than about 5ft. from each other. I’m well versed in wiring stereo equipment so for me it was not an issue to cut and add length to the cables. But could be an issue for a novice. And don’t even think of reaching out for support of any kind. It was non existent. So make sure everything works to your liking as I believe your only recourse is save all packaging and return if unable or unhappy.

Nice speakers, poorly designed packaging caused damage
I just installed these speakers today. They came packed in a nest of boxes in styrofoam and wrapped in nice scratch protecting bags. Unfortunately, the bags were a miscalculation on the part of the manufacturer. The bags have a hard plastic closure mechanism (pictured) and either during packing or transit this hard plastic bit shifted and ended up between a speaker edge and the styrofoam. This caused cracked dent and an additional dent on the right hand speaker (pictured). Neither the sound quality nor speaker itself seems otherwise damaged.I really don’t want a cracked dent on my speaker….but I also really don’t want to try to repack these things into all the boxes they came nested in, drive miles into town, drop the speakers off at the UPS store, and then wait weeks for replacements to cone… it’s hot out and I’m lazy. So I’m not returning them…however, I’m pretty GD disappointed that for $500 I’d be put in a situation, because of the manufacturer’s packing fault, that would cause me to have to go through a huge amount of effort or live with a cracked brand new speaker. I shouldn’t have to spend hours of my time and wait for days just to use a product I’ve already paid and waited for.The stupid thing is…these bags are essentially just dust covers. There is literally zero reason for them to have a draw string with a large hard plastic closure. It 100% defeats the purpose of the bag. So manufacturer, if you read this, please contact your packaging engineer and ask them to reconsider the method of closing those bags. A simple cloth drawstring without the hard plastic bit would serve just as well, save you money (because those closures are for sure not zero cost), and prevent damage to the product in transit.Because the damage is due to manufacturer’s original packaging, I can’t give this product the 5-stars I would have otherwise given it. I’m going with 3-stars because they sound nice and work well, but the rage I feel over this stupid cracked dent makes me want to 1-star them, just so you’re aware.

All my favorite songs I’m hearing completely different
I feel like I’m listening to all my favorite songs for the first time, and I’m hearing instruments and sounds that I’ve never heard before. These speakers are incredible. They’re a bit pricy but they are worth it. I also connected them to my AudioTechnica Bluetooth record player and it’s sounding incredible. I also liked that everything you need to get setup is in the box, and the instructions were clear and easy to read.

Loud!
This is definitely an upgrade from my 10-year-old Harman/Kardon speaker set for my laptop. But I’m using it in a small office and the speakers, though the requisite distance apart from each other, are so close to me that it’s painful to listen to them while working on my computer. The sound is clear and rich, but I have to keep the volume at low settings to enjoy while working. High quality materials. Pretty in white. Looks slick and sounds like I’m working in a club when I play EDM. I read prior reviews that the A2 is probably better for desktop use, and I can see why, now. I’d give four stars on quality compared to higher end speakers in a more appropriately sized room, but five stars at this price point given what I saw when I was shopping around. Comparable products were in the $1k-plus range. The speakers I have had i the $250-range for my desktop are a clear step down in quality.

They sound incredible!
The sound quality is next level! I have a music technology background and I can say these are rhe oeefect mix between very high end studio monitors and luxury home sound system speakers. They look so sleek. Quite modern with the glossy piano finish. Heavy, solid build, with rich balanced sound. The bass does not sound boosted at all the highs are tight and clean. Theres also no white noise at all in between audio playing. Easy to synch to my phone or computer set up. They also can get considerably loud without distortion to the audio. Size wise they are large for standard computer speakers but on the small to medium scale for studio monitors. I AM NOT DISAPPOINTED AT ALL! WISH I BOUGHT THESE SOONER

2 YEARS IN GREAT SPEAKERS
so ive owned these speakers for a couple years now no issues i use these for my desktop speakers running through my mac mini via the audioengine d1 dac for for better volume control everything wired tried bluetooth but had intermitted issues at times plus any time i can go wired with any of my audio components/dacs i do so.the one thing i wish they wouldve tried with newer model is to incorporate a 1″ tweeter but the 3/4″ works fine some people might like a little more bottom end base but these speakers to me actually make pretty good base on there own without making the music muddy or dull i also use the soundsource plugin the simplest eq without downloading multiple applications i tend to look/buy from audio companies that do a few components well instead of audio brands that push out multiple items yearly if you make a great product theres no need to pump out a newer model every year.
