What does ‘Radiometric’ mean for drone cameras?

A non-radiometric drone camera just gives you a video that looks like a heat map—good for spotting a person in the dark. A fully radiometric camera (like the WIRIS Pro) saves the exact temperature of every single pixel, allowing engineers to analyze the data on a computer later to see exactly how hot a power line was.

Can the MEDICAS system be used outdoors?

Fever screening should almost never be done outdoors. Wind, sunlight, and extreme cold will drastically alter the surface temperature of human skin, rendering the thermal camera completely inaccurate. Workswell (and all experts) require screening to be done in a controlled, indoor environment.

Does Workswell make their own drones?

No, Workswell manufactures the highly advanced thermal camera payloads. These cameras are designed to attach to massive commercial drones made by companies like DJI or custom enterprise UAV manufacturers.
