My husband LOVES itI ordered this for my husband for Christmas. He absolutely loves it! It sounds clear, crisp and cancels out background noise. It’s super easy to set up too. We live on a main road so recording can be tough sometimes. But not with this microphone! You can tell it isn’t cheaply made. I 10/10 recommend.

Good quality microphone with versatile featuresI’ve been using the Shure MV7X XLR Podcast Microphone for a few weeks now and overall, I am pleased with its performance. The microphone has a pro-quality dynamic mic that captures clear and crisp audio, making it perfect for podcasting. The built-in headphone jack allows for zero-latency monitoring and the USB-C connector makes it easy to connect to computers and other devices. The microphone also has a variety of settings that allow you to customize the sound to your liking. However, the microphone is quite bulky, it’s not the best for travel and portability. Additionally, the price is quite high, it’s a bit on the expensive side. In general, it’s a good microphone with versatile features, but it’s not the most budget-friendly option.

Hands down, best mic I’ve ever hadI have gone through a handful of mics. This one beats them all!I’ve used Snowballs and other USB mics in the past, but this Shure mic buries them all

Good mic to get on saleShure makes good microphones. This one is on the high end of price for what you get, but if you can find it on sale for a few bucks off, then you have a great microphone with great value on your hands. I would definitely recommend it

Great quality for the priceThis product is great but you do need some understanding of what you are getting with this product. The naming convention of adding an X to it is a little confusing as this product is a stripped down version of MV7 as it does not include the USB and other features but otherwise is similar in terms of mic quality. Sound quality is great just make sure you have the right equipment and it does not come with an xlr cable so be sure to buy one if you don’t have one.

Podcasters: needs third party shock mounts and pop filters – but it’s a great mic.Tried a bunch of different mic set ups…(procaster, yeti, audio technica, sony) and ultimately this was the best.My cohost and I record in a small room with lots of neighborhood noise (enormous and purposefully loud pick up trucks/tiny early 90s hondas), and while we use foam, noise curtains, and even some interior storm windows to reduce the idiot noise pollution – we still get a ton of low bleed. My cohost also make SO MANY lip smacking sounds due to Invisalign. After trying different solutions, it was clear that our old mics (audio technica) were not cutting it anymore. The old mics were fine – but after passes in iZotope, and DAYS of editing, we would sound good – but the amount of work needed to get there was back breaking. The Shure mics just have a more whole sound if that makes any sense. The mouth noises are more easily eliminated with iZotope, and it doesn’t seem to degrade the audio like it could with previous mics, it’s serious saved me days of manual editing work. I equalize the audio much less, finding that our natural voices just sound much better, and just overall the recordings are so much easier to edit.As far as those low rumbles… these are the hardest noises to deal with… but I do find that these mic are slightly better at blocking those out. I did, also try the USB version of this model with the different vocal options…and found really no difference in low rumble noise cancelation. So I returned and stuck with the XLR version and save 200 in the process.CONS:Picks up a lot of desk noise – solved by using a table stand, on a silicone hot plate mat, and a shock mount. Arm mounts did not help here as they seemed to pick up more noise and were also harder to position. You need to stay pretty close to these mics and arm mounts allow for gestural movements when talking…which naturally lead to a lot of inconsistent audio. Also another reason not to use an arm mount with these – they are very prone to plosives. This was solved by using BOTH a slightly thicker pop sock along with the stedman pro pop shield…very few plosives sneak by now. You can’t really use the metal pop shield with an arm mount… the directional mesh works best with table mounts.

Higher quality sound and productWell made product and got on sale. Works well with goxlr amp I have. Need to learn how to use amp settings better to fully utilize but quality and build is great. Should come with xlr connector in my opinion.

great microphone but some issuesso i first got the shure mvx7 i have no issues taking it out of the box and setting it up with my scarlett solo, just the technical issues but that could have been cause i’m not very advanced with xlr microphones. at first nothing was picking up on the scarlett and i thought it had to be the xlr cord i have but it wasn’t it took awhile to find but i found a solution, i forgot where someone said it but they said “put the gain to 75% and you should see the green light on the scarlett. and that worked and i’ve been using the shure mvx7 for about a month now and i’ve been getting more traction to my twitch channel do to having a good mic, it does require some tweeks in obs (if you use that) but you can find all you need on youtube, again great microphone just some weird technical issues on my end.
