Nice Mixer, but not suitable for a desktop music work stationI wanted to use this in my music desk which has three rack bays, each 3U. I was hoping that this would be flush with my racks. Unfortunately with the way it’s angled, it would have to tilt forward when mounted and the bottom of the unit is up against my desk. So it will have to be angled. The handles also angle upwards, past the front of it, and that creates more of a problem. The only way to make it fit was to remove the handles and now I’m left with something that looks rather ugly.Otherwise, it still works well, but buyer beware if you’re trying to mount this inside of a desktop rack.

More than just a live recorder… It’s a master control roomBeen using this for over 8 months and the quality and recording capabilities are great. This is your MIXER, RECORDER, EFFECTS machine. Takes raw WAV tracks and places then with lossless quality in several different frequencies. Then just take the SD card to your favorite DAW or plug in directly to your PC. You can connect live and with the Bluetooth remote, connecting to the iPad for levels and recording make it easier. Only downside is that it is only compatible with the iPad for remote controlling. Use a mini so it isn’t that big and you have to scroll, but features are slick and easy to use. Recording is a breeze once you get used to the controls.

I love this thing.Yes, you need an iPad to run it, but that’s a plus. Everything works right away. I bought this as a recorder that can go wherever I need and transfer the tracks back to my DAW without having to tear my computer apart to bring it to the spot. Built in headphone mixes are exactly what I needed. Real happy I got this

BTA-1 Bluetooth remote ADAPTER INCLUDED. No need to buy separately. Edit to add: useage comments. My ZOOM L-20R just arrived a few minutes ago. And so did the extra BTA-1 Bluetooth adapter, which I bought separately, but will have to return. Maybe you don’t have to make this mistake.Edit to add: Been using L-20R for 3 months now. We worked up to this unit and it finally gives our group the inputs and monitor jacks we need. We’re happy with discrete track recording, EFX, ability to import 44.1k stereo or mono backing tracks, personal mix monitoring to six jacks, plus master out. Bluetooth link to iPad works solidly. Smooth sailing generally. Gray labels against dark gray panel is classy, but I did plain black n white labels for visibility. See pix.

Extremely small footprint and excellent recording preamps. This mixer/recorder is very small and light weight. It can take 16 mics/line inputs and 4 additional line inputs. With your iPad you can mix your live performance and record all channels to its SD card. Being able to record individual channels and live mix at the same time is very useful. The preamps are extremely quiet and well thought out.The only negative is you must have an iPad connected to use.

Almost perfectI didn’t buy the mixer on Amazon, I bought it from Sweetwater. This mixer is fantastic but has 3 relatively minor design flaws. It’s not a standard 3U, it’s a bit larger therefore if you mount it in a rack the size must considered. Next all the connections are in the back therefore extra cabling is needed for wireless receivers. Last, it’s only controlled by Apple IPad. Hopefully, zoom will release an Android application of the controlling software.

Best bang for the buck.Convenient with the use of the iPad. Small foot print with Iots of channels, up to 20 channels that you can record live music with. Some people don’t like the fact that you need to have an iPad but it’s really easy to use. Take some getting used to but once you do it’s a breeze.
