Bought it to split set-top box to 2 TVs (1 4K and 1 720p). Only intend to watch 1 TV at 1 time but both simultaneous displays work as well.

It was working for awhile at first but then only outputted one or other output ports not both.
In 2nd day of use so far. Just as a first use trial, I had first HDMI cable OUT going to an HP Compaq 2105tm monitor and 2nd HDMI cable OUT going to an Elgato CamLink HDMI plugged into a Windows 10 PC running OBS Software. It all worked initially. Didn’t need to install any drivers or anything. For the monitor the onscreen signal appeared literally instantaneously. For the cable going to the Elgato CamLink HDMI Windows 10 PC there was a little delay at first, and I think it was while the device setup was being recognized by windows and the driver(s) were being auto-installed. It was just a few seconds. No problem. I thought everything was fine. While I made some settings adjustments to my camera & scene I noticed one of the monitors wasn’t displaying anymore. I unplugged then re-plugged the HDMI cables. Nothing. I repeated but switched swapping which cable went into which HDMI port on the splitter. That worked. Fine. For awhile. Then the signal stopped. Again. This happened 3 or 4 times over a span of about an hour and a half. And then…. the output signal to direct-to-monitor would not produce signal displayed onscreen, regardless of unplugging and replugging, switching swapping cables, rebooting PC, turning monitor(s) off & restarting, etc, etc… I tried everything I could possibly conceive of. I have no idea why it was the cable leading direct to the monitor & not the one leading to the OBS Elgato CamLink HDMI that was being so stubborn. If you ask me, my logic tells me that THAT’s the one that seems like it would be the more stable and stronger and of all things SIMPLER connection of the two since it was just a straight shot, a direct route, no multiple layers or levels of devices & technologies etc etc…. but that’s not how it turned out. INSTEAD, despite all of that, after 2 or 3 HOURS of troubleshooting this dilemna, the Elgato CamLink -to- OBS HDMI-passthru held up its end of the deal come hell or highwater that much I do know. By the way, I have (3) three of the HP Compaq 2105tm monitors, and I so also tried swapping out from the original one to one of the others to try to tweak or reset the firmware of the switcher or whatever, etc etc..Same Result. Ineffective. I have an LG 4K newer monitor with another PC system setup elsewhere that I DID NOT try this on yet. It’s larger and not as portable as the others and, frankly, it’s reserved for other usage and was not intended to be moved/transported for this purpose. So I hadn’t tried it yet as that would involve a lot of disconnecting/unplugging, & lugging from/to etc etc…I just hadn’t escalated to that final resort option, and actually don’t look forward to it, I shouldn’t have to IMHO.So, that’s my review :: 3 STARS :: I can’t say it didn’t work, at all. It did. And the output was very good too. The signal was same as previous direct single cable signal, indistinguishable as far as I can recall.Obviously, your results may and probably will vary from mine, since was using a scheme more involved than simply splitting a signal in the more usual typical mainstream output way it goes.

  4. Daniel

Doesn’t automatically switch Video (HDMI) between 2 TV’s
worked ok for approx 5 months and now intermittent signal loss from Cable box to both TV’s.The representative Mercy from Oume quickly responded to my issue about my HDMI splitter having issues and quickly advised that they would send me an upgraded model under Warranty.I received the new HDMI model and it all works fine now.Thank-you for the great customer service !

Some older TVs act weird with this splitter and aren’t fully compatible.
It took me a while to figure out what was going on or why my computer screen color and settings kept changing each time I start the computer with this switcher. Here’s how I have it set up. I have the hdmi coming out of my computer graphics card going into the single input on the splitter. I then have 1 hdmi cable coming out of output 1 going to my older 1080p desktop 55″ TV screen. The other hdmi cable is coming out of output 2 and goes to my brand new 70″ 4k TV in the other room. I have the setting on the splitter set to “copy”. Tried “auto” and “mixed” and it doesn’t fix my issue which I think is more within the TV, not the splitter. Here’s where the problem is. When the computer and both TVs are turned off, I look at the little splitter box and the light for output 2 going to my new 70″ 4k TV stays lit all of the time. However, my older 1080p 55″ in output 1, the light goes off when the TV is off. This creates the problem. So if I turn on my computer first with both TV’s off, the computer recognizes that the 70″ 4k TV is connected with the light always on, so then a few seconds later when I turn on my older 55″ TV, the light in output 1 turns on, but its too late, the computer has now reverted to a new color theme and display setting making everything washes out from the 70″ 4k TV.To fix this, when both TVs are off and the computer is off, I have to first turn on my older 55″ TV so that the splitter recognizes the 55″ TV display in output 1, then I can turn on the computer. The computer now sees the 55″ TV in output 1 first and recognizes the display color and settings of the 55″ TV that are saved which are the correct and accurate settings. This is weird, but I guess I will always just need to turn on my desktop 55″ older TV first before I turn on the computer to get it to be recognized by the splitter. Why does my older 55″ 1080p TV do this with this splitter? Its as if when the older 55″ TV is turned off is loses all power and signal to the splitter, but with my new 70″ 4k TV, it seems to always stay connected to the splitter and always stays recognized. See pic. output 2 with blue HDMI cable is the 70″ 4k TV with light always lit. Both TVs are off and computer is off, but light in output 2 stays lit for some reason and in output 1 light goes off.

    It is a HDCP2.2 Splitter
I use this splitter to send a video signal to two TVs in different rooms. Both video and sound are transmitted from one HDMI source cable to each TV through the HDMI1 & HDMI2 output ports. I can not see or hear a difference using the splitter or running just one TV from the HDMI source cable. Both TVs I use are 1920X1080 not 4k.
