Description
The D’Addario modular snake system makes it easy to customize the cable configuration to your specific needs by using the desired length of core cable and breakout systems. In addition to those breakouts, D’Addario is now offering the channel stage box which includes 4 Female XLR jacks along with 4 Female XLR/1/4″ Combo jacks in a compact, rugged enclosure. The combo jacks allow you to connect 1/4″ Output devices to your mixer or to return audio from the mixer back to the stage. The small foot print makes it perfect for both home recording and live stage applications. The stage box works especially well as drum set snake or a satellite sub box on larger stages. The D’Addario modular snake system allows you to custom configure your connections to your individual needs without the need for soldering or adapters giving you flexible and easily interchangeable wiring options. It eliminates the need to buy multiple different snakes with permanent ends and provides maximum wiring flexibility in the studio. Available in multiple combinations of core lengths, and breakout connectors for TRS, XLR, Bantam/it and even a connector-free breakout that allows you to choose your own plugs and custom solder to your specific needs. Simply choose your core cable, choose your breakouts, and plug in!.

Solid, sonic performance.Using Promark sticks, D’Addario reeds & strings for a long time. Besides a 1/4″ to XLR jack, this is my first D’Addario/Planet Waves pro audio product. I’m impressed so far. It’s a solid box and sonically pristine. I tried this with a Mogami snake I use for recording and it sounded clean and normal as my connections had daily with various sources. It also secured just fine to the Mogami D connector.I purchased this for my live rig to use with drum mics and a Roland module on my hybrid kit. It gives me enough channels for my set up and seems strong enough to last. It will be on the road no more than 5 or six times in the next 12 months so if a problem arises that changes my opinion on the build I’ll up date. The box is a bit smaller than expected but that is a plus for me. Connections fit in securely. I also purchased the 10′ core cable and 1/4″ fan. The connectors of the fan are made by Amphenol. The sound is clean and will work great for my live situation. While not as accurate as Mogami cable according to my tests, I wouldn’t have any issue using these D’Addario’s for recording if needed. I recommend this box. It offers great value as far as cost sound and build.

Cleans up my cable runs nicely!I have a several d’Addario snakes. Prior to this, i had been using the DB-25 to XLR fan cables (not sure what they are called). Those were great for the patch bay, but less useful for mic cables since you had to turn over each cable to see the channel number.Enter this stage box – cables are now cleaned up, and it’s really easy to find everything.I use a lot of ribbon mics, so it makes it very easy to note which channel any given mic is in. I originally bought just 1 to see if it made a difference, and ended up buying a second one right away.
