Worked great for almost 4 years…
Good unit but only worked for 3 years, 11 months…. I’d expect more life out of it than that. Will look for a superior replacement.

Good Price, good spacing to work in, and nice features.
This unit for the price point is a really good unit. I don’t have much to complain (not really complaints) about it. First of all like many units in this class and other electronics there are lots of Chinese made and clearly made items of its sort. This unit is no different, but it isn’t marked with broken English like many of these products.Pros: It is a large enough to work inside comfortably without being a full size alarm panel. The price is nice and attractive.Love the power indicators on the door for both wall supply (AC) and outbound (DC). This not only serves function but trim and feature.Like the standard power cord lug on the side. Many of these units for simplicity of shipping size to not have the cords attached, and you have to screw it to the posts your self. You could use the knockouts to directly attach the power for the posts if you desired to by pass the side plug.Cons:Still the same 120 AC to 12 DC power inverter that everyone uses in this class of product. To me they just don’t seem robust. To be fair, I have installed about 25 units with this same power supply in them, and none have failed that I have heard of.Overall:This is a great unit for the price point. Many of these cheap units have horribly small cabinets that are so small the DV power outbound wires are laying across the AC cabling just asking for AC “noise” to be introduced. Let alone impossible to work in. Those smaller units have junk post screws to hold you wiring down. This unit does NOT have these complaints. You will be happy with this feature rich unit for the price point. On the side power cord I like that it uses a standard cable, but would like to see a added loop in the kit you could screw on to add a zip tie to prevent it from being unplugged on accident if your install location would warrant this. This would be a nice feature, and only cost 0.002cent to add in manufacturing. To be fair, you could add a wire mold loop to the screw and archive this as the installer too. You could add this loop to the wall next to it as well and not allow leftward travel, so the installer could cover this if so desired easily.

    Cleans up a messy install
Even a diy person can install this product. My lid has the green and red lights, but no explanation on the lid. The picture when I ordered has the explanation. Easy to mount and quite. The key lock is a nice touch. Has plenty of knock out holes.

I then purchased a spool of good quality 500ft Siamese Coaxial RG59 Cable Wire for CCTV …
When I purchased a basic security camera system (8 camera) I began to have issues with my DVR suddenly re-booting or it would just stop recording. Being naive about these kinds of systems I purchased four 100 foot cables and linked them together with the 60 foot cables that came with the system on four cameras that were located far from the DVR. Not faulting the system manufacturer but I suspected that the power cable braids that you plug the DVR and cameras into were the weak link in the system and over the long runs created problems with the DVR. Also taking into consideration the thin gauge of siamese extension cables I purchased.I then purchased a spool of good quality 500ft Siamese Coaxial RG59 Cable Wire for CCTV Security Camera – Combo Video & Power – 20AWG. I powered the cameras with the Evertech 8 channel Port Power Security Box which provides constant 12VDC power for the cameras and used the power cable that came with the system to power the DVR exclusively. This really did the trick, haven’t had any issues with the DVR stopping or re-booting since. I would advise against purchasing cheap cables and pay a little more for better cables. On a side note the cheap cables gave me some ghost imagining or lines at night with the cameras. Anyway I was very pleased how easy it was to wire the cameras into the Evertech Power Box and I highly recommend this product. Thank you and God Bless…

As described in the product page, but the door was broken upon arrival.
Purchased to replace the laptop charger style power connector for a Lorex CCTV security system a customer purchased this Christmas. Helped make for a cleaner, tidier install with a place to hide the wires for the install, rather than plugging them into multiple different power supplies. I really like the two LED Lights for power, good indication if you have AC power from the wall, and DC power for when the On/Off switch is toggled. I’m rating this as a 4 due to, unfortunately, the welds on the top hinge of the door did come undone, and it was only attached on the bottom. Once the key lock is used to lock the door, it’s not as big of a deal and the door will stay on the box fine.

    Very Good But Wait!
This product made my setup cleaner and easier id suggests getting one of these, but their is one hiccup i noticed my psu was acting funny 12v dropped to 11.8 over the past year so i bought a psu replacment, During swapping out the bad one the Brown and blue 120vac wires coming from the main plug were swapped brown was neutral and blue was Hot, Its supposed to be the other way around, So this could of degraded the life of the stock power supply, I resolder those wires refitted my new psu and no problem would give a 5 star but being the wires was reversed

Good Device; better than I expected
This unit is solidly constructed, has a lot of features, and is reasonably priced.I especially like the circuit protection: each of the 9 terminals has its own overload protection and status indicator. This helps isolate a short immediately. There is plenty of amperage for my camera system, and the unit is dead quiet (no fan, no hum).It has front helpful indicator lights for input and output power, and even has a couple of features that I don’t need (an internal on/off switch, a lock with keys), but those might be useful to others and they don’t get in the way.One potential minor improvement would be to include a couple of grommets to fit the knockouts, for protecting wires against chaffing. The power cord is okay, but on the short side – roughly 4′. (Long power cords have their own issues, so I don’t consider it to be a flaw.)Overall, the design, construction, and value exceeded my expectations.

Take a picture of old box before installing new one to remember where wires go.
Worked great. I have minimal tech skills but the lights on my old box were out so I replaced it. Easy to do if you watch how the old box is removed and just reverse it. Cameras came up immediately after replacing the power box.

    Superior Power Supply!
Great power supply! Excellent quality with a stellar design. I love the panel indication LEDs depicting both the AC line input as well as nominal DC output. The internal LEDs for each circuit are also useful. I also like the additional 9th circuit. I used it for camera set-up before installing my external cameras. I high recommend this unit!

  10. John

found this to be the best way to power our camera system
installed first camera system without a central power source like this…big PIAthe second system was with one of these and we found it much easier
