Great Sounding Interface with the Vintage and CompressionI am in love with this interface. It’s the icing on the cake. It just sounds great with the vintage button on and the compressor on vocal. I am using it for spoken word, (Podcast). I was looking not to have to do as much in post with eq and compression.Paired with the Presonus Studio Channel preamp (Mic plugged into the Studio Channel) and then into the volt combo jack with a trs balanced cable from the “out” on the Studio Channel, (gain all the way down on the volt) I am able to use the compression on the Studio Channel, and eq from the Studio Channel into the volt and still use the vintage button on the volt to add a bit of color and then the 76 style compressor on the volt as well. Even though the gain needs to be all the way down on the volt, (to avoid using the volt preamp, as I am using the Studio Channels Mic preamp) I can still use the vintage and compression buttons and they just make the chain complete. So I end up with 2 compressors sharing the load and the eq from the studio channel. I don’t even use an eq in post. I switched the tube on the Studio Channel to an electro harmonix 12ax7 and I am getting great sound. So it’s Mic Into the Studio Channel>TRS from the Studio Channel 1/4″ out (trs) into Volt combo jack (trs) with gain down all the way and the vintage and 76 compressor button on and from the volt into my computer via usb as with any other interface and I am very happy. This added the missing link for me. It just added the right amount of color and compression that I was looking for. This is a great chain for spoken word, solo that is. The presonus is only single channel. That’s not to say this interface can’t hold it’s own on it’s own, you just have to put a bit more effort into post which I don’t want to do. I want my sound going in and then add a spot of imaging or very little. It’s worth the $300. No regrets. And it looks awesome too.

Better than the Focusrite SoloI replaced my Focusrite Solo with this and even thought he price is similar it is very much an upgrade. The sound quality is better from the headphone is amazing. I use this as a external sound card along with an XLR solution for gaming and podcasting with an occasional guitar record session. My voice is warmer than the FR and the issues getting the FR to work with Guitar Rig were nonexistent with the Volt. Headphone output is 50% louder than the FR Solo and the quality is better.

Sounds great, cost is great, doesn’t popPrevious to purchasing this VOLT for MainStage, I had 2 other low cost audio interfaces. A UM202HD, and a Presonus audiobox. Both sounded great but both of them send DC (a pop) from the audio outputs – which is not good when you are on stage performing and turn off the unit. I asked UAD if the Volt pops and they said no. I asked online and a user said no. So I purchased the unit and it is great. No pops. Sounds great. Price is great!

Great gear at an affordable priceI upgraded from a Behringer UM2 to the UA Volt 1. The difference in sound quality is noticeable immediately. The Volt delivers audio that is clearer with a greater dynamic range than other USB interfaces. It has extremely low latency. Once the UA Volt driver is configured with the sample rate that produces the best audio without distortion, you will have an enjoyable time playing and recording. I’m using the Volt to play guitars through effects and tube amp. The Volt processes everything very well. Great job UA. 👍

Fully check the device after purchase.I received the package at the end of September and it was not possible to fully test the audio interface. After buying a microphone (In December) I checked it. The sound for both recording and listening is just great, but unfortunately the direct monitoring function was broken. Runs too quiet. I have to turn the volume of the headphones to half, and only then I start to hear the noisy microphone signal. This is not a mic issue as I hear a clean signal in the DAW. On the forum I found only 1 person with such a problem, he was told that this was a marriage. I recommend the product, but carefully check everything after purchase.

This interface is not USB3 it operates at USB 2.0 480Mbit, just uses a usbc connectorI like everything about this product, except the interface. Although it uses a usbc connector, the device is actually only usb2 speed.

  7. Tim

Worth its value plus more if you get it in saleGreat little audio interface if you get it on sale. If not in on sale there are other good entry level audio interfaces. Can produce enough power to power my hd600(tho the headphones could probably use more power).

  8. Daniel Ortiz

La mejor compra!Tiene una calidad impresionante! Fácil de usar, estéticamente preciosa y graba con un sonido realmente bueno.

  9. Anthony Zuppe

One of the best at its priceThis really should be mentioned alongside the other typical audio interfaces at this price point. Sturdy build, quality preamps capable of driving even the most gain-hungry dynamics in my locker, at least in my use case, which is primarily voice over. The additional mode provides some options if you’d like to add some additional color to a more neutral microphone. If you’re a one-person operation needing to record or stream voice through XLR, I think this is near the top of the list at a fair cost.

De verdad que me sorprendió el producto, excelente y apropiado. No necesitas configuración al sistema, solo lo conectas y a producir audio.
