Absolutely Amazing PTZ Cameras
A little over a year ago we installed 5 of these cameras in the church to stream our services. I’ve worked with studio cameras, but these PTZ cameras just blew me away. Super sharp images and fabulous zoom range. There is a small plaque under a stained glass window about sixty feet from one of the cameras; fully zoomed out one can easily read the plaque, the image being bright, clear and crisp. The FuMaKo camera controller gives the operator command of all the functions for all five cameras, including presetting shots to be called up as needed during the service. With practice one can pan, tilt and zoom the the active or live camera smoothly, achieving an essentially professional looking production. When we encountered a problem with one of the cameras customer service was responsive and excellent, resolving the problem in a more than satisfactory manner even though the camera was out of warranty. I cannot recommend these cameras or customer service highly enough!!!

Good PTZ
This is an impressive PTC IP Camera at a good value price point. It has HDMI and SDI out – that makes it more useful. The lens is a capable 20x range – although the wide in is not very wide – but that’s fine for the applications this is likely to be used for. The picture quality is, on the whole, very good indeed. The lens is sharp in wide and mid zoom and upto 30m – although at full telephoto position there does seem to be softening/bloom of the image – I am not sure if that is optical or from the software noise reduction systems (there are 3 and they can be optimized in menus to suit conditions). The optional digital zoom seems pretty good if used within reason. I suggest updating the firmwares for the cameras / lens. The images in default setup are sharp and the auto exposure, auto white balance, contrast and autofocus appear to work well out of the box. There are plenty of tweaks capable via the remote menu, or the web-based software. The image has BLC, dynamic contrast control (which works well) and gamma adjustment. The PTZ controls are relatively smooth – either controlled by the remote, or a third party networked PTZ controller, or software on a networked PC/Mac or smartphone. I also used a networked iOS app – and that gave me fairly smooth control of PTZ movements.Customer service from Fomako is personal and excellent.Overall – I recommend the FoMako as long as you don’t expect the lens to perform in the far telephoto range.

Works Great -Lite on Support.
There is no local (USA) support, but these aren’t too difficult to setup and use. Good picture, good in low light, one of them is noisy when it’s rotating (in a quiet Church). I’m using only POE for power on 75′ ethernet links. No problems.

Not a bad camera.
The camera picture quality was pretty good. Hook up was easy enough for basic connection with HDMI. Biggest issue remote only works from front side. Also I could not program the preset. I could put some in but it would not accept some. I needed a simpler system. Guess I’ll stick with the camcorder we are using. Didn’t see want to spend another $1000 to get a controller and switcher. We have an older congregation as I use this in our church so anyone else using it to record the service would be very overwhelming to them. So decided to stay simple and return the PTZ.

Fantastic for the price!
We needed a budget friendly camera that looked elegant, gave us remote control of its position, and had a great image, and this camera gave us all three of those! It was not difficult to set up, and as a bonus it is comparable with software from PTZ Optics, so programs like OBS are natively able to work with it. We are also able to control it with an XBox controller, which is an added plus since we don’t need to buy an expensive camera controller.I should point out that you do need more than one camera if you want a PTZ like this though. Moving a live feed is really jerky—and I don’t think that you will have smooth movements with any camera in this price range, which is why I don’t fault this choice. So long as you can cut to another angle while adjusting this camera, it will give you no issues!Again, great camera for a great price. (We just bought another to give us a second angle that we can also control!)

Really nice cameras for church use
We use these in a contemporary church setting with an ATEM switcher, having recently upgraded from another PTZ camera brand which wasn’t working out for us – these are a night and day improvement for not much more money. The big thing for us was the ability to manually set white balance and it doesn’t try to auto-adjust, so you can have RGB/LED lighting scenes changing color behind the band and the skin tone and overall stage stays natural looking on camera. These also save the “focus” setting as part of the shot presets, so you can recall a shot and it’s how you left it, without the camera trying to auto-focus (and fail) every time you change shot, which was crazy annoying with our old cameras. Sometimes the image get a little hazy at the far telephoto end of the zoom, but this is a 20X optical zoom which is ridiculous for the price, and under any sensible zoom setting the image is incredibly clear and crisp. Can’t speak to the streaming or recording options as we run these into our ATEM over SDI and then stream from there, but our team is really liking the upgrade and I’d highly recommend to any churches looking for PTZ cameras.
