My new beach speaker5/20/2022 update: The M6 speaker has survived the beach vacation. It preformed wonderfully as entertainment at the pool, beach, and during golf cart rides everywhere. I had 1 issue, while it was in my beach gear bag I attempted to turn the volume up while blindly pushing buttons. Be careful of that darn phone button, it can switch the device from Bluetooth to Aux input. I had to come back to this page and read about the device features to switch it back to Bluetooth. Love this speaker, I will admit on the beach in the wind with the waves crashing it had to be pretty close to hear the speaker. I’m sure the Tribit MaxSound Plus wouldn’t have that issue but would have weighed multiple times more and cost twice as much. This was hands down the best bang for my buck.Update: I found another negative with this Eduplink M6. I have noticed the USB C to USB C fast charger is incompatible. UBS C to USB works fine. I didn’t deduct a star as I plan to mainly wireless charge our phone so I only need to bring the slow USB charger extra for this speaker. Also within a few weeks I managed to lose the short cable that came with the speaker. Overall still impressed with this speaker.I compared Tribit XSound Go ($31) vs Tribit MaxSound Plus ($50) vs Eduplink M6 ($31), Anker SoundCore ($28). All 4 had a deal, both Tribits & Anker had a coupon and the M6 was on a lightning deal. The M6 punches far above it’s weight class. After watch numerous YouTube videos on the MaxSound Plus I thought for sure it would be perfect, Anker is also mentioned a lot of times.MaxSound Plus is far superior to the XSound Go, now the MaxSound Plus is almost twice the price. But it feels only slightly heavier than the Go, and only slightly larger. If you need the speaker to be smaller I’d recommend looking into the very small options out there. The bass boost and audiobook options on the MaxSound Plus make the sound quality shine compared to the XSound Go.Eduplink M6 is a 360° speaker so comparing to Tribits Stormbox ($100+) would be better but the M6 is priced around XSound Go. The sound isn’t as clear as the Tribit MaxSound Plus. The bass also doesn’t compare to MaxSound Plus which has bass boost capabilities. The M6 is far lighter than either of the Tribit speakers by far, about the same weight as the Anker SoundCore. About half the weight of the MaxSound. But it is slightly bigger than the MaxSound, I think the Anker SoundCore would be about the same size as the Tribit XSound Go but I already returned it so only an estimate.-XSound Go was the smallest of these 3 speakers side by side, Anker very comparable in size.-MaxSound Plus is the loudest-MaxSound Plus has the most clarity-Anker sounds fantastic, it’s no MaxSound Plus, but it’s half the weight and smaller.-M6 will float, Anker also is supposed to float but not drivers up.-M6 is 360° so it sounds the same on every side-M6 has RGB lighting effects “party lights”-M6 arrived with a cosmetic defect-Anker does NOT have a cover for the charger port, only 1 with the old micro-USB cable-Tribit and Eduplink all have a cover for the charge port, USB-C-Tribit cover is easier to open, better design-All 4 have auxiliary port, all but Anker came with Aux cord.-All 4 say 20+ hours of battery life. It took me 3 days to drain the MaxSound Plus.I’m leaning towards keeping the Eduplink M6 because I need a beach speaker. The XSound Go doesn’t stand a chance in this race. Anker SoundCore would be a top contender IF it had a cover on the charger port. The real comparison is between M6 and MaxSound Plus. Both are plenty loud enough, MaxSound Plus has better clarity and much better bass. The M6 feels half the weight, the woven material on the M6 and silicone ends make me think it will do better keeping the sand out. The front of the MaxSound Plus has holes and if the speaker is knocked in the sand I fear it may get sand on the drivers. The M6 was almost half the price. The M6 feels like you could throw it and withstand damage better, pure speculation. If the Tribit MaxSound Plus speaker was lighter it would be my new beach speaker. I am keeping the M6 as I already have to carry a beach tent, towels, sand castle toys, & a toddler. The weight played the major deciding factor for me. Anker could have been a top contender but dropped the ball on the outdated charger port and no cover.Anker does have an upgraded version the SoundCore 2, WITH a charger and aux port cover, however still micro USB charger, also mentions a bass up feature however it’s currently $40 without a coupon. If it was USB-C I’d give it a chance.Anker Soundcore is the cheapest option of the 4 and the Anker Soundcore does sound better than the Eduplink M6 from the front. The Anker gets louder and has better clarity than the Eduplink. I fear the micro-usb charger failing especially having it on the beach sitting in the sand. I will keep the Eduplink M6, because the USB-C charger plus being a covered port so sand won’t play a factor.

Lots of volume, too much bass for my tasteIt’s about 30% wider and taller than a soda can, for reference. It can be set upside down or upright; there is silicone on either end and it won’t mar your desktop and will be stable. The bass is actually fine but I like the treble to stand out a bit more and the bass tends to drown it. I suspect most people will like the sound. I’m an odd duck. Overall the sound is good for the price point. The second picture is how low I have the volume. My old speaker, a G-POP, would need to be all the way up for me to hear it. I can see how at full volume this would work for a gathering of people in or outdoors. I’m just needing it for listening to music or watching TV on my chromebook. I am not a person who needs a surround sound and all that; this works just fine for me.I can’t speak to the battery life; I just received it. I know I won’t have to keep it on the charger as I have been doing with my old speaker. If it can last my workday, that’s sufficient.

Perfectly acceptableI’m a music “junky,” and I bought this little speaker so that I could have some music to have on in the background as I worked my side gig , where I work alone in an office . The tonal range is probably the only complain that I have about it, with the bass end not really very strong . However, that’s a minor quibble for an otherwise excellent bluetooth speaker . The music is quite clear , and the speaker picks up the siganl from my phone very well, even through multiple walls . It’s well worth the price .

First stopped charging after 6 months – Warranty service was excellent. This product performs as advertised; however, it was the warranty service that impressed me. I contacted them after mine failed to charge with my Amazon purchase date and order number requesting warranty service. They responded within a day, confirmed my mailing address, and sent me a replacement. The whole process from contact to product receipt took less than a week. Anyone can sell you something, but it is the ones that stand behind their product that impresses me.

Excellent Speaker for Personal Use.Good build quality, good battery life and great sound quality. As long as you use it as a “personal speaker” and keep it within 20 ft close to you it’s very loud with good bass and crisp treble. Just don’t try to use it to fill up a big room with sound. It’s not built for that. I purchased a second one to use in my 30x30ft garage gym and it’s plenty loud. Keep the two speakers with in 3ft of each other so they don’t loose their connection. With that being said I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Excellent sound quality and battery lifeThis is a great and powerful little speaker. The changing colored lights are a fun bonus, but primarily enjoy the fact that the battery life is quite long and the sound quality is excellent. It’s max volume can definitely pump out. Easy to set up and sync any device.

Was great while it lastedHave used off and on since purchased just about exactly 1 year now. Today it lost blu tooth connectivity. there was an android update, I verified phone still connected to other devices and it does so that eliminates a phone issue. Amazingly I still had the original box with the mic cable so that will have to do for now.
