Great audio qualityI have been trying to obtain information about the AD converters used in this unit. Couldn’t find anything on the internet. I ordered the unit and connected it from my mixer to the Dante network, and am very impressed with the quality of the resulting signal in my DAW. The converters and circuitry inside the unit must be quite good.

Difficult to set-upI have the Avio powered up and Donte Controller has the green checkmarks, but I get no sound into vMix when I add an Audio Input and no way to even access the audio in Windows 10 to get a verification that sound is coming through. Videos that Audinate/Dante provided don’t even cover how to verify if you have sound or what to do after you check the boxes in Controller and no resources for trouble shooting. Firmware is up to date, reinstalled Virtual Sound Card, etc, but no joy.

Stable and work peace of mindI love Audinate Dante product which under their own brand. I’ve experienced some issues when using other Dante implemented product by other brand, but never on Dante product by native Audinate brand. I’ve use Audinate Dante AVIO almost one year and it work perfect every time it powered up by PoE switch and none issue occurred.

Great DonglesThese are great for bringing legacy gear into your AoIP network. Because they speak AES 67 as well as Dante they will fit into about any audio network.

Not suitable for latency free sound using PCI wanted to use this product to send Master Output from a DJ Mixer XDJ-XZ into a PC and from there into Sonos speakers to be used as Monitor Speakers.TL;DR: If you need latency-free sound from the source + PC it will never work, PC introduces delay regardless of connectivity method due to sample buffers. If you don’t hear the source directly this works well. The product itself is working well, from what I could read of the Dante controller, it has a sub-millisecond delay, however, the PC drivers use sample buffers which introduces large latency in transit. There was a considerable delay from Headphones Cue to Master Out speakers so much so it could well be playing a different sound. I ended up getting an Analog to Digital converter and connecting the Sonos directly over Toslink to HDMI converter.Be warned if you use this with a PC you need a POE switch or injector you also need the Dante Virtual Soundcard for channel mapping. There is no refund on the Dante Virtual Soundcard software so if it does not work like it did not work for me, its money out the window.
