What is blockchain?
According to Don & Alex Tapscott, authors Blockchain Revolution (2016),“blockchain is an incorruptible digital ledger of economic transactions that can be programmed to record not just financial transactions but virtually everything of value.”
Blockchain is a means of managing electronic cash without a central administrator. Based on the crypto-currency Bitcoin, it uses a distributed database. This means than no central entity such as a government or bank manages the transaction.
