Overall I highly recommendThe media could not be loaded.

Overall I am very happy with this camera. I posted a very lengthy review of the 20x model which I also have, and there is a lot of overlap between the two. Really the only difference is the camera itself, where the 20x is overall a higher quality, but the 4x is physically smaller and has a wider field of view when zoomed out which I like and makes it more appropriate for applications where I don’t need to zoom into Venus. I will just copy and paste all the relevant parts here for the 4x model:I ordered both the Yoluke 20x and 4x PTZ cameras to put on my home after a very long and exhausting search for security cameras, and after a couple months with each I have been very happy although with a few minor quibbles.Bottom line is if you have a way to power these (if you don’t absolutely require a wireless option), then I cannot recommend these cameras enough! Prior to this I had tried the Reolink brand wireless camera that I had very high hopes for, but I ended up returning it because it was very disappointing and unable to meet my needs on a number of points (very short range motion pickup, often wouldn’t pickup motion at all, no constant record, short range night vision).First off the image clarity is very good, and the auto focus optical zoom works well, the attached file doesn’t really do it justice as the video was recorded only in standard definition, so not the best quality the camera is capable of, and this was a recording of me streaming the video with bad internet which affected the quality as well. The night vision is excellent and relatively long range compared to the Reolink I tried, but overall its Yoluke 20x zoom big brother does seem to have a better camera to me in all these areas. One thing I like more about the 4x model is when zoomed out, the camera is somewhat wide angle giving a relatively large field of view compared to the 20x, which makes it great for covering a static position like a front porch or back patio. The 4x model is also physically much smaller and less noticeable.Everything else so far seems to me to be identical to the 20x model and the following is straight up copied from my review of that:Motion sensitivity is very good and decently ranged, and has a decently sized continuum for adjustment. The “humanoid” mode is alright, it helps prevent a lot of false alarms from blowing branches and zooming birds and such, but also prevents pickup of vehicles and it does still pickup occasionally on wildlife as well as my chickens (especially my rooster, who walks like a little person!); but that is not all bad because I like to see what’s creeping around my house besides nefarious humans. There is a neat feature where it puts a yellow box around a detected humanoid form, but I ended up disabling the feature as I could see how it might potentially obscure the face of a person enough to hinder identification by the authorities. With a 128 gb micro SD card (purchased separately) it has tons of space, it seems to be enough to store 2-3 weeks of constant record video on the highest quality setting, and it seems to just automatically overwrite the oldest previously recorded data which is great. The audio out (when I talk to someone through the camera by using the phone app) is surprisingly loud and with good-enough clarity, which was not what I was expecting and a nice surprise. The audio-in (someone talking to me through the camera) is somewhat variable, and seems to greatly depend on the orientation of the microphone-pickup. Sometimes I can hear conversation clearly from 30 yards away and sometimes it is indiscernible from only 10 yards depending on the relative orientation of the camera, but so far has been plenty good for my purposes.Customer service is fantastic! After a couple weeks the motor inside the 4x camera must have broke as I could no longer pivot the ball turret. I reached out to customer support and “Joanna” (she seems to be everywhere all the time) got back to me very promptly and with pretty good English. Within a very short time of describing the problem as best as I could, she said she “consulted the engineers” and they suspected it was a hardware issue, and they express shipped me a new camera out ASAP which I have had no issues with since. They didn’t even need to wait for me to send in the old broken one first. I know it is a different model than this one being reviewed, but it is the same company so there you go. They definitely standby their product which is refreshing in my experience when dealing with overseas manufacturers. I was a very happy customer! The Camhi Pro app that is used to operate the camera is a little wonky, but very workable with my Android based phone. Again the Chinese-to-English translations aren’t perfect, and controlling the camera especially on high zoom can be a little ungainly and takes a little practice. But once you get the hang of it, it works well enough. The functionality allows you to adjust motion sensitivity, adjust picture settings, set preset locations, and set a cruiser mode where the camera continuously pans between preset locations, along with other more advanced settings giving you a great amount of control. I have not installed the PC software although I suspect it works a little better than swiping on the phone touch screen. I can stream live video to my phone from anywhere, and as long as I am connected to my home wifi I can stream in the full HD setting without any issues. But because my home internet is really poor with a bandwidth between 2-6 mbps (most people living in the country can relate), streaming while away from home requires excellent broadband to compensate, and if all I have is 4G mobile data then I can only really stream on the standard definition setting, and even then it can be a little choppy. However no matter how I stream video, it is constantly recording on the maximum HD setting for later review.Setup was fairly easy although a bit more involved than the completely wireless Reolink brand model I had tried earlier. For power, I had located my cameras near to exterior outlets around my home using the provided screws to drill them right into the wooden eves. I will say the screws provided are a very soft metal, so be careful as they seem to strip out very easily. I then tacked up extension cords that matched my home’s color to underneath the eaves and running down behind the gutter drains to maintain a nice clean look. Theoretically a criminal could spot them and just unplug the cameras, but at that point they would have given me an alert to my phone as well as have been recorded on the cameras up to that point for later use in a criminal case. I just tied and tacked up the unused Ethernet cord and security system cord out of the way since I was using the wifi function instead. I had no issues connecting the cameras to my wifi and performing the initial setup, the instructions were fairly simple and sufficient. The wifi range is good, one camera about 20 yards away and through several walls is connected to the main wifi with a strong connective signal, and another one on the opposite corner of my home is connected via a range extender in the garage that I already had, and I have had no issues with that. My biggest worry when ordering these was if my slow internet connection would be enough to function, which has proven to not be much of an issue at all.All in all, I am very happy with the cameras for the price. The longevity is still in question especially after having the one that broke on me, but assuming they work for many years to come I can fully recommend this camera to anyone looking for a great Pivot-Tilt-Zoom model. But I will add one caveat that most people probably don’t care about:Call me paranoid, but I assume for various reasons that these cameras are “hacked” by the Chinese government (as well as the devices such as phones and computers connected to them), allowing them to drop in for a look and listen whenever they like. I already treat my phone as compromised due to all of the litany of absurd permissions given to an abundance of apps, so it doesn’t bother me much if any big brothers out there want to see my yard and listen to me mow the lawn in addition to that. But it might be something that some people consider if they live or work in a sensitive area.

This Camera is Amazing!Bandwidth is precious, and I didn’t want a camera that streamed 24/7 to the cloud. After researching several cameras, this one caught my eye because of it’s features. You can still access it remotely and view images and videos written to an internal SD Card. The card must be purchased seperately, but that is a small price to pay for a quality camera with tons of features. The pictures are beautifully and the night vision is hard to believe. It can be pitch black outside and the camera display looks like daylight. There are 3 ways to access your camera’s live view or to view images written to the SD Card (up to 128G) The App for Android or IOS works great and sends push alarms when motion is detected. The Web view is the most convenient for me, from any web browser you can change settings, and use controls to move the camera around. The 3rd is the software, which works fine, but to me was a little confusing, but you have a choice !! Great camera ! Definitely glad that I went with this one !!

Advance Settings For The PriceThe media could not be loaded.

This camera was a little tricky to get setup originally. However once setup it amazed me in terms of the quality of the image and build quality. The camera itself is metal and weighs a few pounds so a sturdy install location is necessary. Gaining access to the camera’s firmware for setup was not as an easy task as I had thought. The manual that comes on the mini disk refers to connecting to the camera using its hotspot with any IP cam mobile app. However you can simply connect to it using a laptop’s wifi connection if necessary. This wifi hotspot is very short range and only can be connected if a few feet away from it.As for using a wired network connection it was a bit more tricky. Once you plug a patch cable into the camera the wifi hotspot shuts itself off which helps with network security. From my understanding and experimentation if you plug the camera into your computer using a patch cable you will need to configure your network adapter to be of a 192.168.1.0 network IP only for initial setup. You can later change the network if necessary. My cameras initial IP was 192.168.1.88.Once I connected to the cameras firmware web page you are able to configure and monitor the camera. However to monitor it you will have to acquire a specific ActiveX installation that it links to. Otherwise you can configure the camera to your hearts desire with or without it.If you mess up the configuration and cant regain access for some reason, there is a physical reset button with the wires. You hold in 5 – 8 seconds and the camera will reset itself. It also came with a nice cap to weather proof it.As for the web configuration, I was blown away by how many settings it had. The first thing I played around with was the position settings along with the controls. Saving a certain position for a camera to go to when called upon was a really cool feature. However I did not see any way to list how many positions were saved so it relies of you just remembering. (See video) Another great feature was the zooming. There were 2 types of zooming built into it. The first was lens zooming which retains the quality of the image. The other was software which losses quality as you zoom in. I liked how you could zoom in using both at the same time. The camera settings had all the typical settings you can expect from an IP camera, however I liked how it contained H.265 video coding which makes this camera help future proof itself. The humanoid detection was a new feature I have not seen in a IP camera before and I might use in the future. I also liked the audio alarm settings. I liked the quality put into the system config because its had to find good valued cameras with firmware upgrade and reboot buttons. In regards to the mic and speaker, I found it to be very loud and overly sensitive. From my experience audio being sent to the camera would bounce off the wall behind it and go into the mic creating this echo screeching sound that all microphones can do. I would recommend installing this away from a wall a bit if you intend to use the speaker for anything more than an alarm because the speaker is on the back facing the wall usually.Pros:- Simple Install- Built in mic and speaker- SD Card Slot- Really good IR- Humanoid detection firmware- Physical reset button.- Lens zoom and software zoomCons:- No POE- Longer power cable is necessary- Mic echos via speaker

Excellent choice for outdoor WiFi security camera with zoom. Here’s why…The media could not be loaded.

I have been looking for an outdoor wireless security camera for a very long time. My biggest challenge is that, although I’m pretty technically proficient, I don’t know much about security cameras. After a rash of car break-ins in our neighborhood, it was time to make a move.I created a list of requirements that I’d like to have in my camera:1. clear images – need to be able to use the video for evidence2. Wireless – I’d prefer not to run network cable to the camera… power will be difficult enough.3. Night vision – most of the activity I’m interested in capturing will probably occur at night4. Panning – I have a number of directions I need to monitor… I don’t want to buy three cameras, just one that can pan as needed5. Zoom – if I need more detail, like license plate info, I want to be able to gather that information6. No subscriptions – that’s a deal-breaker! I don’t need professional monitoring, just a camera outside that I can leverage to see what’s going on without requiring a member of my family to go outside7. Storage – if I find out my car got broken into yesterday and I didn’t notice until today, I want to be able to retrieve the footageI started out looking at three cameras, all 5 MP for image clarity a 30x zoom, a 20x zoom, and this 4x zoom model. Having little experience with security cameras, and wanting to start out as frugal as possible, I selected this 4x zoom camera. The first step is to download the camera interface software. I selected CamHipro for my iPhone because it just seemed easiest. It was the right choice (for me) and it ended up doing everything I needed it to do. I still haven’t downloaded any of the other software that was recommended, and doubt I’ll ever need to do so.I’m not sure why people struggled with the printed manual, I found it to be fine, but maybe because I chose CamHipro and the other software choices are more complicated. Dunno. Anyway, you need to authenticate to the camera, I chose to use the cameras WiFi gateway, and it worked on the first try. Then you can configure your WiFi and you’re ready to go.Once that’s done, simply use your phone to pan the camera, record images and video, set tracking on humanoid shapes, etc. Quick, simple, and effective. I was up and running very quickly and playing with my new camera. I am still not an expert on security cameras, and this one probably does way more than I need it to do.I can now pan the camera and have it automatically track people walking around near my house, even at night. I purchased a 128GB card for $20 to store all my data and it seems to store several days of data, even at highest quality, before it overwrites. Best of all, I can use the automated notifications, and do NOT need to buy any subscriptions. Also, I had a question about an undocumented button on the camera cable, and contacted the support team. Surprisingly, they responded within a few hours to notify me of the answer. It was clear English, prompt, and most importantly, correct. That is rare, and it honestly won me over.If you have similar requirements to mine (listed above), and need an easy to use outdoor security camera that is cost-effective, has 4x zoom, and can see in pitch darkness (see attached image), then I definitely recommend this one.

Great picture with excellent zoom! Needs a little work on the language. The media could not be loaded.

My co-worker purchased this camera for his set up and had a good experience with it, he recommended this purchase to me. I have the camera set up in my garage which has proven to be a challenging set up!The difficulty is the difference in lighting between inside the garage and outside the garage; the camera has a WDR mode which helps for this scenario but it still provides a very challenging set up! I have provided screenshots showing my challenging lighting situation during the daytime and also with night vision. The video shows me performing a manual zoom, pan and tilt, and also show both adults and children running around in the view of the camera. The zoom and pan/tilt functions work great and are responsive. This is in contrast to the lorex system I previously used. The pan/tilt/zoom controls on their dome cameras were very slow to respond, so I am quite happy with the response of this system! It is almost instantaneous. You can see that when there are people outside the garage, the camera has a hard time identifying them. Sometimes the person detection successfully draws a box around the person and sometimes it does not. This is due to the washed-out quality of the image outside the garage.I was able to adjust the camera to get a good image from the inside of the garage, however when set up this way the outside is washed out. This is consistent with other cameras I have used, you have to choose either/or. Either you get a good quality image of the inside, or a good quality image of the outside, because the difference in lighting is so much. When the lighting conditions are favorable, person tracking does a great job! It is able to detect children as well without issue. The night vision on the camera performs great, I have also uploaded photos of that. You can see that my garage is fully illuminated by the 6 night vision IR LEDs on this camera. The night vision even penetrates the front windshield of a vehicle, if someone was sitting in the driver/passenger seat I would be able to identify them from the camera image. Please note the camera does not support PoE; my co-worker advised me to purchase a separate PoE splitter which has worked excellent to power the camera from a standard PoE+ switch.

Built GoodI had purchased another brand and had issues so it was returned to Amazon and I decided to go with this one. I’m happy i did. Camera works great during the day and night vision is clear with good distance. PTZ functions are nice bonus for the price of the camera. I don’t use wireless so I cant give any comments on that. I use ethernet hookup to my router which works great. Some of the features I like are:5MP ResolutionPan, Tilt, 4x Optical ZoomTwo-Way TalkMade of metalPicture qualityAs far as software there are third party software that works well with it. Below are the ones I tried which work with the camera. There might be others out there that will work. All software was used on a windows 10 pc.P2P Client came with the cam and it works but it could be better. I have some issues with software getting a bit fuzzy at times and its always adjusting for clear pic. It does have motion detection and works great. It has the best ptz functions with no delays. I have it installed but don’t use it regularly.Blue iris worked and didn’t have any issues.ispy I did have a few issues with picture quality initially but I got it sorted out. There ptz functions aren’t the easiest to use but do work including motion detection.Contaware ContaCam worked great but the version software I used had no ptz functions. If that doesn’t matter give it a try.The software I use is anycam.io. It works great and its free if you have 1 camera but if more then 1 cam then you need to buy the software which is inexpensive. To have ptz functions you need to set camera up as onvif . The only issues with ptz functions is there is a couple of second delay from when you use the ptz functions and it doesn’t track motion on the free version. It’s not an issue for me but could be for some. This is the one I use and i find it has a great clear pic.As for my phone I use the software that came with the camera. Not great but it does work. You can move the camera by using your finger on the picture.I wish it had ptz function buttons but on android I don’t see any.Final thoughts:I’m happy I purchased this camera and hoping it will last. Its got great build quality comes with 1 year warranty and enough software choices to make everyone happy.

Good choice for residential NOW with Auto TrackingI have a decent home setup and this made the final piece. I have 5 4K 8MP bullet cams covering the house and yard, but I wanted an Auto Tracking PTZ camera at the front of the house on the peak for both deterrence, two way audio, and an alarm very visible and above the front door/foyer. My bullet cams are high end with two way audio, alarm, and spotlights, but they are strategically placed around to cover entire residence without having any audio at the front door. I’ve been through 5 different PTZ cameras from $59 to $459 and settled on this. I’ll give you the pros and cons and some tips on setting up auto tracking.(NOTE: The Company also sells a 20X that tech support encourages you to purchase. While it’s only $100 more residences rarely need that level of magnification)Pros:• Cost, for $140 to get a solidly built, PTZ, two way audio, and alarm that supports auto tracking is hard to beat.• Integrate with Blue Iris 5 seamlessly• Ethernet connectivity is great, but not POE• I don’t use the WiFi option, but it gets a good signal• Metal housing, not plastic• Once figured out, Auto tracking stays on even if power goes out then comes back on• Great picture, noticeably better than the 1080p one I tried that costs over $400• Good speed and tracks well. The cheaper ones I checked out couldn’t keep up with someone walking at a normal gait• Tech support is quick to respond, but there’s a con belowCons:• Must use IE if configuring through IP address• Can’t separate the alarm schedule from the motion and tracking schedule (means any alarm will go off all day)• No auto zoom• Hard to figure out how to setup auto tracking• Tech support only answers emails on China time, and it’s obvious language is an issue when explaining things• Not POE so you must have an outlet or wiring for the DC adapter (not really the same as POE injector)• Software is limited and while it has presets none of them have any built in functionality• Half Duplex with 2 way audio, not full

Nice camera! Was 5 star but I lowered it to 3. See 18 month update below.I installed this camera about three weeks ago. So far I can give it five stars. The picture clarity is amazing and the optical zoom function is nice as well. It was a little difficult to set up the email notifications, but I prevailed. I have not set up the FTP functions yet so getting a recorded video onto my laptop has to be done through my cell phone. The user manual is a bit clunky but the seller has offered to email me an updated version. I like the CamHiPro cell phone app but was unable to configure the HiP2P client on my Windows laptop. Maybe the new manual will help. The camera is pretty sensitive and will recognize a human form with option to track movement by rotating the camera. The unit is well made and is suspended by an aluminum casting. It easily mounts to the wall with a keyed mounting block and it also includes a self adhesive mounting hole template, nice touch! Be aware that this requires a power source so you will likely have to drill a hole through a wall to pass the cord through. Nice camera with incredible night vision. Well made for the price with lots of options. We will see how it likes sub-zero winter weather but no issues so far with record rainfall.Update: After 18 months of service, this camera failed to switch into night vision mode, but since I loved the performance so much, I decided to buy another to replace it. I finally got the time to do a post mortem on the failing camera and here are my impressions. I still feel that the camera is well built. The housing is all diecast metal and after 18 months exposed to the weather, there was absolutely no sign that moisture had gotten inside. What I did find however was two tiny broken wires where the gimbal rotates the camera up and down (see pic) These wires are potted at the joint creating a stress point that flexes whenever the camera reboots itself. I consider this a major design flaw. Perhaps silicone jacketed wires would flex better, but the wires that they used places all of the strain at one spot. Lowering my five star review to three stars. Still an amazing value for the price but I hate to throw this camera away just because of a broken wire.

Great features for the price point. Responsive customer service addressed my issues. The media could not be loaded.

This camera provides excellent hardware for the price point! I was able to integrate it into my existing Blue Iris camera system without issue.I have attached a representative image from daytime. We are planting the next season’s garden and you can see my happy 3 legged dog helping us 😀 The image is quite clear and you can see the “person recognition” actively highlighting both of us.I’ve also uploaded a video showcasing the action of the camera through varying sequences, with differing conditions. You can see the behavior of the automatic person tracking during daytime, night time, and with various other moving objects (dogs) to confuse the algorithm. It performs quite well! The camera returns to home once the objects it is tracking have gone out of view.I also showcase the zoom function of the camera, going from 0x zoom to 4x zoom, panning around, and back to 0x. One thing I note is that with “3D Noise Reduction” active, the zoom function tends to cause a “smearing” effect with the video. This effect is temporary and goes away quickly once the camera’s auto-focus hunts and finds the proper focal point. Other models I have used with the zoom function do not hunt as much. This is only an issue at the exact moment you perform the zoom action; once you find the position and zoom you desire the camera picture is excellent.I did run into a problem with the auto tracking, the lens supports full rotation 180 degrees. There is glitch with the firmware tracking which causes the camera to rotate in the opposite direction than intended when the camera is tilted 180 degrees. I am in the process of working with Customer Service to correct this glitch.Night vision performs well and the camera has been dutifuly sending recordings to my Blue Iris server for a solid month now. I have no glitches in the recording and everything looks great! One thing of note; the camera did not support PoE out of box; power can only be supplied via the 12v barrel plug on the camera. I was able to purchase a PoE splitter to enable the camera to work with PoE. This solution works great and I have not run into any power related issues.

Great solid metal construction and all the functionality I need for my main front door camThe media could not be loaded.

I’ve been waiting a long time to be able to afford a nice metal dome camera like this. I’m very impressed with the solid build quality and metal construction. mounting it to the wall by my front door was two-screws easy.It comes with a surprisingly small and slim 2Amp power supply and then straight into my ethernet switch.I found it’s IP address and then logged into it and adjusted things as I like them.it has all the adjustments I expect and then some. I don’t use much of the fancy stuff since I let my Blur Iris software handle most of that. I did notice the WDR setting was OFF so I enabled that to the default settings and it works great to balance the light and dark areas of a scene.I also change the default password of course, as always.I haven’t adjusted much else. it switches to night mode and day mode just fine by itself.I set a few positions on the PTZ and then went to Blue Iris to connect it there.Oh, I also changed the ONVIF port in the camera from its internal webpage to 8999, which is more common and what blue iris is expecting.Looks great in Blue Iris!really very happy, the wide-angle is just wide enough for front door use and the telephoto really changes the picture when needed.the video I include here is in real-time, the movement is pretty fast on this thing.the two pics looking out over my front gate to show the min zoom to max zoom difference. great for this application.the two photos of the gate show the same min and max zoom capabilities.the third photo is looking straight down (on top of a bush) so I can see where the cats sleep and eat (and the skunks)i can only attach one video otherwise I would include one of the skunks coming to eat the cat food at night…and the speaker and mic work great. really handy when we’re away from home and talk to the cat sitters. Surprisingly loudspeaker too.Really for the money, this is a very solid camera and will be my main front door camera for a long time now probably. can’t imagine why I would need more performance than this thing has to offer.
