Overpriced for no more than it is…
This lighting package is just okay, definitely nothing exciting. It’s not a good investment even though I got it considerably cheaper than its regular retail price. Since for a much lower price there are many other lights on the market that have many more options. I own quite a few RGB panel lights, some costing as little as $30, yet they are far superior to this Rotolight kit. With an RGB light you are able to dial in color temperature as well as specific colors making it easy to match the color temperature of your setting if you are unable to control the lighting of a venue. RGB lights are also great for setting mood or creating drama in both your photos and video shots. Unfortunately these Rotolights require gels in order to adjust the lights color. The light output of these Rotolights is also not as strong as you may believe if you have watched product videos for this lighting system. I have 60 watt RGB lights that put out significantly more light than the Aeos. Also, the accessories for Rotolights are priced extremely high and for the most part are incompatible with virtually all other lighting gear from other companies, except that the Elinchrom trigger for Rotolight may also work with Elinchrom strobes. Though I am not even sure of that since I do not run Elinchrom strobes. I was at least able to purchase some lighter weight, lower priced batteries which have a higher mAh rating than the Rotolight brand batteries, but this has been the only savings. Personally, I regret purchasing this Rotolight system, though I do still use these lights just so they are not a complete waste of my money. But there are many more better alternatives which cost less, are lighter weight, have a smaller footprint, have greater light output and a longer run-time with built-in rechargeable batteries.

Double edged sword
This is an amazing product, with incredible features, great power output, light and portable. I manage to get it on sale for $1000 off, which makes it even better, however, all the accessories are so expensive. A Rotolight V-mount batterie is $250, a Honeycombe is $200, Barn Doors $170, a pack of filters $65, the Illuminator (which is the only “softbox” you can fit, because of the shape of the light) is $180 for what essentially is a fancy looking umbrella and not to mention that if you want to use the light as a flash/strobe you need a Elinchrom transmiter which is $250 and to my knowledge (I could be wrong) it only works with Rotolight and Elinchrom lights. What I’m trying to say is before you buy is to make sure it is what you want, because once you’re in it, is going to cost a lot of money.

Ich habe nicht lange auf meine Rotolight warten müssen, ich stellte fest, dass ein Netzteil fehlte, aber dank der reibungslosen und zügigen Abwicklung mit dem Verkäufer, bekam ich in kürzester Zeit ein neues geschickt. Das nenne ich Service ! Bin sehr zufrieden mit allem. Hier bestelle ich gerne wieder! Ansonsten funktionieren die AEOS tadellos, wie erwartet.
