10 reviews for Rode NT1-A Large-Diaphragm Condenser Microphone

  1. Victor

VERY pleasedI’ve been using a CAD GXL2200 Cardioid Condenser Microphone for years (purchased in 2009) – but it suddenly started acting up, creating a noisy “wind sound” when recording (vocals) – so I searched out condenser microphones, and (based on the Amazon reviews) took a chance on this Rode NT1 Condenser Microphone. It arrived quickly – was well packaged – and arrived unharmed. (whew!) Unpacking the mic, I was afraid MAYBE I’d not made a wise purchase, based on the way the “cradle” felt (the plastic thing the mic fits into, on the mic stand) – this “cradle” works well, does what it’s supposed to… just had a feel to it, like something cheap, so I was afraid the mic would also be inferior.Boy, was I wrong! I hooked up the mic, turned my recording equipment on, and started singing into this mic. WOW! GREAT sound!!! A much warmer sound than my previous microphone – ZERO background noise – clear, crisp enunciation picked up, without ANY sound of harshness. Seriously – I was blown away by how good this microphone sounds.Another plus: Comes with a long cable – a supple one, at that. (Some of my mic cables don’t necessarily bend as easily as this new cable does.)This mic is so good, that I don’t even care about that initial “plastic” feel to the “cradle.” Whatever. The cradle does its job, holds the mic in place (along w. the screen). The mic is attractive, and records like no microphone I’ve had before. TOTALLY recommend this condenser mic.

  2. Ori-David Musai

Worth more than I paid forVery good build quality. Sounds great. Comes with all accessories

  3. Humberto Lootens

Sound QualityThis microphone is excellent at reproducing sound accurately. It has a slight boost in the high end, which some users may find unpleasant. However, I enjoy recording vocals and spoken word with this microphone.

  4. Marie Benoit

    Awesome productAwesome Product

  8. SevenSees

The sound quality is superior compared to my previous good-quality 100 dollar mic.No distortion in the sound, “p’s” and “b’s” are clouded out. Good mic overall – wish it had an off switch though. Otherwise, it’s a must purchase item, even for a beginner.

  9. Ku-hu

Best MicI have used Shuru 58 dynamic and AKG 220 condenser for hobby/karaoke singing app. So far I like this as this is quietest mic and vocals are very crystal clear.

  10. Jeff Egelston

Top of the line condenser microphone that is suitable for a vast array of demand! The media could not be loaded.
