Description

USB-Pro Stereo USB Laptop DI. “The Radial USB-Pro is a high-resolution stereo direct box designed to convert sound files from a laptop computer and seamlessly transfer them to a pair of balanced audio outputs to feed a PA, recording or broadcast mixing console. The USB-Pro automatically configures itself for use with all popular operating systems including Mac OSX, Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7, thus eliminating the need to load special drivers. Unlike devices that are limited with 16 bit, 44.1kHz conversion rates, the USB-Pro elevates the performance with true 24 bit, 96kHz stereo converters to deliver more headroom and greater detail. This eliminates the need for additional sound cards or separate converters when transferring files, further streamlining production in busy work environments. Connection from the laptop is done via the ‘pro-audio standard ‘ USB type-B port. Digital-to-analog conversion is monitored with the built-in headphone amplifier to ensure the signal is being properly downloaded and converted. A mono-sum switch may be engaged to check for phasing or facilitate signal distribution to two outputs should this be preferred. One simply sets the output volume control to suit. Should hum or buzz caused by ground loops be encountered, two ‘set & forget’ side-access switches let you insert isolation transformers into the signal path to block stray DC voltage offsets. To further reduce susceptibility to noise, this is augmented with a ground lift switch that lifts pin-1 on the two XLRs. As with all Radial products, the USB-Pro is designed to handle the rigors of professional touring. The unique book-end design creates protective zones around the switches, connectors and controls to keep them out of harm’s way. Inside, Radial’s time-tested I-beam construction assures the sensitive internal PC board will not torque which could otherwise cause premature part failure. Finally, a full bottom no-slip pad provides mechanical isolation and electrical insula…

Rugged dependable audio interfaceI run live sound and needed a dependable DI I could use for background music. This box does the trick. I own multiple Radial Engineering products. They are extremely sturdy and reliable. I would highly recommend this if you want to run stereo tracks from your laptop or tablet.

  2. Gaspare

Outstanding!I use this product live on stage in a working band. Very simple to connect. Use can use in stereo and mono situations. Ground lift is great feature. I love the gain knob. Once set, it doesn’t move and spin around so you have to check where the knob is every gig. (but I still do..lol) Not much more to say except buy it!

  3. God’s servant

Easy to use and great soundSound is much better than coming out of the audio output on the motherboard, took a little fiddling to get the levels set right, it shows up as a sound output in Windows, so have to set volume on computer, set level on the DI, and the gain on the board. Radial products are an easy, great sounding, long lasting answer to connecting sound sources in our church.

Audio Interface Built Like A TankGreat option for keyboardists who play live with softsynths through an iPad or Mainstage/Ableton Live through a laptop. Super build and sound quality. Great alternative to the Radial Key Largo if you don’t have to mix other gear.

  5. Raijin

Works great on macOS MojaveSuper easy macOS setup: Find a USB cable (it’s not included) and plug it in. This is USB powered so no additional power is needed. Open up “System Preferences” then click on “Sound”. Under “Select a device for sound output:” select “Radial USB Pro Output” and that’s it. There are no drivers to install. Sounds great. There’s plenty of gain even for the most stubborn headphones.

Radial USB-Pro is the best way to get from a computer to a mixer or DAWThe Radial USB-Pro Stereo USB laptop DI box works great. I use it to run .wav files from a laptop through my tube compressor into my DAW with zero quality loss. (unlike using the high impedance out of a headphone jack which is a very noticeable loss in dynamic range and overall sound.) The beautiful part of the process is the drivers seem to be included in this device and when I plugged it in to my Windows 7 64bit laptop the device just worked. I am very happy with Radial products and have a handful of their di boxes. I will continue to use their products as they are solid, transparent and reliable.

Nice Product!!!NiceProduct!!!, sturdy compact design, good for traveling but a little heavy, easy to use with any computer (Windows or Mac), a great solution in some professional playbacks situations, I loved it!The reason I gave it 4 stars is because I do not understand that you pay $229.99 for an USB product and it does not come with an USB cable, so it is a plug and play device… but not right out of the box.

  8. DEAN

Great small interfaceUsed with Apple laptop for a gig. Worked perfectly. Be warned it makes loud transient pops if it powered up/down/knocked loose while connected to PA or sound system.

  9. lakedweller

Works Perfect! This was awesome! Took all the noise out of the signal and was super easy to use. Mac recognizes it right away as well! Radial makes awesome products!

  10. Marale

Worked flawlessly with great soundUsed the USB direct box as an interface between a computer (running Ableton with a Push 2) to my mixer. Worked flawlessly and the sound was outstanding.
