better then my hd60sjust glad it doesnt mess with cec controls and is a little harded to screen share with apps like discord but other then that works and looks good

  2. kane chmiel

Does everything it says and its the cheapest on the market that doesBest and cheapest way to be able to get 120 fps pass through on a ps5 or Xbox series x

Supports UltraWideNobody had a solid answer of if the HD60 supported UltraWide formats so I bought it & confirmed it does. I only need to record 1080 so pass through was more of a bigger deal to me. Xbox Series X, 1440p, 60hz & 3440×1440. I’ll test the rest later, so my score my go down.Edit: Started as a 5 star but I had to knock it down to a 3 due to the lack of an audio out on the card. It’s been a pain to find a work around.

Awesome for capturing *most* content on PS5/Xbox Series S/XIt’s been fun using this to capture gameplay on my PS5, it’s good for capturing the standard 4k/30 quality modes and the 60fps performance modes. Consoles now have at least have those two options in most 3D games, but there has also been in a rise in support for VRR and 120Hz output (@2160p), which is thanks to the HDMI 2.1 spec. Unfortunately, this is an HDMI 2.0 capture card and so are all the other ones on the market (afaik). This isn’t really that big of a deal, but I did want to mention that there will be a slight disconnect between the features of the Xbox Series X and the PS5 compared to what this can capture. It might be possible to mitigate this if you use a 1440p output on the console, as this card is able to capture a much higher frame rate at that resolution. Most games are using a dynamic resolution anyway, and for the 60fps modes, they are definitely not natively rendering the games at 2160p, but they do use temporal antialiasing to reconstruct the image to appear as a native 4k.This uses the NZXT Cam software, and it will give you real-time info about what resolution and refresh rate the card is currently capturing. It’s not necessary to use this software at all, but it does allow for firmware updates and should be used sometimes, for that reason, if no other. The gameplay footage that I got out of this card looked amazing and there was really no lag at all on the TV/monitor that I was using to play the game. If your computer is powerful enough, you could probably play the game, itself, using the OBS preview. I would also like to mention that I only used this for capturing gameplay, I did not play around with streaming any games, I’m not a content creator, so I honestly didn’t have a way to test for that. I imagine that it would work fine, though.

Does a great job at an affordable price.NZXT Signal 4K30 Full HD USB Capture Card – ST-SESC1-WW – 4K60 HDR and 240Hz at Full HD (1080p) – Live Streaming and Gaming – Zero-Lag Passthrough – Open CompatibilitySuper simple plug and play. Plug in your console, plug in your monitor, Plug in the USBc to your PC. It works with OBS or whatever streaming service you choose. the NZXT 4K30 HDMI 2.0 passthrough at 4k/60fps, 1440p/165fps, or 1080p/240fps can record up to HDMI 1.4b at 1080p/120fps or 4k/30fps. The CAM software is pretty weak and does not allow for any adjustments. That being said for a simple streaming solution this is a solid choice.

A Simple and To the Point Capture CardThis is an exceptional capture card at a fair price. As a streamer and content creator myself, I am always looking for the best in terms of equipment that I think can improve the content I make. For years I have been using tried and true Elgato brand capture cards, as they have yet to fail me. I sold my Elgato a few months ago to help fund parts of my house move, and I was disappointed in myself for doing so. I then saw this to try, and I figured I would try it out and see if it had a chance to take down Elgato. Spoiler: It’s does….. have a chance.Truthfully, I was a bit disappointed that NZXT has no 4K60 capture card option, when Elgato and AverMedia already have ones that support that resolution and frame rate. However, most people still post videos and stream in 1080p so it isn’t the biggest issue in the world. Same with HDR, most people still don’t make content in HDR, so the lack of HDR on this model is not an issue to me.It does, however, still have full 4K60 passthrough, so you can still play in the best quality possible while outputting in 1080p resolution. The included USB-C cable is also much appreciated compared to the MiniUSB and MicroUSB connections on other older capture cards. From an ease of use standpoint, there is no playing around. Just plug in one HDMI from your console (or 2nd PC) into the HDMI in on the card, plug in another from the HDMI out on the card to your monitor or TV, then plug in the USB cable to your card and PC, install OBS or whatever your favorite capture software is, and you are good to go. I use OBS for my recordings and streams, which is quite easy to setup. You just go to add source, add video capture device, then choose the NZXT Signal from the drop down menu. There is no other required software to install in order to use it, but you can install NZXT Cam to get HDMI readout info on the Capture tab to help you more accurately setup your capture settings, if you want.Picture quality wise, it works. This isn’t no 4K or 8K quality but that’s not what we are here to test. For 1080p this hands down beats the Elgato HD 60/s models as it is easier to use and setup, and comes in at a similar price (though you can get those Elgatos at a discount all the time). The picture is clear, and is sharp. The only issue I have, but it could be an issue on my end, is that there is an occasional stutter as it’s capturing, but not enough to be distracting or ruin footage. In the end, this is a clear winner. I tested it in a couple recordings and streams, and I included a couple screenshots from my recorded footage so you guys can check it out. For the price and for what you get, this is a very compelling capture card that may prove difficult for others to compete with. I just wish that their 4K30 model and this model where the same instead of having two separate buying options. I think that would confuse less people and it would offer everything anybody could need (besides 4K60) in one card. I definitely recommend this if you are looking for a solid capture card BUT I would still buy one of the other Elgato products IF you can get them at a lower price. Thanks for reading and I hope this review has been insightful.

I so wanted this to workIt was sporadic in showing signal from Canon R7 and it wouldn’t work with the Canon XA55 at all. I returned and purchased the Cam Link.

Easy to set up, great picture quality.I really like how easy it was to get started with this NZXT video capture card. I know that NZXT is a great brand for PC cases, and so I expected their peripherals to be just as good, and I wasn’t disappointed.Note that this device doesn’t include any sort of software for your PC/Mac/Linux machine that would allow you to see what the capture card is outputting over USB. No worries, there are some great apps out there, including OBS which is open-source and free so you aren’t going to be stuck. I downloaded OBS but never got as far as installing it because I learned that I already had another app on my laptop that could display what the capture card was sending to my PC. Your PC considers this device a type of camera so literally if you open up something that understands webcams, you are going to probably see the NZXT capture card in the list and can quickly look at its output that way.I got this video capture card to help me configure streaming devices without having to hook those devices into a television to work on them. I plug this NZXT capture card into a high-speed USB port on my PC and then put the HDMI cable from the set top box or streaming device into the capture card and I’m good to go. This saves me tons of time. I sure hope this thing lasts a long time because I’m going to put it to a lot of use. The next thing I’m going to do is hook it up to an analog TV video converter (it converts the output to HDMI) that is connected to an old VCR so that I can convert all my old family videos that are on VHS to MP4 videos without having to involve a TV or receiver to convert the signal from the old school VHS to digital. I should be able to connect the analog video converter to the output of the VCR, and plug the converter’s HDMI-OUT straight into this video capture device, and then use an app on my PC to record what is playing on the VCR. A+

Captures video pretty well, great for gaming, easy to useThis is a pretty well made and strong capture card. The next thing is that this device does tend to run pretty warm as well so when you have it plugged in and recording make sure you have it in a well aired area so you do not cause any heat damage the the capture card. The capture card does a good job capturing all the video footage I need from my playstation five games that I have been playing and it will also work with any video game system that has an HDMI output. It also works great to use for my discord streaming. You can use them to record retro games however you will need an adapter to convert the video into HDMI output. There is no component and composite output on this device. It also is a great way to alleviate some of the strain on your computer while also giving you a clearer picture. The picture quality is really strong. The setup is very easy and if you are running on windows 10 the drivers are automatically detected so you do not have to worry about needing to install any drivers. I have not tried this with windows 7 or 8 so I am unsure if it will automatically detect or if you need to manually install the driver. This will definitely not work with windows vista or xp. I did try it on Mac and it works pretty well. This device does support 4k video so if you are uploading from a Playstation four, you will definitely get the best quality video. It does utilize usb plug which is provided so you are able to transfer the video at a faster rate. There are also light indicators to show if the device is on, recording, or transferring. The device is pretty compact so it is easy to find space for it on your desk or at your console area. Be aware that the cable that is provided is not exactly long so you may need to get another cable that is longer if you need to run it a bit further away. It does provide a hdmi cable and both cables are pretty cheap so do not expect the best material cables but they do work. Overall this is a great capture device to have for recording or streaming all your gaming needs.
