Description
The Monolith Speaker Stand is an ideal pedestal for your home theater speakers in your entertainment system. Sturdy steel columns provide incredible strength and rigidity to support up to 75 lbs. The Monolith Speaker stand is the perfect way to display your speakers! It comes in singles, not pairs, so if you need 3, 5, or 7 you will not be stuck with a leftover stand.
Sturdy Construction: Four steel support columns feature a scratch-resistant black powder coat finish. The result is a rigid platform outfitted with a satin finish that cleans easily and resists scratches and scuffs. Each stand is 24 inches tall and is acoustically inert. Four soft rubberized top pads are supplied to protect your speaker from scratches and to further isolate your speaker from unwanted acoustic vibrations.
Rectangular Columns: All four support piers can be filled with sand or steel shot for the ultimate in vibration dampening. This will further reduce any unwanted vibrations or resonances that can color the sound and reduce fidelity.
Adjustable Spikes: Each stand comes with adjustable spikes to pierce through your carpet and isolate the stand and your speaker from floor vibrations and resonances.

Much heavier and sturdier than I imagined for this price, but my joy was tempered a little by rather significant damage sustained in transit. Specifically, two of the legs were severely dented at the base, causing paint loss and some rusting too. I was still able to assemble the unit and the end outcome was stable, so that’s all that matters.

Package arrived ahead of schedule, well packed. Concise, clear instructions for installation included. All items received as stated. Minor damage observed at one of the “legs” , doesn’t look critical although have written to Monoprice for feedback.

Product is exactly as described. Was delivered quickly and putting it together was a breeze. Would definitely get these again, but they’re built to last so I guess I won’t have to.

So Easy – So Sturdy!
As the title suggests, these are so easy to put together, and they are super sturdy. I have heard that people fill them with sand or kitty litter, but I don’t even think that’s necessary they are NICE!

Desent speaker stands for the price.
I bought a pair of those stands for surround speakers. For this price I wasn’t expecting something special. And those are mostly meeting my expectations.Pros:* Fairly easy to assemble.* Heavy enough to be stable.* Can be filled with sand for extra weight and stability.Cons:* Both arrived with “columns” covered with rust dust of the same stripes pattern.* The spikes are kinda wobbly.* There were no spikes pads included – hence one star on “For hardwood floors”

Fantastic stands at a fantastic price.
I see a few 1 star reviews regarding the rust on the inside, thank you whiners for returning them! I was able to get a pair of the 24″ stands at a great discount from the warehouse deals, presumably these were returns due to the rust issue. The insides of the pillars are raw metal, so there is a little surface rust. The “rust” on the outside is just dust and wipes off easily with a damp cloth. As for the rust on the inside, who the f*** cares, once assembled you cant see it. I suppose in 50 years or so the rust may work its way through to the outside. Just a bunch of people who cant see the forrest for the trees. What you get is a very solid and sturdy stand that looks great at a fraction of the cost of a comparable stands. I also have the 28″ version of the stands, all 3/4 filled with sand that makes them very stable and eliminates any resonance. Use a little caulk inside the bottom of the posts before assembly to close over the gaps to prevent fine dust from the sand working its way out the bottom. Tape around the outside of the post to prevent getting any caulk getting on the visible surface if your a little messy like me. Then make a cone out of paper or thin cardboard to pour the sand in as the gap is quite small.I did deduct 1 star for the rust as the interior should be painted, a batch of these stands must have been exposed to high humidity. However this does not affect the functionality or appearance once assembled.

Only carpet spikes are included, as if these stands were not marketed for hard floors.
Almost 5 stars! The steel is heavy and solid. I filled mine with sand, which was a little time consuming, but worth it. The stands went together easily. My only gripe was the fact that they only include carpet spikes for the base, as if the stands are not intended for hard floors. So… I endeavored to find some adjustable furniture feet with M8 threads. Home Depot, Lowe’s and local hardware stores had nothing in that size, and few options otherwise. I called the manufacturer, Monoprice to ask if they had recommendations, thinking they must have calls for this regularly since they don’t include them in the purchase. The Customer Service guy claims he’s never had that request before. I eventually had to order some from Amazon. Bottom line is that I couldn’t set up my new speakers for more than a week due to this. Certainly not a huge hardship, but it seems that Monoprice would want to make this process more friendly for people who don’t have carpeted floors.

Top Quality Speaker Stands
Bought it mainly because of the reviews. Very easy to install, had to wipe off some rust dust, but don’t worry , it’s just a little dust that a damp paper towel gets rid of. Assembly is relatively easy. Very solid and well finished product. I didn’t use carpet spikes as they are way too long. Each stand is 21 lbs. so Very sturdy. I used some sorbathane between my speakers (Monitor Audio, Studios) and the stand. My Speakers look so Cool on these Awesome looking stands. I bought the 28″ ‘s, the tweeter lines up better with my ears. Sounds fantastic, no Metallic ringing, and I didn’t fill them with anything. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Did I say they look Very Cool!

Can hold a lot of weight
Very sturdy. No problem holding my KEF LS WirelessII. Easy to assemble. I wish they came with pads to place under the spikes (for hardwood floors). And it would be nice of one of the rear posts had access to run the cables from the speakers.
