Description
The New TS-X1440 14x magnification binocular offers a remarkable vibration correction angle of ±6° and outstanding optical performance. Its bright, clear, and stabilized view makes it a perfect choice for wildlife observation and astronomical use. In addition to wildlife and astronomical observation, these binoculars are great for use in a variety of applications, including spectator sports and live music events. Fujifilm uses its outstanding optical and mechanical design technologies to develop high-performance and high-quality products, including large binoculars that contributed to the discovery of the Comet Hyakutake, as well as compact binoculars for day-to-day casual use. With an effective luminous flex diameter of 40mm for objects closest to the lens, the TS-X 1440 achieves an advanced level of light-gathering power. Fujifilm’s unique EBC Multi-Coating is applied to control flare, ghosting, and chromatic aberration while enhancing light transmittance to provide a bright, clear view. The stylish, easy-to-hold design is combined with moisture-resistant construction, making the TS-X 1440 easy to use and highly reliable. Slip-resistant rubber coats the entire body so that users can enjoy a firm grip with both hands. These binoculars offer great operability due to the optimized positioning of diopter rings and On/Off switches for power and image stabilization.

Amazing optics and ISAs others have mentioned, 14x40s with image stabilization are gonna be heavy. And, at 3+ pounds with batteries installed, these are, as expected, heavy. The neck strap included is too narrow for these heavy beasts – I replaced the neck strap with a 2-inch-wide soft camera strap. Now some good news…AWESOME..Big time WOW factor with the 14x magnification plus clear optics plus image stabilization. Just AWESOME.First time I used these we encountered a pod of orcas. Right then the high price of these binocs paid off.Why in the world is there a power on/off button AND a stabilize on/off button? The only purpose of the power is to stabilize. So why are there two buttons?I love the fact that the image stabilizing is a button that is pressed and is on with no further pressure. My Canon 10×30 IS (great IS binocs) require holding the button down which creates shake. These Fujinons have an ON setting that does not require holding an ON button. The power automatically shuts off if the binocs are not being used.I do not like the eye piece lens cover, but it seems that all of the binoc manufacturers are going with the strap-connected dual cover. The objective lens cover is OK but not leashed to the binocs. However, the objective lenses are threaded for camera lens filters at 48mm. I added 48 to 49mm step-up threads and 49mm polarized filters and 49mm camera lens caps with leashes. The polarized filters are a great addition. The “height” of the eyepieces can be adjusted. Twisting each eyepiece moves the eyepiece in/out to set the distance from your eyes and compensate for wearing glasses. The diopter eyepiece focus adjustment and eye width adjustment are very stiff. This is good for me since I am the only one using these binocs and I don’t change the diopter focus and eye width. If these binocs are shared with other users, changing the stiff adjustments often might be cumbersome. Maybe with time these adjustments will become looser and easier to change. The overall focus adjustment is coarse. In other words, a slight rotation of the focus knob results in a large change in focus. Getting the focus just right is still do-able.These binocs are large. There are very few binoc chest packs that will accomodate these big binocs. The few chest packs that will work are huge. To my delight, these binocs fit snuggly in my Allen Binocular Chest Pouch.

great item – poor packagingThese guys aren’t light… I knew that going in. Ergonomically, there is a little shifting of the hands to touch buttons and functions of the binoculars aren’t really spelled out in the owner’s manual…that being said, these things are awesome! I have yet to use them in a practical sense, i.e. on the boat, but standing around and spying on my neighbors was awesome, creepy? for sure… but cool nonetheless.Came in on time and as promise. No issue there. My issue – 1 star for the packaging. I ordered some sizing adapters along with my TSX 1440s, they are in a soft plastic packaging and they threw them all in with my $1,500 binoculars and a small air bubble pad that didn’t even keep any product secure. Maybe I’m just complaining, since the adapters seemed to be okay. One was a little tight and might have been off round, but I made it work. Good thing I splurged and got the protection plan. I will be wary in the future about purchasing an item that may be fragile and suspect to shipping.C’mon amazon…

Mind boggling!A few things about me my friends call me shaking again because I got a shake in my left hand from nerve damage. When looking through without stabilization turned on they bounce around. Check on that stabilization button no shakes absolutely perfect I’m seeing birds in detail like they’re three feet away I’m watching deer at about 200 yards. I normally wear cheap readers reading glasses about 150 x, but no glasses are required if you have s***** vision you get the lens close to you and I have not experienced any so-called melting..yet. that would be a small price to pay for owning these I recommend them highly

impressive piece of kit but perfect for some applications onlyFujinon TSX1440 is an impressive piece of kit. Image is very sharp, edge to edge. Field of view is quite wide. I can instantly find the right position for my eyes to see a clear picture without any vignetting; this is in stark contrast to their smaller brother Fujinon 16×28, which I just couldn’t use because it is taking me forever to position binoculars to see a clear image. So even without image stabilization, these binoculars are great for 40 mm objective lenses.Image stabilization is unbelievable. When standing on the ground image becomes still. It is especially apparent when looking at far away objects, e.g. the jet plane is the sky. There is no delay in stabilization when panning. I didn’t have a chance to try them on water, but with 6 degrees of compensation they should work like magic. Ergonomically, the focus ring is at your pointing finger, where it feels natural to operate. It is hard to adjust distance between eye cups, but this is expected from all IS binoculars as prisms on both sides have to be physically connected. Finally, build quality it top notch. Rubberized coating makes them grippy. Plus they are supposed to be waterproof. Now, the bad part is the size and weight. These are very heavy making them only suitable for a few applications like boating, kayaking, spying on someone from a car, basically any application where you don’t have to carry this weight with you. I can’t see anyone taking them on a hike or bird-watching. But they were not built for such purposes. Overall, these are amazing binoculars for some applications with impeccable optics. Too heavy for others.P.S. My points of reference are Nikon Monarch 7 10×42 and Kowa spotting scope with fluorite crystal.

Great when they workThese worked great until the first set of batteries went dead. I replaced the AAA batteries and could not get the stabilization to work. I changed with another set of batteries just in case there was something wrong with the first set and got the same result. The binoculars power up, but as soon as I press the stabilization the gyro does not turn on and I get a alternating set of flashing lights that seem to be a warning of some sort. I called Fuji directly for support and they said return for fix or replacement. Hopefully it’s quick.

For serious nature watchers/huntersa world of difference. I should have had these years ago. A worthwhile investment

Fantastic stabilized imageFor anyone without very steady hands, using high-powered binoculars is problematic. The image stabilization on the Fujinon 14×40 TSX1440 holds the image completely still, allowing the appreciation of fine details of the moon, birds, etc. The best example of the improvement provided is the ability to read relatively small writing on a sign hundreds of feet away. The extent of the stabilization is amazing and works very smoothly while tracking objects in motion. The range of settings for pupil distance and diopters are wide, allowing someone with narrow eye spacing or very poor eyesight to use the binoculars without glasses. The only criticism I have is that the focus gearing is a bit too fast, making it slightly more difficult than it should be to attain perfect focus.

Image Stabalization stopped working mid way through first trip.First off, these binoculars are very impressive… when they worked. About 3 hours into my fishing trip the LED lights started alternately blinking. I turned product off and replaced batteries when I got home after reading the owner’s manual. Lights were still blinking. I’m submitting for a refund and I was hoping that I just got a lemon. I definitely want to buy it again or just get it replaced out right. I just received the item a week ago and somehow how the price jumped up. I’m looking to see if the company or Amazon can honor my original purchase price because I definitely want to give these binoculars another shot.

Best value IMHO for boatsI bought the earlier model two years ago for boating. Functioned very well but ergonomics were less than desirable. Awkward to hold. Batteries difficult to load. This new model addresses that and other shortcomings. Smaller, easier to hold, better button positions and the battery compartment is much better. You can spend way, way more on a set but these are high quality at a fair price.

Great for Ocean FishingThis item was purchased after much review into similar products and speaking with fishermen friends. These are affordable and definitely a game-changer for your offshore tuna fishing! If you want to hone in on the fish boils and increase your catch these are the sea – binos for you. I personally would like to be a bit lighter, but that is just my opinion. #fishing #tunafishing #fishinggear #stabilizing
