Overheats And Works Hit Or MissI was really excited about this camera. I researched cameras for over 6 months before finally making this purchase. I’m not going to lie, it was what I could afford but, I had been shooting in HD in my studio and wanted to make the jump to 4K and this seemed like the right time for the right price. Unfortunately, this was not the camera to do it with. First thing I noticed was how hot the body got…I mean HOT! I don’t know if this is what caused the camera to begin working on a hit or miss basis or not. When I say “hit or miss” I mean, you can go in and fire everything up in the studio and you may have a camera to work with or you may go in and fire everything up and vMix as well as OBS will not be able to find it as an input. Keep in mind, no cords have been moved and NOTHING has changed from one use to the other (other than unplugging the camera’s power supply so it doesn’t get any hotter and catch the studio on fire). When it works, the camera is outstanding and I’d give it a 5-star review for picture, etc. But, the fact of it’s hit or miss on use has caused me to go back to my old camera…at least I know it will work when I’m ready to. Unfortunately, I kept giving the camera chance after chance to see if it was just “one of those things” and my window to return it has closed. :-(I hope others find this review helpful before making a decision to purchase.
