Android 4.0 based in 2021??? WTH???I purchased this for the screen size and wifi capabilities, but it’s basically a 19″ 16.9 “smart” monitor running Android 4.0 as the backbone with a tacked on app to do basic picture previews, to use the remote I have to point it at the ceiling and watch the cursor on screen, the IOS and Android app is mediocre as it jumbles your photo folders on your device so if your trying to hunt down your recent pictures your going to have to go on a scavenger hunt to find them – and once you do you can only upload 9 photos at a time which once your finished uploading them you have to go scavenger hunting again for the next batch of 9 photos you want to upload!With other digital picture frames and their associated apps I’ve used you can at least do a little editing to make sure your pictures look decent on the frame such as zoom in frosting the sides when the picture is in landscape (not sure of the term for this but hopefully you get the idea), with this one? Nope! You get basic black borders or android 4.0 type features like slow zoom into the photo which ends up zooming in to the center of the photo ending up with a frame full of people’s crotch’es or chest especially if you take lots of portrait photos.As for the camera to use for video chatting with family? This is based off of Android 4.0 so your not going to be able to use zoom, whatsapp, Google duo etc., and signing into the playstore to try to download those apps? I wouldn’t dare enter my Google credentials into this frame to try!Ten years ago this would be leading technology but as of 2021 this is just a decent 19″ monitor to show some pictures on at average at best quality. The idea of having a large digital frame to upload pictures to is nice but this one? NO! Unless they upgrade the mobile app and the frames android OS to at least android 8 (which is still four versions behind the current 2021 Android 12) it’s not worth your while, just get a Raspberry Pi and a similar sized monitor to dedicate as a picture frame and you can do way better for way less than $220.

Beautiful picture displayer!This screen displays very clear pictures in a jpeg format. Has a senser remote that comes along with it. I found it difficult that it only has one slot for the USB and since the mouse uses the slot – I couldn’t put in a usb. In general it is an excellent buy!

CANNOT RECOMMENDI bought this frame because of its display size (19 inch), cost and that it could be HUNG on wall. The picture was excellent. I really did not want the wifi/cloud feature (trust issues) but could live with that. The killer was the remote would wander all over the place, even when it was recalibrated and WOULD NOT TURN THE FRAME ON. I was left with disconnecting and then reconnecting the power cord to get it to turn on. Very unsatisfactory when the frame was to be mounted on wall. I contacted Sungale tech support via email. Their response was overnight, not bad I think. What they told me is THEY KNEW OF THE REMOTE’S FAILURE (reported in another’s review in June 2018) and they would keep me posted on a solution. I waited several weeks then sent it back for a refund. I only gave it two stars because of the excellent picture quality and size of display. Otherwise I would have given it one star.

Great frame with a few problemsThis photo frame is great. It is more than a picture frame. I got Hulu, Netflix and Prime movies to play on this photo frame. The Hulu app seems to play tv shows on Hulu better on this frame. My frame will not work with newer update for the Netflix app. Sometime it disconnects from the internet and you have to reconnect it. Sometimes it will say download fail when you want try to use the app to add photos to the frame. Others it is a cool photo frame.

on/off feature does not work with remote.Nice picture, somewhat easy setup. Only 4 transition choices for photos. Power on/off feature did not work with remote. Was told this was just a bug, but could not give a time frame for a fix. Customer service answered my calls and questions and returned calls. Was told I could use the power button on the back (not accessible if frame is hanging on wall) or unplug unit and plug it back in. Returned the unit for a refund and bought a different brand of frame.

Works great!I purchased this to use at tradeshows to showcase company pictures. I even use a Powerpoint with it (I had to turn the .ppt into a .jpg to make it work) and it works great! I would recommend this product. I even won a frame for it and am exicted to get it!

Too complicated to be practical – cheap remote pointer that hardly worksI have been trying to load pictures on this frame for a few days & now I give up – going to return this frame. Too many missing links – even trying to load pictures from SD card is problematic – could never get it to slide show mode. Always had to go to the cloud and could never get it to load pictures on the frame. I got picture in the cloud but could not get them to the frame even though frame was “online”. The remote “wand” is a joke – you must control its wandering eye all over the frame and hope for the best. A simple wireless mouse would have been better. Instructions suck.

Quality digital photo frame.So far everything has been real good, excellent quality, sharp picture. Customer support is real helpful as I am not really the most knowledgeable when it comes to all this cloud stuff.

Terrible directions and support!Could not get product completely registered since I was supposed to receive a code from sungale and requested 5 times and it was never received! Also could not download photos! Could access google photos but not transfer to frame or have them slideshow!!!! UPDATE – spoke with customer service. They told me they registered product for me. Got back home and product still showing not registered and won’t register and won’t connect to WiFi or blue tooth. Complete waste of money, worthless frame taking space on my shelf with no way to download pictures. Sungale website no help at all!!!!
