Farnborough International Names BCD Meetings & Events as Recommended Accommodation Partner

Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre has designated BCD Meetings & Events (BCD M&E) as its Recommended Accommodation Provider, formalising and expanding an established working relationship between the two organisations.

Under the new arrangement, BCD M&E will provide dedicated accommodation management services for exhibitors, organisers, and visitors attending events at the Hampshire venue. The company, which operates globally in the meetings and events sector, will support Farnborough International by sourcing, negotiating, and managing hotel allocations tailored to the scale and requirements of major exhibitions and conferences.

The appointment is intended to streamline the lodging experience for event stakeholders, particularly for large and complex shows that require extensive room blocks across multiple properties. By centralising accommodation services with a single specialist provider, Farnborough International aims to improve consistency in service levels, pricing transparency, and logistical coordination for participants.

BCD M&E’s role will include handling group bookings, managing room inventories during peak periods, and coordinating with local and regional hotel partners. The collaboration is expected to enhance the overall event experience by simplifying the booking process and offering attendees a curated range of accommodation options at negotiated rates.

Both organisations view the strengthened partnership as a way to support Farnborough International’s growth as a hub for trade shows, conferences, and large-scale live events. With increasing competition in the venue market, the ability to offer reliable, professionally managed accommodation solutions is seen as an important factor in attracting international organisers and high-volume events.

## Why This Matters

For event organisers, integrated accommodation support can significantly reduce operational complexity, especially when managing thousands of delegates across multiple hotels. A single, experienced provider helps minimise booking risks, last-minute changes, and availability issues during peak event periods.

Exhibitors and visitors benefit from a more predictable and user-friendly booking experience, with access to vetted properties and negotiated rates aligned with event schedules and logistics. This can positively impact attendance, dwell time, and overall satisfaction.

For the wider event technology and infrastructure ecosystem, the partnership underscores a broader trend: venues are increasingly bundling specialist services—such as accommodation, transport, and digital registration—into their core offering. This integrated approach supports more scalable, data-driven event operations and can influence how event technology solutions are selected and implemented to support the full attendee journey.
