Solid lav mic kit for non-pro users.
A set of 2 lav microphones with enough foam and dead cats for windy days. An extra TRRS – TRS adapter would have been much appreciated (two of almost everything else – but still need to buy 1 one more adaptor for 2nd mic). The extra metal clips, which are a wear item, are a bonus.

Although the quality is quite good when used in conjunction with a smart phone. Using the TRS connector with a DSLR directly it’s very poor indeed. You will need to record the audio separately and sync up in post for vlogging with a mirrorless or DSLR etc. you will also have to do a lot of post production sound work to get it near the level needed for YouTube etc.Sadly, although advertised as universal, the Mike IS NOT compatible with the Tascam DR60 mkii. If you have bought it for use with this recorder? Avoid as it doesn’t work.Better still, save your money and buy a RODE wired lav, they aren’t too much more expensive and absolutely low this out of the water. Of the wired lav mic is Man City??? This purple panda lav is certainly Sunday leave at best.Tff he at being said if you just want a slight improvement on you smartphone mic for video calling/teams etc…. This is a slight improvement.Hope this helps.

Work great, very affordable, lots of Accessories
I’m newer to recording video, but these have a good quality sound, and they’re easy to setup. I love the accessories in the package, two microphones, two extension cords, adapters for DSLR input or phone, so helpful! I have needed all of them already.

Does not work with my Rode wireless go 2
Package did not seem to be damaged, however mic does not work on my Rode wireless 2, customer service was awesome and issued full refund.

Best cheap mic
I tried the POP mic, another cheap lav mic that’s recommended online. The POP mic was Worse than my phone. The Purple Panda is an Amazing value. 2 pretty decent lav mics that work great on my iPhone. You’ll get better sound quality than the built in phone mic and for most people, that’s all we need.

Can’t be beaten for the price
These are decent mics and come with all the accessories you’ll need. These are primarily geared toward people who will mostly be plugging them into phones and tablets. The mic plugs have 3 rings, which are designed to work most mobile devices. In order to plug them into mic inputs on cameras, you have to use the included adapters that convert them into 2 ring plugs. If you don’t use the adapters, they will not function on standard mic inputs. Over all, for the price and included accessories, these can be beat.
