    Great Stereo System
This book shelf stereo system looks good and is very good quality, and has great sound. It does alot for it’s compact size.It is easy to set up and use.I mostly use the CD player.* There is one thing that I wish that it had, and that is a hook up for an external FM antenna for trying to find FM radio stations. But over all, it is a great little stereo system and I am glad that I purchased it.I compared it to many other small sized stereo systems, and I believe that this was the best choice for me.I would recommend this stereo to anyone looking for a book shelf stereo system.Thank you Phillips.

Mine took a few CD plays to ‘break it in’
Definitely a good value for the money. The CD drive at first made a constant repetitive ‘ticking’ sound, which I could hear above the music when it was at a reasonable volume. That bothered me a lot, initially. I decided to play it a few more days to see what happens, and I’m pleased to report that the ‘ticking’ sound subsequently went away. The radio is nice. I’ve not tried the Bluetooth or USB. There’s a clock mode, but it goes away quickly and I don’t see a way to keep it on if I wanted. I bought it to replace a Sony bookshelf unit that I had for 20+ years, which is pretty good in consumer electronics years. It had clock-radio functionality, but I don’t see anything decent out there now that has clock radio, so I went with this Philips. I like it now.

    Good value
Bluetooth works great. Speakers are wired and wires are not very long. I did add more wire

  4. SOu

For the $$ a good system
Sounds pretty good, nice bass, but not super deep. Not as loud as you may expect for 60 watts, but it’s enough for a medium size room. No distortion at max volume.CD, USB, Bluetooth work flawless. Has a few preset eq settings via remote. No CD eject on remote. Speakers wires are permanent at speaker. Max speaker separation is a comfortable 4′ centerline speaker to centerline tuner/amp.

    Excelente Producto
Excelente calidad y sonido, ligero no ocupa mucho espacio. Super recomendable para personas que aún escuchan radio, CD’s, y cuenta con bluetooth y entrada para audio. Llegó antes de lo esperando.

Great Quality Stereo at an Affordable Price
This item came well packed, was easy to put together, easy to use, gets wonderful radio reception, and the speakers sound great. Very impressed for this great quality stereo at an affordable price.

Still learning to use it …
The sound quality is good, but not great as the tweeter rolls off quickly. (I really shouldn’t compare this to my Martin-Logan speakers at home.) However, for the price paid, call me a satisfied customer. I purchased it mainly to use USB sticks containing MP3 files and occasionally for CDs. My main issue is that it always starts from the first song on a USB stick (with 150 songs). And, if I pause for any length of time, it goes back to the first song. I just read the manual (off the web) and found I can create folders on the USB stick by artist and use the up/down button to switch folders. Okay, that’s acceptable to me. The remote works fine but the range is somewhat limited … I sit 16ft from the unit and I often have to get within 10ft before the remote works reliably. All told, I’d probably buy the lower powered version and save a few dollars if I had to do it again. Bottom line; call me satisfied.

Compact but puts out great.Just right for my garage. Excellent buy.

    dads happy
works well, hard to find these that arn’t Bluetooth

  10. JJ

Great sound; remote is awkward (and good luck if you lose it!); front volume dial doesn’t work
Excellent sound for smaller environments; remote is awkward (and good luck if you lose it!); front volume dial doesn’t work. If you need to find a replacement remote – do not do what I did and try calling Philips. An hour later and no one there can find a replacement remote part number for this unit…
