THought it was going to be trouble…From reading all the bad reviews i thought i was going to have trouble getting the base station to work. Set up account all was good. Yes there is an option to opt out of the premier features before you get charged under the account -> services menu , will see if this works when trial ends. do IT BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE. you can always sign up for it later it seems.I have it plugged in to my main router. then i set an ip reservation for it (will set a static one later in hub/base as well. Now the problems and why 4 stars right now.mine was flashing red then rebooting and occasionally showing online through the ooma web portal.I started to ping it (this is why i set a reservation in my router) and noticed it would stop replying then reply again. this looked like it was rebooting. So i tried to connect to the built in web UI at ip address 172.27.35.1 through the home port. when i was able to connect at breif moments it looked like it was working on connecting. Then i set the IP as DMZ thinking it was blocking a port or download ( yes this was not safe because it bypasses the router firewall). NO JOYHere was the REAL fix and it is SOOO silly. There is a “page” button on the back next to the phone port. I tried pressing it with no movement. SO Voiding my warrenty I’m sure I opened the Hub/Base. removed the board hooked up the power and internet AND BOOM IT NOW WORKS. So I checked out the button cleaned up some leftover plastic from manufacture, reseated the button and now back together it works as it should.Call quality is good.the “wireless desk phone” Is interesting. once the battery is charged up you can unplug it from the power cord and still use it. That is great in a power outage, as long as you still have an internet connection that is.

Easy Setup works great.Easy to set up on line when following instructions. Nobody ever answered Ooma toll free number. The web site Chat worked great, answered right away. The Chat was able to answer any questions relating to their services and products only. Bring in a technical question about any other brand of SIP phone working on their system had a “Call Toll Free Number” response which gets you nowhere. Porting a number was easy and quicker than their estimated time. I have 2 locations so I bought 2 Telo units. Read Telo options until you understand which Telo base will fit your needs or use Chat. I like that any phone or cordless phone can be used with Telo base that I bought. Not sure if all Telo base units work with analogue phones.

Quality product but…Quality product and it works well but the set up was awful and customer service is terrible. But once it was up and running, it’s been great!

OVERDRIVEN AUDIO!!! Total crap.Total crap. Mute button muted touch tones as well. Fail. Could not pick up lines that did not originally place call on hold. Fail. Lines on DP1 did not connect with line on back of Ooma Telo. Fail. Speakerphone was so bad Ooma Customer Service asked me not to use it. LMFAO WHAT A POS!!! Returned it all after 1 week of waiting for a techinical support ticket reply that ultimately never came. When I called to follow up CS said the ticket was closed and there was no notations or any further information. So sad. Great concept, but broken in so many ways. I do not reccomend anyone purchase this bastard of a product.

Exactly what my home office needed !This Ooma VOIP phone was exactly what I expected !! Voice quality is very clear and the access to voice mail from cell phone app is extremely convenient. Definitely recommend this over pricier monthly cable or traditional phone services.

Do not buyJust spent over 2 hours with ooma support with no help since the serial number of the ooma tell that Amazon sent was already in use on another account. Supposedly it takes 48 to 72 hours for ooma to correct the activation code and serial number.

Product Doesn’t work, Customer Support terrible.Wanted to add a business line to the home. Activation code didn’t work on their website. Contacted online support. Had to be escalated. Called later in the day finally got a person. They told me they needed a copy of my receipt that I had purchased it. I had it, bought it on Amazon, but returning the product. If I can’t rely on a company to sell me a product that actually works and makes me jump through hoops; I would be stupid to rely on them for my business communications. AWFUL.

cost and cancellationIts “sort of” free but you pay $5 month for tax. If you want to cancel, prepare to spend a lot of time on the phone and a lot of arguments.
