VERY IMPORTANT NOTES
FULL MANUAL LENS, no electric contacts→no auto focus→no image stabilization, require more exprerience with Manual Exposure.
- Must set camera to M mode(check the picture above) to use this lens, some may require to set “shutter release: no lens” ON in camera menu.
- Camera will not display the aperture value, must set manually on lens body.
No matter how good autofocus is, there are still times when manual focus is the better shooting option. When used in the right scenario, it gives a photographer more control over the photo, and in some cases, achieves effects that aren’t otherwise possible in autofocus mode.

FAQ
1. Q: Why does my picture seem to be blurry, out of focus?
A: Fine tune the front focusing ring to make your target in focus.
2. Q: Why does my camera show “lens not attached” ?
A: This is a full manual focus lens, no electric contacts, your camera will not detect the lens when mounted, switch camera to M mode.
3. Q: I cannot press the shutter when lens mounted, why?
A: Normally switch your camera to M mode will solve this issue, for some cameras, you need to turn off the shutter lock option in menu.

Sharp No auto focusHad mixed feelings about this lens. Love the sharpness of the photos you can capture with this lens. Purchased it thinking well I wouldn’t mind doing everything manual but I ended up minding. Lens does not have auto focus so when I would need to lower the camera to the ground it would be difficult to capture a focused photo.

Its ok should have returned it.The lens is not too great especially for the price tried doing photos with it they weren’t great and I get beautiful ones with my other two lenses. Maybe I’m doing something wrong 🤔 I should have returned it i probably won’t use it again. Now that doesn’t mean it won’t be a great lens for someone else

Manual focus, manual f stopI have a canon T5 it works great. Understand when buying this that all features are manual. If you need auto settings then this is not the lens for you. With that said, the image is tack sharp and it nicely blows out the background when f stop is set at 1.8. It comes with a lens cover and rear cap.Aesthetically the lens looks like it was spray painted… kinda looks like it’s still Wet. It has a nice tight fit against canon t5 however there is no mark or dot to line up so you just need to kinda know where it lines up the best.

It is really niceThis lens cannot zoom and cannot auto focusBut if you spend sometime to try different things, it is fantastic on shooting for still items or people and it is like 100 bucks

This lens is as sharp as a blunt butter knifeYes, this is a value lens. You know that right from the jump. However when you look at something like a Yongnuo lens, which is cheaper than the Nikon or Canon alternatives…you definitely realize that you’ll be cutting some corners. This though…was a rough version of what I had hoped it would be.For starters, the finish on the lens was terrible.Mine was scratched right out the box. Not just a little ding either. A very deep gouge. The lens hood…which is effectively built into the lens was painted incredibly bad. There were globs of dripping paint all over the outside and inside of the lens hood which were visible up close and far away.Ok, It looks rough, how does it perform? It doesn’t.With a manual lens you obviously have total control as to what’s in focus and what isn’t.The focusing ring was super stiff. Like it took considerable effort to move it. And even when you did manage to get it close….it wasn’t close at all. The optics may have been damaged or needed adjustments done. But I took 300 shots with three cameras and maybe 2 photos were sharp.Pass on this. The manufacturing isn’t consistent and they’re not concerned about quality, just giving you a value.Your money is better off in your pocket.
Niecey’s Reviews –
Yes for me!To me this is a very good manual lens to train your eye with as well as to learn the use and function of a lens. Clarity is good and the lens is easy to use, light weight and easy to understand. I love the fixed lens hood and cap, this is an accessory that you would have to pay extra for on some expensive well known brands. So this Lightdow lens and fixed hood is a yes for me! P.s. I can’t state technical facts because I’m still learning myself. Just give it a try.
