Great buyGreat value for a 70volt speaker. For a pa system in a school, it looks nice on the wall, hangs with a single screw, and has multiple 70V -wattage output settings. Tried the 10 w setting – too loud, so I dropped it down to the 5 watt setting – works well.May get more to spread throughout the halls and classrooms, replacing older RS classroom speakers. Would be great if it had an adjustable volume control on the bottom. That would be the clincher. The sound is OK for voice. The plug in strip is a little flimsy however….will see if this holds out.

Worked nicely on my church’s PA system. Before mounting the speaker, tested the different wattage outputs to see what the volume was. Ultimately went with choosing the 10W connection. I did end up bending the metal tabs on the outer covering to be able to remove it for access to the mounting screw holes. After mounting, slide the covering back in place and bent the tabs back. There were two other mounting screw sockets on the rear face, but I felt they were on the small side. Overall, quite satisfied with the final result.

These speakers sound ok for background and paging but I wouldn’t use them for other uses. Speakers were easy to mount, however the jacks for the speaker wire are a little too small for 16 gauge wire.

Not PleasedThese speakers are very functional. They mount and look just like I was hoping. Aesthetically, I’m very pleased with them.Acoustically, they are almost worthless. I’m powering them with a Sony 720 receiver; which provides more power than the speaker can even handle. Even adequately powered they do not provide anything close to “room filling” sound. I have them set to +10db and that just enough for them to heard on 7.1 surround sound movies. For music they might as well not even be there. In addition Amazon is very unclear in the way the label speakers. I thought I was buying a pair, when in fact it was a single speaker. I simple label like “(Single) or (Pair)” would be great, and it wouldn’t cost anything. The turnaround time from when I purchase these on Amazon was also very slow.I would not buy these speakers again, and if I did it wouldn’t be from Amazon. I onces waited for over a month for a pair of speakers that never came when I ordered them from Amazon. Tiger Direct had them at my door in 2 days with free shipping, they were not offered by Newegg or I might have bought them there. Other distributors offer better products with free shipping and super-fast turnaround times. I can think of two big ones… I suggest purchasing your home audio equipment from them.

Good Public Address SpeakerThis is a PA speaker, not a HiFi speaker. The built-in 90V transformer makes using it easy, needing only smaller wires that can be run over long distances. However, it does lack on low-end sound reproduction when using the built-in 90volt transformer. It mounts easily, though the shape is a bit unconventional for a typical room with square lines, corners, etc. The spring-lever type speaker connections are ok, but do not grasp the wire very strongly. Overall, ok for the purchase cost I paid.

Meh.The sound quality of these speakers is what would best be described as “meh.” They do the job, but don’t expect excellent sound quality.
