Changing my rating
I used it once and 5 months later I tried to use it again, and it won’t heat. Of course, you can’t return it after 30 days so then you are forced to contact the manufacturer. Wish me luck with that.Update#1: Contacted manufacturer and they are being extremely helpful. Even though it’s halloween and these are extremely hard to find, they are working on getting me a replacement as soon as possible.Update#2: I’ve raised this from 1 to 3 stars because when it works, it produces fantastic fog and plenty of it. After contacting the manufacturer, they were able to get me a replacement in a matter of days. First, we worked over the phone to see what the issue may be and then came to the conclusion that the heater was just a bad one. Now, I’ll update again after some more time to see if this one lasts.

Good product so far. Quick heat up time. Needs switch for LED color-change tank light.
I ordered this as a sort-of “always on” fog machine. It works well with quick heat-up time, but the fog output could be better and is noticeably less than one of the cheap-o 1000W fog machines. I wish the control/timer port was a standard 3-prong so I could use my existing timers, but I ordered with a timer and wireless control. The wireless controller is very limited in range, and must extend the flimsy antenna (scary!) in order to operate from more than 1-2 feet away.I wish there was a switch or something to turn off the LED lights under the fluid tank. I had to cover with some electrical tape to use in a dark room so you wouldn’t see the machine.

Temperamental POS
Buy this if you want it to work once & never again!

Machine Worked Timer Was Bad
The timed controller stopped working about 30 seconds after plugging it in, which is kind of the whole purpose of purchasing this fog machine, so that I can throw events and not have to stand by the fog machine like an idiot every 10 minutes.

Chauvet falsifies claims and won’t warranty
I’ll make this short DONT BUY and AVOID SELLER! The seller is horrible, told me I would pay a restocking fee but would not even state the price until they receive item on top of return shipping fee. Basically a complete lose of money and no fog machine even if it’s crap! Contacted Chauvet directly over 10x never got a return call or email. States it produces 10,000CFM. My 20 year old V-940 rated at 7,000CFM puts out at least 5x as much. The Chauvet only pushes out about 2 feet before losing pressure and rising up the old V-940 pushes out 8-10 feet. The Chauvet constantly sputters like it’s about to break and stop, not a strong consistent fog. Can’t even fill my garage, worthless for anything other than a small bedroom. My ancient V-940 will flood the whole street after running through my chiller. The Chauvet is a joke can’t do anything past the chiller. The Chauvet is all plastic parts and a tiny pump. The V-940 has all metal pump that is about 3x the size of Chauvet. Either the unit is defective or (what I believe) the Chauvet completely falsifies their claims of performance.
