stereo lav mic is cool lav mic. It’s just a bit gleefully odd to have a stereo lavaliere mic.I definitely hear a difference between this and my Purple Panda mic. The main issue I have with it has to due with my intended use, not the device (want to use this under a helmet…wonder if a stereo micro version of this could be made without making it a MILLION DOLLARSSSZZZS.

Amazing Sound QualityThis lavalier microphone does exactly what I hoped for. I needed to start narrating some videos and so I went to my go-to brand – Sony! I purchased 3 of these mics for my Sony ICD-UX570 voice recorders and Sony PCM-A10 Linear PCM recorder. The recorded sound quality is perfect for what I needed. Then, I mic’d up my wife and myself at an Air Force Thunderbirds air show. The mic’s worked so perfectly that you could hear our voices in perfect clarity while also minimizing the loud jets performing. The only negative thing I have to say about this mic is that the foam windscreen comes off VERY easily. I lost one without knowing and had to purchase some replacement foam screens. I wish Sony had a wireless version such as the Photry wireless lavalier so I’ll keep my fingers crossed.

Good SoundWhen my daughter’s car was stolen, the thief ripped off the aftermarket microphone that came with it. I relocated the microphone (from the ceiling) to be near the gauge cluster and bought a better quality mic. What a difference! Calls are clear with good acoustics. This purchase exceeded expectations.

works wellWorks with USB iMic adapter and sony ICD-UX570 recorder. Very pleased. Hey Its Sony!

Awesome with Rode Wireless GoiiThis mic is a lot less sensitive and a lot harder to clip then the on board mic on the wireless gos and many other lav mics.

My badMy bad, I didn’t look to see how long the cord was. Seems it’s only good for V-logging yourself. The camera will be too close to film someone else with it on–short cord.

This worked for my personal guitar practice!I’ve been learning guitar. I had purchased a small Sony recorder but background noise was an issue as I certainly don’t have a recording studio.I purchased this thinking I could clip it onto the sound hole of the guitar, it fit but picked up high E string too much.I clipped it onto my blouse.I can record my practice plays excellently. Good enough for me.I’m very happy but I do treat it gently.

Lackluster sound.Out of teh box he sound is pretty lackluster. As an audio novice there are probably some tweaks that I have not learned yet, but I was pretty let down. You will also need to find out what accessories you need to purchase to connect this to a laptop or device with a TRRS input.Cord length is really disapointing. The only pro is that it is stereo, so youcan play with that a bit. Still, there are less expensive mono options out there, that really seem to provide the same or superior recording quality. It look like you are paying a premium fo rthe Sony name.I will keep it, but I should have researched more before purchasing at this price.

Best bang for the buckRight off the bat, I know some people are going to complain that the cord is too short. Two things:- if clipping it to your shirt/jacket and plugging into a camera you’re using for vlogging handheld, this is the perfect length of cord: Not too long to trip over and not so short that it’s going to dangle.- If recording to an external audio device, be it a transmitter or a handheld thing like a Zoom F1 that you’re keeping in your pocket, it’s again the perfect length. If you need a longer cord, any of the headphone extension cables found on Amazon work perfectly fine (which I’ve also used when in a studio streaming setup). The clarity and sound quality out of this stereo mic is perfect, and if you’re going to only record mono, just turn it so that the left channel is facing upwards. I love the ability to turn it in multiple directions depending on the side of jacket I’m wearing it on.
