What can I do when the microphone cannot be used? Few ways for troubleshooting:
- A.You need to disable the computer’s onboard mic by accessing your sound devices in the hardware section of the control panel. And choose the mic (JV601)
- B.Check whether the “mic mute” of the online control is open or not. When the “mic mute” is open, the light will turn red.
- C.Please don’t connect the microphone to an extension adapter(includes USB hub), or it will weaken the signal sent from devices. The cable length is 1.8m (6ft), long enough for daily use.

Perfect so far for Dragon dictationIt was sort of on a whim that I looked up standalone microphones. I have used mostly wired and wireless headsets for Dragon dictation at work, and it just seemed unnecessary to be wearing a headset constantly. I was happy to find that these standalone microphones exist. I was skeptical it would work as well as a headset since the microphone is much further from my mouth. But so far it seems to be doing at least as well as my headsets. And I was pleasantly surprised to find that it also seems to block out the background noise as well as my noise-cancelling headsets. I can have the radio playing through a speaker right behind the microphone, and I can dictate just as I normally would and the background music does not seem to interfere at all. So overall, I am very pleased and just ordered another one for home use as well.

Inexpensive Plug-In Mic Works GreatRead a few reviews and decided to try it. It works just as presented. I just plugged it in, let the computer recognize it and off you go. Works great. On – Off button, volume is controlled on the computer. 20 bucks.

Good substitute for default laptop micI ordered this mic as a very affordable substitute for the mic on my HP laptop, which was working fine with Zoom but for some reason very faint with Teams, which my employer started using. Now that this one is plugged in (and it worked immediately), that problem went away. I did have to specifically set Zoom (for when I still use that) to select this mic rather than the laptop’s (or else unplug this one). The model I got does not have a volume control; it has an on/off switch that I guess you’d use if for some reason you couldn’t use the software’s mute button. The gooseneck makes it easy to place/point this mic where you want it. No one has said, “Wow, what amazing sound,” which is why I haven’t given the sound 5 stars, but I would never have expected that at this price. It also shipped quite promptly.

Very sensitive and no glitchingIt connected immediately. No issues and the sound output is very high and rich. I have loved that it is very flexible and I can flex it to any position.

Just what was needed.I got this for my mother when I had trouble hearing her on Skype while using her laptop mic. It works great, and she doesn’t have to hold it up to her mouth, she can sit it on the desk.
