Basic ceiling speakerThis is a basic ceiling speaker with push terminal connections. This is NOT a 70V speaker for commercial use, it’s an 8 ohm speaker designed for home use such as Atmos sound or whole-house audio using consumer equipment. (You can probably buy a 70V transformer for connection to a 70V line though.)A template is included to ensure a perfectly-sized cutout the first time. Connect it to an amp of your choice and go!There is no “box” behind the speaker so if you’re installing it with the back pointing into the attic you’ll want to build a box around it instead of covering the speaker directly with insulation.

sounds great!This is a part of my new hardwired surround sound system. It’s sounds great! It was beyond easy to install – something so satisfying about knowing once installed it’s DONE, no worries about it unsyncing or anything! It’s also nice that I’ll be able to paint it when the time comes to update the ceiling color. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Works like a charmGot this to pair up against some 4x50w amplifier/receiver that I Frankenstein together for my garage ceiling. The speaker does sound good enough and not irritating. I don’t like too loud of a music when I do work in the garage, so I won’t ever need to get to the distortion sound levels. But this speaker does top out at some point, lower than what my car’s studio can do. Overall, the speaker seems well built, all the materials are taught and sturdy. You won’t find paper cones and skimping soldered points with this speaker. Should last as long as I need it to be.

Good Sound From A Smaller SpeakerThis speaker surprised me when I felt how heavy the box was. Upon opening I found a nice looking quality built speaker. After installing, the sound quality was really good also. It has a nice terminal point for wire connections. It has a built-in screw/wing attachment system for installation.

Lightweight speaker with old fashioned mounts and electric power.This is a single, lightweight speaker with old school connectivity. You literally have to hook up exposed metal wiring, positive and negative, on both ends of the connection, to the central electricity of your home. I assume it can also be used in a car especially one with older simpler wiring.If you happen to have all the other wiring in place plus a 5-in hole in your wall or ceiling, this might be the product for you. However, nowadays with the power of even small Bluetooth speakers, this type of speaker is kind of a dinosaur.I hooked it up to test it and the sound is quite disappointing as well. It feels lightweight, which is no longer necessarily a sign of weak power, but this speaker was unable to keep up with the similarly sized practice amps that we have.Overall this speaker would only be good for someone who wants a vintage audio experience, including the limitations. You can buy sound bars and tiny surround sound speaker sets for a similar price that will give you not only that stereo aspect that is missing in a single speaker, but also better quality sound.
