Great machine but crummy instructions.I’m using the SM250 in our Light-O-Rama Christmas light display and it works great after lots of experimenting. I also use a large fan to blow the flakes farther. Activating it by several input methods and all are working fine. Mainly activated via DMX but also directly by the wireless remote hand fob. Beware the instructions are awful and don’t even mention some of the important features. A call to tech support wasn’t much help either. Had to figure this out by experimenting. Beware this SM250 snow machine uses lots of fluid so buy more than you think you will need. I’m using a home brew that costs a fraction and works as good or better than the Chauvet fluid. Overall, I’m happy with this machine.

Loud, think snow, does the jobI bought this for an outdoor Christmas display. It is crazy loud, and the “snowflake” size is random and many are huge. It is also an extremely heavy machine. That all said, it did it’s job, but if you are looking for a nice home display, this isn’t it

Worked great! After researching all of the snow machines on Amazon, we decided on this one. Although a bit pricey compared to some of the other cheaper models, we were still happy with what we got. We have a fog machine by the same brand and liked how it worked. The remote control function is the same on this machine as it is the fog machine which gives you lots of control. The cord on the remote control is super long (maybe around 10 ft long). We used this on our Christmas parade float and it was perfect. Don’t waste your money on the snow fluid these companies sell you, I bought 1 gallon of it and then made 2 gallons of our own mix with Mr bubble (4oz) rubbing alcohol (4oz), and a 120 oz of distilled water (basically poured 8 oz of water out and then replace 8 oz with soap and alcohol). If I had more time to experiment, there may be some better ratios, but after using all 3 gallons at our parade, it seemed identical to what we purchased from Mr Froggy’s.

Could be solid with a few fixes from manufacturerI’ve had mine just a week or so and have had it break twice. The first time I had snow fluid start dripping out of the bottom. I took the cover off and the plastic pickup tube goes to a thin silicone adapter that connects to the pump. The silicone tube had split. Now, I own a Chauvet fog machine and I know not to pull the tube hard, but cannot say if it was already too much tension from manufacturer or it got pulled on. I simply cut the silicone tube, grabbed some zip ties and fixed it. THIS issue can be fixed by the manufacturer simply zip tying the tube inside on the frame where it starts going vertical to come out the top. This would keep people from pulling n it too hard. The second thing that happened is the fan stopped working. The fan speed switch seemed funky so I broke out my multimeter and tested the switch, bad switch confirmed. I’m not sending it back, I will never need low speed so I am going to make it a permanent high speed blower. Not sure how they can fix the switch issue. Most people wouldn’t be able to troubleshoot that.

Just a bubble machineIt did not have instructions, dificult to figure out. No care instruction.Came missing 2 pieces that the one sheet quick reference listed as included.Kids had fun but this is really just a bubble machine

They reforms or exchange product even you returned the productThe machine works fine , however you have to make sure how to set it up because I ran out of almost a gallon of fluid in 10 min and it was very thick ( doesn’t tell u exactly what the bottoms are for and they’re like 4) after I figured out I put the 1/4 of liquid I had left and it was great. Mine was defective, AND THE WORSE IS NOT THE PRODUCT BEING DEFECTIVE IS GETTING UR MONEY BACK OR PRODUCT EXCHANGE.

Wouldn’t blow snow… initiallyLike others it wouldn’t blow snow out of the box. What we discovered was the little brass piece on the end of the hose that goes into the reservoir was preventing the fluid from getting into machine. Once we removed that it worked just fine.

Dont bother with the expensive snow solution, you can make your ownWe set the timer to intervals so one gallon of ‘snow’ lasted all night, and had a chance to dissipate on the ground. You don’t have to use the brand name bottles of snow. they are over priced and you can make the same solution using rubbing alcohol, distilled water and bubble bath. we ran a Christmas event for 30 days straight and only used our homemade solution and had no problems with our machines.
