I’ve bought this after my EPA40 died after TEN YEARS!I have been using the EPA40 I bought for doing sightseeing tours ten years ago, and it just finally petered out. I think 10 years of wear and tear and getting beat up was pretty good. I used it 3-4 days a week. This one is the replacement for the EPA40, I think. It sounds great. I carry it in a bag, and YOU WILL HEAR ME ACROSS THE STREET! I was worried about feedback from a couple of the reviews and I thought it was doing that when I first tried it out, but I have not had a problem with it since. I couldn’t be happier with it. If you need a lightweight personal PA, this is the one to get. I’ve tried so many, and nothing compared. All the others were puny and tinny, but not this bad boy. I’d give it 6 stars if I could.

Lightweight, versatile, portable, and powerfulSo far so good! Used it with handheld USB mic (Ultralink same company) and at the same time with another clip-on mic. Both works though USB mic worked much better.Also, by some reason, I could control volume on the speaker only for USB mic, all other devices that were plugged into different ports could be controlled only from those devices, not from this speaker.Not a big deal for me though.Not very comfortable positioning of everything on the panel as well.All in all, it works well, very lightweight and powerful enough for the large recreation room.I will see how it works on our upcoming concerts in nursing homes – would be a welcome change from our previous bulky equipment.

Great ProductI use this to run a metronome for the drumline I teach. It works very well for sectionals, not loud enough for a full ensemble. Otherwise perfect for what I need.

Not worth itBattery compartment rattles a lot when volume is 50% or more making the product unusable unless you keep it at very low volume. I returned it right after the first 2 minutes of use. Moreover, during the return process, I discovered that I had to pay for shipping so even though I’m technically getting a full refund, I already lost money since thing has some weight to it and shipping is not cheap. Big thumbs down.

Great portable speakerLove this speaker, its light, its portable. It’s loud.Yeah the volume adjustment doesn’t seem to work for the line input. But that’s ok. Smartphone volume is 50% for a pretty loud signal. And you can remove the battery if it’s not needed.
