Not bad for the price
Where to start…I purchased this soley on the bluetooth connection on it claiming to be easy pairing…which couldn’t be further fr the truth if you have a samsung tizen tv. It took almost 2 hours of trying to pair it to my tv I went to call pyles customer support they don’t have a phone number…I tried their live chat but apparently that’s only for sales reps and not support techs they then transfered me via email to support tech but that was 24 hours later that I got an email response and by then already got the tv to connect to the blue tooth device and no longer needed the support. Now on to the next topic. The instruction manual is vauge and not really informative about it’s bluetooth. It does not have any way to manually pair to it via a pre programmed pin code to force/approve bluetooth connection. It does not also have a specific channel for bluetooth and disables all other audio options when bluetooth mode is enabled so if I wanted to listen to the radio I have to push the button on the receiver to disable the bluetooth which brings me to my next topic…the remote of all things the remote should have a button to turn on and off bluetooth mode…the remote shown in the pictures is not the remote I received with this product. The remote feels cheap and the buttons stick when pressed and get stuck under the cheap plastic casing ment to protect the remotes pcb. The volume and tuning buttons are tiny and difficult to find unless held under the light and the remote is black with blue around the buttons with white text instead of black text to stand out on the blue background. The it sensor for the remote and on the receiver is easily blocked and is a pain if you like me have nicnaks and decorations on your living room table/tv stand that are anywhere remotely close to the front of the receiver.Sound quality is the next topic of my post and to bein I would first like to say wow… I expected less for it’s price and everything else previously mentioned it’s surprising sounds really good it drives all 4 speakers and the subwoofer I have with no problems I can set the volume to 10 and it’s loud enough to hear a pin drop in what I’m watching. There is a slight static when nothing is playing but easily ignored after about a day you won’t even notice it happening. It supposedly has led lights to show left right balance of audio and the digital eq visualizer display is shotty and if the volume is low it doesn’t light up or display on the screen like it’s got anything going on it’s not important but it could be better.Power and standby mode..Main unit power is only on the receiver via a push button it is not a button on the remote…the only option for power on the remote is the standby button…which is acceptable I guess. I like to turn off my systems when not in use at night…when putting the system into standby mode you would expect the entire unit to power down in regards to the front IO lighting but that is not the case, it stays all lit up blue and in a unlit room it is bright enough to shed enough light to walk around and see obstacles you may stub your toe on otherwise…in short when putting anything into stand by all lighting should turn off and this receiver has alot of lighting. The dvd player is a nice tac on feature but pointless in a home with multiple game systems and computers or even if you have a smart tv that has netflix prime video and such not really needed and it holds no use for setting up the audio outputs for the receiver. The on unit display is difficult to navigate and the on unit buttons are hard to press and most do nothing at all. Overall for it’s price it’s not a terrible unit, but if your looking for something with ease of use do not buy this unit.

Simple controls good sound good power
Bought mainly for simplified A/B speaker set up for my garage. That and the Bluetooth ability for my smartphone. Connected flawlessly.ProsBluetoothSimple adjustmentRemoteEasy fm storageConsDisplay lights blind you can’t read description above themCan’t use sub output without a monitor display for set up menu (ridiculously stupid) fix thisSound although balanced without sub is vocal focused (you will want an EQ app on your device)I would recommend this for a basic garage system. Price is good for the power it puts out. Has a lot of Karaoke features if your into that which I will never use.I did have to return the first one I received left bank on both channels didn’t work. Amazon is awesome about standing behind their return process. Had replacement in 2 days

Died 12 months in
Powers on, when I first hit the power button the music plays for half of a second and then stops. Must not be holding it’s power for some reason. Worked fantastic for a while though

Bluetooth has a surprisingly low range and cuts out often
We bought this last year for our outdoor patio speakers and we’re initially very excited due to the sound quality. Once we started using this we installed it in the garage very close to the wall near our patio. The Bluetooth only worked 1-2 ft outside the wall which we figured was due to the wall interfering. So we moved the speaker system outside and re-installed it and we were sadly surprised the Bluetooth only works 5 feet from the system and cut out constantly. We replace this with a Sony system this year and have that system back in the garage and can be at the other end of the yard (60 ft away) with no issues and through a brick wall.If you get this system do not get it for Bluetooth use, it does not work well at all.

Pyle 1000BA/1000BT review
If you are looking for a device to stream music from a mobile device over Bluetooth to wired speakers, this may be the device for you. If you want a core amp/receiver to play music from a CD/DVD or jump drive, be aware that it will only play MP3 format and the USB is 2.0. If you want to input another device (record player, cd player etc.) you only have one set of RCA input jacks. The first unit we received did not have an on/off button attached so it was essentially useless. The replacement unit was different and appeared to be used (packaged differently, interior Styrofoam cushioning was broken, brackets were already installed on the unit) and was different from the first unit received (all indicator buttons were clear instead of blue, no antennae included to increase Bluetooth range, different manual and password). There is no information regarding the difference between a BA or BT model available anywhere. The range from the receiver to mobile device (iphone) is advertised as 35 feet but is closer to half that in a direct unobstructed line. Perhaps if you get the antennae it would be greater. The manual is typical for something translated from a non-native English speaker and is a somewhat humorous read, if not helpful. We did not use it for any of the advertised video applications, but based upon the manual guidance, pack a lunch because it may take a while to set that up.

Decent Unit = Good Value Overall
Liked the price for all the features . So far there is a small buzz in the blue tooth circuit . The antenna secure but was loose after adding the antenna , so I had take the tools. Let’s hope the buzz is fine and gone now. Sound quality is ok and powerful .Ok so now after 6 months of just a moderate use it’s dead . :(. Not sure it’s even worth trying to repair.——- Update – it was cockpit error / other users pushing buttons. The unit was not dead. The A/B speaker buttons had been released.I’ve had to epoxy the blue tooth antenna in place ( Inside ring lock nut was stripped). It’s now working fine but indeed has small noises ( small buzz in the speakers when BT is used and V all the way down. Not a huge deal . And the cooling fan is a bit loud when close to the unit ( comes on at higher volumes ).Overall the A/B speaker outputs for inside and back porch is why I bought it and all the features / price , and honestly it works well enough that I just bought a second unit . Stay tuned on that one ;)Update 2 – the second unit also has issues . Fm stationsWill not hold in memory or auto scan ?

Great buy if you want something that only halfway works and no customer support.
This looks like a good deal, and it probably is. I have looked all over for something of this capacity that’ll do what I’m looking for in a stereo for my garage. Unfortunately I can’t get a hold of anyone at Pyle, I had this receiver for 2 days now. It will not save a radio station into the memory, and the tuning on the thing is awful so it takes forever to find the station your looking for, as well as no FM antenna came with it like it was supposed to have. The remote control is the most confusing hardest to read remote I have ever experienced in my life. The person who designed it has obviously never seen or used a remote before. THIS IS NOT WIFI ANYTHING, even though the they show the WIFI logo all over the pictures this is not WIFI. They are using the wrong logo for Bluetooth, so do not buy this if your looking for something to connect to the internet. I don’t know why they are not using the Bluetooth logo but that’s a question for the non-existent customer service. If you’re looking for something to connect to your phone and play music or hook a microphone into and sing, then I would buy this for the money. If your looking for something to work properly with an easy to see and read remote and customer service to back the product up. Then this is definitely not what you’re looking for at all.
