Good for the price but needs active cooling and a mount for meUsed to feed NDI|HX from camera hdmi for baseball game streaming – Southern US and hot in summer.Outside in ambient temp of about 85-95 F and placed in the shade – runs about 51 C. Drops connection – stuttering, some tearing and needs a couple of restarts per night. Google search on specs shows 0-45 C temp range in some page summaries but no mention of range when on sites or viewing manual. Manual shows images of device running 76 C (168 F – Ouch!).Stuck a 60 mm EC fan on top and dropped temp by 5-10 C – rock solid whole night. Will modify the case postseason and make fan install more permanent and efficient. Also epoxied a 1/4 mount to bottom. Much easier to place.Still seem to be worth it with some modifications.

Nice little boxBought this a few months ago when I could not get a USB capture device. In addition to the HDMI capture, it lets you open a network stream and convert to NDIHX. You can do 1 1080p60 encode or instead you can capture from HDMI AND a separate network stream simultaneously at 1080p30. I have been using this feature so I can convert the H264 program stream and the HDMI multi-viewer output from my switcher via NDIHX. There are a whole bunch of protocols and encoding parameters you can mess with via the webpage interface. Quality looks good, and with the right player i can get about half a second of latency. Nice little box.

Surprisingly for the price – it works almost exactly as describedPros:1/2 second latency with proper player settings.Very small. A 12v POE Splitter can be used to power this over EthernetSRT works as expected. You will not find a lower priced device with SRT Support.Cons:NDI is removed in newer versions. NDI 4.0 was not supported in older version.Heat – It runs warm. Do not stack them.

great inexpensive NDI converterI got 2 of these units to convert DSLR Cameras to an NDI feed to be used for broadcast. They work great, I received an older model that hadn’t been converted to NDI and the seller was great about walking me through the Firmware update and putting the codes in to turn on the NDI features.I highly recommend this unit and this seller
Convenient Technology Services –
Device gets hot, but easy to setup and worksAside from the device getting real hot that you can’t leave it on any plastic, and the output video delay; the device was easy to setup and worked.

Very Pleased with this Purchase.Great little NDI converter. Used it to convert HDMI to NDI on a Camcorder. Used instead of a capture devices. Works great with Vmix to grab the signal for live broadcast. Tech support was very helpful when needed.
