Bright split-beam fixture, but some specs are overstated, and optics arrived dirty.
This mini moving head could serve nicely in a mobile DJ setup, at parties/dances, or in other small venues where the split-beam effect might be desirable. The prism lens’ tripled output is somewhat effective at creating the appearance of additional fixtures in your lighting rig, but the effect comes at the cost of versatility (e.g., the unit can’t be used as a mini-spotlight). As such, this fixture isn’t ideal for theatre or other usages that might call for a single beam of light. As usual for a party/DJ light, auto and sound-activated modes are offered, but you’ll get the best control via DMX. The unit offers 10 and 12 channel DMX modes (8-bit vs. 16-bit pan/tilt), with mostly good control over the light’s functions. The only exception is the front-facing light ring, whose single control channel provides only a limited selection of preset colors and chases (no RGB mixing nor dimming).Build quality is okay given this fixture’s low price point, but a couple things are worth pointing out. The unit is advertised as featuring 24 gobos, but in reality, there are only eight patterns. Three copies of your selected gobo are projected, but that’s definitely not the same thing as having 24 gobos. Also, this fixture is advertised with a 270-degree tilt, but the motor’s movement range actually is limited to about 210 degrees (whether controlling by DMX or remote control).I must also mention that my unit’s optics arrived very dirty from the factory. Heavy fingerprints and grime coated both front and back of the lens, and I actually saw a noticeable brightness boost after cleaning those surfaces. Sadly, a visible layer of dust/haze remains frustratingly trapped inside the lens, sealed between the elements. The manufacturer really needs to clean up its factory conditions.Overall, this mini effect light offers good performance in terms of brightness and movement speed, and it’s worth considering as long as you don’t mind the permanent three-beam effect. The exaggerated specs and filthy optics are disappointing, however, so this fixture just manages to earn a four-star rating (rounded up from 3.5).

    A fun light!
A nice sized full featured moving head. It was easy to focus the gobos. The lens element moves nicely. The head responds nicely and predictively to music. I used the sound activated mode and the mic works well at picking up the notes in the music. I tried to capture a few of the gobos but it was moving too quickly. They all were very sharp and looked great. This is a nice addition to my other lights. I may be time to try a little DMX with them.

Small but mighty – great built in functions + DMX compatibility.

This 60 watt LED Gobo light is incredibly versatile, and well suited for casual users and advanced DMX programmers alike. The LED light comes with a remote that has a variety of functions available, including the ability to manually adjust x and y positioning, strobe or steady light effects, solid color or patterns, automatically changing patterns and colors or static colors, automatic sweep movement, and custom color settings, along with the ability to turn the unit on and off.The rear of the unit features DMX in and DMX out ports with standard 3-pin XLR interface. Also on the rear is the power plug socket to plug in the included power cable into a standard 120v AC socket. Here you’ll also find the ability to adjust various settings using the four buttons: menu, up, down, and enter.Bulid quality is above average for this price range. The housing is made from alumninum and feels very solid and durable. There is a fan however it isn’t obnoxiously loud. This thing is tiny! It puts out quite a bit of light (photos taken noon in full daylight). The colors and patterns are rich and vibrant, and the ability to throw large projections from a good distance away making this unit particularly well suited for ceiling installation (brackets included).BOTTOM LINE:Great unit with a wide range of custom animation and lighting effects available right out of the box, and even more so when used as part of a DMX setup.

    Look At It Go

It was really quiet. I had to really listen to hear it’s gears doing it’s thing. But it just did what it does best and didn’t miss a beat. The remote control worked well but line of sight is needed. I think it’s the only thing holding it back. Maybe a RF one so when it’s far up in the rafters it will still work properly. We do plan to connect it to others so it’s needed now but later when we daisy chain them together not so much anymore. Instructions showed what was needed and how to go about it but anyone not familiar with these type of light may have a issue with the instructions as it’s mostly numbers that are used. It’s been made well with quality materials and I didn’t see any cheap parts being used except for the remote. The pieces and parts all fit together well and gaps and seams are straight and consistent throughout the DJ stage light. No overheating with the built in fan. Setup was a breeze and the accessories and hardware made it easier to mount almost anywhere. The music and the light danced together well when in sound mode. I’m satisfied with the quality of the light and it’s awesome functionality and it’s never tiring ways after twelve hours of continuous use. Four Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!
