Great pocket photo printer despite discolorationI bought this for myself for Christmas with my husband’s card (with his permission of course! LOL). I wanted something that I could use to print small photos for my journal or just in general.In some of the other reviews people have listed the following cons:JamsPoor photo quality (off color).In my quest to locate more photo paper I’ve seen others advise that yes, it may jam due to the photo paper curling. I believe the way to fix it would be to bend them the other way before printing. Remove the whole stack and just bend them a little in the opposite direction to get them to flatten out. Physical photos in general tend to do this so not a huge issue.Next is the discoloration. I’ve included two photos. The one directly off my phone and then a picture of the one I printed. There is discoloration. My photos appear warmer than the actual photo should be. I don’t hate it, and it isn’t a big deal to me. If I print a photo of myself this might help me as I am very pale and could use the extra help haha.I’ve printed three photos so far. I would print more but I want to have a vast store of blanks before I go ham on it. But the three that I have printed have turned out great despite the discoloration.Overall I like the printer and can live with the warmer colored photos.

Had the camera but this is better!This was a god sent item for me. I had the camera for a year but it had stop working. I was looking for something less expensive but this was money well spent. I pray it works for years to come.

Fun photo printerOk, got replacement and it worked. Hail Amazon returns! Unit needed to be fully charged before accepting firmware update. The photos are pretty amazing for something so small and without color cartridges! But they are only 2″×3″. Handy printer for memorable moments. 4 stars because I needed a second try. Leaving my old review to show my frustration.Set up seemed easy, ha. Stuck on updating the firmware, zero progress after hours of trying. Can’t do anything without that firmware. Really disappointed in Kodak, the film legend seems to be dieing in this digital photo age. I wanted to support them, there are other tiny photo printers available. Even the manual had no troubleshooting chapter. I’m sure this will get resolved but I fear a return is in this units future, and then the waiting for a replacement. Oh yeah the review wants me to mention the picture quality……it won’t print without firmware update so I must say the picture quality is completely poor!

Great BUT Read BelowThe color reproduction on these mini printers isn’t great…but you’re also only looking for 2X3″ prints and shouldn’t expect museum quality. The trick to getting good prints is to use the filters in the Kodak app. I get best results by first going to the “Technico” filter, then I dial it back to around 50%, then I switch to “edit” feature and brighten the image by 19 or 20. Personally, I like adding the white border in the style section then hit print. It might sound complicated but when you get used to it, you can edit and print an image in under 60 seconds.

Printing is slowThe printing is slow… no instant gratification however, it is pretty cool. I like the idea that the paper allows the picture to be used as a sticker. My primary use is printing candid pictures of my grandchildren and keeping them around my workspace. The pictures are small so they don’t take up much room.I am glad that I bought this printer. It is sort of like the old time polaroids but smaller and better print quality.

Bad customer serviceI was very disappointed with Kodak’s customer service via email, which was the only alternative I found for communication on the KODAK SMILE printer. Impossible to find a phone number to talk to a real person. Ended up solving it on my own even after Kodak gave me to support ticket numbers to with no further communication. Will definitely take this into consideration if I was to purchase any other Kodak product

Heat of the moment Snapshots you can shareWe are living in the digital age which has brought us so much benefit. Sometimes you want a memory you can touch, and a phone screen can diminish your memories.This is an awesome product. – Easy to set up and connect. – Convenient. You can actually carry it around in your pocket – The pictures are of reasonable qualityThe only con I can see so far is the print size is small.We have a therapy dog we take to various institutions (hospitals, homeless shelters) and the people LOVE having a small print they can actually put their hands on and remember being comforted by a Dog.On vacations, we can add photos to postcards to personalize the thoughts (The prints have an adhesive back). The same goes for greeting cards.

Nifty, but not the best print qualityThe printer was easy to set up, and it looks fantastic.The print quality is definitely not quite as good as I hoped. You know how a picture looks when you increase the Clarity too much on an editing app—almost like there’s a black outline on some areas? Some prints feel a little like that. It’ll work for what I want, which is to quickly preserve favorite images in a journal, but potential buyers should consider this.
