Great little speakerTwo wired input channels, a wireless Bluetooth input (but unlike the more expensive EON 600 and 700 there’s no remote control via Bluetooth), XLR output, and plenty capable of pushing clean, powerful sound throughout a small to medium club. As a guitar/vocal this is all I need, but a DJ would likely want more (i.e. a second one of these and a subwoofer or two).

honestly, it just kinda adequate…I’ve been using jbl products since the mid 90’s and I really wanted to like this. It has the same problem that the jbl Eon615 powered speakers do- underpowered and barely adequate. To start with the electronic (instead of mechanical) power switch is irritating and, I feel, is much more prone to failure than an old fashioned power switch.I know this is a small speaker but there is not much output and there is very little headroom even in a really small space.I use this for wedding ceremony music and it is running right on the edge of its capabilities even though the sound requirements for a wedding ceremony are not that great. The bass is fine as is the sound quality but it’s just nothing that makes you feel it is worth what it costs. The bass is a bit heavy in the full-range mode and that makes it very clipping-prone.It is good enough to make you decide to keep it rather than go through the trouble of packing it back up and returning it but not good enough to make you feel good about the purchase. You won’t be mad about getting this speaker nor will you be thrilled. It’s just Meh…and that makes me a bit sad.

Think about the power button before purchasingAll in all, I love this speaker. As the ads say, it really does sound like a 10 inch speaker when it’s really 8 inch. Crystal clear and loud. The build quality is excellent, especially compared to Alto products. The bluetooth works great and so do all of the other functions. One important issue you should consider is how the power button works though. It is not a switch that you can leave on and power from a wall switch or surge strip. You have to physically go to the back of the speaker and turn it on with the momentary push-button switch. So if you have several of these speakers in a room, just know that you will need to walk around and physically get to each speaker to power on. I contacted JBL tech support and they confirmed that there is no way around this. It would have been better if that momentary switch actually pushed in and stayed in until pushed again. Then the user could flip the speakers on with a wall switch or surge strip instead of having to make the rounds just to turn them on.

Love this speaker! Neighbors, not so much.I’m really impressed with the quality and volume of this speaker, and it’s the 8”. It sounds amazing and very loud. Much better compared to my other larger but not JBL speakers.

Kicks it out!Nice little speaker. I use it on my drum kit in the living room when the wife isn’t home. Also good to crank on the toons at our pool parties, yeah nothing says rockin’ like the Partridge Family Live album, yes sir, gotta say they had it goin’ on baby.In all seriousness, this is a nice little speaker. I have a lower powered Behringer that I’ve had for years and paid about the same for like 8 years ago and the JBL just blows it away in sound quality. But still, with an 8″ speaker you can only get so much clarity and range.

I OWN AN AUDIO COMPANY THESE ARE TRASHAll lies.Says 1300 watts more like 150Sound super flatBreaks within a yearTurns off on its own if not used for 10 minutesNot battery power as advertised. They’re nothing and yak about this speaker and all the awesome sales points they make. They truly are crappy. If you want an oversized blue tooth speaker with no battery that will fail in a year but these.I bought 18 of them like a dummy.Best alternative that will last 5 years or more.Qsc cp8. These sound amazing and will last.Jbl is cheap consumer trash

Fantastic.I’m loving this speaker, it sounds great, it’s very light and easy to manage. It’s a great bang for the buck. The Bluetooth only reaches so far as bluetooth seems to reach (which seems a bit less in this case), but that’s to be expected. It’s great.
