LovelyMy bf is out of town for a couple of weeks and took his JBL 5 with him, so this modern problem justified my long time desire to purchase a JBL Clip 3. My BF has great music taste, but now I get to blast my preferred tunes while having the place to myself! Also we use a Bluetooth speaker while streaming media through the Roku app. I could use headphones but I think a speaker is ideal for avoiding long term hearing loss, and for when friends and family are over. The sound quality from this JBL Clip 3 sounds great, I LOVE that the speaker has an AUX port just in case. The device buttons are raised and tactile so you can feel the shape of the action you are trying to do (raise/lower volume and stop/play), and the display light indicates if it’s pairing or the level of the battery life. Overall it is a minimal but effective design in my opinion.The device is lightweight and I’m using the hook to hang up high in my apartment to create a surrounding ambience, but I absolutely plan on taking this with me while riding my bike, hiking, etc. I live in a place with a wet climate so the waterproof aspect is absolutely important. My BF and other friends have had their JBL devices for years, so I expect to use this for a VERY long time. Thank you!

Survived a steam room.This lil speaker is my favorite recent purchase. I bought it for a vacation I went on last month and used it in a private steamroom session lasting about 45 minutes. The room was so wet and damp that I couldn’t have my phone in there even in my robe pocket, but this bad boy had no issues with that. I regularly hang it up from my shower caddy when I’m taking a shower and it doesn’t seem to be dying via water damage like previous waterproof tech I’ve used. Sound quality is pretty good for it being so tiny. Never have any issues with Bluetooth connection. I like that it has a hook so it can be secured wherever I want it. Battery life is good for what it is, but the charging cable for it is super short so I recommend getting a replacement. However, it doesn’t take too long to fully charge.

Better than I expectedMy old shower speaker died after a year and wouldn’t hold a charge. I LOVE music in the shower, so looked for something that was better quality. You really can’t go wrong with JBL. This JBL Clip 3, waterproof speaker was easy to connect to my phone. The sound is phenomenal. So far the battery is holding up nicely. I’ve had it for more than a month with showers two or three times a week. I have only charged it one time when it first arrived. I love the little sound it makes when it’s turned on or off. It’s nice to have a choice of colors to chose from too.

Great little speakerI bought this as a gift for my husband. He likes to listen to podcasts while taking a shower and I was getting tired of him taking the household Bluetooth speaker with him. I looked into other shower speakers but was weary of sound quality. I was familiar with this brand and decided to spend a little extra for quality and reliability. I am not disappointed. He not only uses it in the shower (clips it to the shower curtain rack) he also clips it to his belt loops and takes it with him outside in the yard. It has a surprisingly good sound quality and volume for a little speaker. I can see us taking this camping and kayaking in the future. Highly recommended.

Great handy speaker for a room or outdoor useI have bought this speaker after a recommendation from a friend and have fallen in love with it. The quality of sound and battery life has me using it around the house. I can just leave it on a table or just hang it on a hook in any room I’m in and have great sound quality for hours. Bought one for my brother because of the amount of use I get out of this speaker.

Good soundIt was easy to setup and the sound is really good. The only issue I had was it came with no plug in, I got a cord but no plug in. It will not charge using the any other ones. I contacted the supplier and will see if they will send me one. I will update my review at that time.

Great for the golf cart…Sound is better and more powerful than you would get from any speaker this small but I expect nothing less from JBL. Takes up basically no room in the golf cart and lil room in my bag. I was happy to buy it in red so hopefully I don’t leave on the cart. Many reviews show broken clips after very little use so I used 2 small pieces of heat shrink and a second carabiner to solve that problem.. Although I was not able to pair with any of my other JBL speakers I still love this lil powerhouse…

Fantastic quality speaker for the price, maybe not as loud as some people would likeLet me start by saying I love this speaker. I work at Walmart and we have these for $59, and only in black, camo, and silver. I’ve been wanting one for a while so I decided to go on here and check for cheaper prices first. Boy, am I glad I did! Not only was I able to get these for a good $20 cheaper, but in my favorite color; pink!These are very good quality speakers, the first thing I did when I got mine was throw it in the pool to see if it was really waterproof like it says. I only left it in there for about a minute because I just wanted to hurry up and listen to music, but it does indeed float and no piece of hardware seems to have suffered as a result (there’s a rubber piece that covered the aux and charging port, and I worried that water might deep in after so long. But that appears to have not been the case). So if you’re thinking of taking one of these to go casually canoeing or kayaking, I would definitely recommend it, just so long as you’re not going white water rafting or anything intense (the speaker is pretty small and can fit in the palm of your hand, so it might get lost a bit too easily in rapids even if it does float).Now, onto the sound. The sound quality itself is – in my opinion – about what you’d expect from JBL. Very pristine and clear, no lags or sudden disconnections from Bluetooth like some speakers have. The volume honestly doesn’t get all that high, even with your phone and the speakers’ volume at full max. However, it’s plenty loud enough for normal folk to enjoy while you’re swimming, hiking, boating, working, or whatever. Though when you take into consideration its small size, I am honestly impressed with how loud it gets. So if you’re wanting something compact that you can blast the neighbors out of house and home with, this definitely isn’t for you.Now the clip. Let’s face it, the thing that probably attracts us most about this speaker is the fact it has a built-in clip for you to take it wherever you want; portable music! And it honestly accomplishes that feat really really well. A lot of cheaper clips won’t stay straight when you try to hook them onto things, and you have to physically move it back into place to fully ‘hook’. Not this thing. I’ve hooked it onto doorknobs, backpacks, the belt loops of my jeans…I’ve never had to readjust. Just clip and go. And for that reason alone I feel this thing is a keeper.The battery life is supposed to be around 10 hours, and I honestly haven’t used it a WHOLE lot so far but it feels like it lasts longer to me. That may be just because I’ve been using it for a few hours on and off and not for the 10 hours straight, but the battery still lasts a good while. I got about 8-9 hours right out of the box alone, with no charging.The ONLY thing that bugs me about this thing are the tiny, almost microscopic rubber nubbies on the bottom. I know they’re probably there for traction or whatever if you set it down on something, but they really irritate me to feel against my skin when I’m holding or carrying it. However it’s a small thing that’s definitely not a dealbreaker, and 90% of the time it’s gonna be hooked to something and not rubbing against my skin anyways. So other than that little thing this speaker is 100% gold to me!Basics overall:1. Sound quality: 9/102. Volume: 7/103. Portability: 10/104. Waterproofness: 10/10 (though granted, I haven’t extensively tested this one, how long are you really gonna leave this thing in the water?)5. Battery life: 10/106. Color: 10/10 (I know the pink looks terrible in the photos I provided, but I took them at nighttime under a *very* yellow light. Under normal lighting conditions it looks just like the stock photo)

Great sound quality/fall apartLove the sound quality but on the second day the face plate just fell off at work while it was hooked on my waist after 30 minutes of looking I found it found out the glue holding it was just not strong enough, after applying some crazy glue it’s been holding on.I would recommend stronger adhesive to stop a a simple problem with the product.

Great gift!Purchased this for my wife for Christmas. She loves it especially while in the shower or getting ready in the bathroom. Great sound and connectivity to her Apple phone was very easy.
