How to pair the drone to controller
- Make sure the drone and controller are fully charged;
- Place the drone on a flat surface;
- Turn on the drone then turn on the controlle; push the left joy-stick up and down quickly to pair the drone until the light on the remote control turns solid and the lights on the drone turn solid;
- Now the drone is paired.

 Ease of Use:This drone is very easy to fly and use, even for a beginner. I had my mom, who had never flown anything before, fly this drone. She was able to keep it in the air and did not crash. She did bump the wall, but the included prop guards allow the drone to ride on the wall and not harm the drone or the paint.Packaging:This drone is packaged very well. It comes inside the box surrounded by plastic. I actually had a rough time getting this drone out of the packaging. Also, the drone fits very well inside the radio.Portability:This drone is very portable, and can be flown nearly anywhere indoors. The only downside to this drone’s portability is that while, yes it fits in the radio very well, there is no casing for the radio to go into. If you feel comfortable carrying around the radio, then you can carry the drone. One thing to note is that the drone’s foldable arms click and lock multiple times before they reach fully extended. Be careful when you try to extend the drone’s arms and make sure that you don’t try to push them the wrong way.Durability:This drone is very durable. Since I have had this and flown it, (I have probably flown it 10 times) I have had only a few crashes, and the ones that I have had do no damage. There is also rubber stoppers on the bottom of each motor that in the event of the drone being dropped, there is no damage. If you do crash, make sure that you kill the motors as per the manual.Quality of Materials:This drone’s quality feels that of a $40 maybe even $50 drone. The radio feels like it is worth the price you pay. I would rather have most of the quality in the drone anyways, and that is where all the quality has been placed.Battery Life:This drone advertises 5 – 7 minutes of battery life. I find this to be correct.Charging time:This drone takes around 40 minutes to charge.Skill Level of Pilot:I would let anyone fly this drone, even someone who has never flown anything before, whether it be plane, heli, or quad. This drone is so easy and simple to fly that almost anyone could fly it. One other nice thing is that this drone’s controls are very very similar to my larger drone also from Holy Stone.Indoor Flight:This drone flies its best indoors. It can do flips indoors as well.Outdoor Flight:Only an experienced pilot should fly this drone outside. This drone can be taken by the wind very easily. I would only recommend flying this drone outside on high speed so that you can fight the wind.Is this quad noisy?Some members of my family call this drone a bee. It does sound a-lot like a very large bee. This drone is not too loud, but I would not call it quiet.Box to Air Time:You can get this drone from the box into the air in under an hour, depending on how long the battery takes to charge (my battery came half full)Quality of features:The flip feature on this drone works great. Just make sure that once you press the right joystick down to enter flip mode, that you immediately move that joystick in the direction that you want it to flip. Two beeps sound, and if you make no action in these two beeps, your quad exits flip mode.The high speed rotation works well. Depending on which speed setting you are on depends on how fast the drone rotates as well as the overall speed of the drone.The speed switch works well. Top speed it VERY fast and I don’t recommend using it at all, especially in a tighter indoor space.Auto Land:When this quad is low on battery, it lands its self. When it gets to a certain point, it won’t flip anymore. Soon after, it will land. This feature works as it should.Downsides:This drone sometimes likes to drift. Using the trimmer reset function helps though. This drone has no camera, although that is not surprising for something this size. The trimmer buttons do not do much in my opinion. If the drone drifts, the drone trimmer reset works the best.Overall:If you are looking for a drone to learn on, just fly indoors, something to do on a rainy day, or to impress your friends with cool flips, then this drone is for you.

Could be a perfect little drone toy, but it’s fragile
Right off the bat, I loved this drone, fast and easy to fly. Seemed robust. Love the onboard docking and charging capability. I would love the adjustments on the remote, but that’s a lot of buttons on the face with a very small print so you have to work with that. They work great, though. I saw the price dropped to $25 and had to have it. Started off perfect. And, if it was still working properly, I would say it was a super value.. 5 stars given the discounted price.We have had it a few weeks and one motor has stopped spinning on a regular basis. Within the first week we managed to break the propeller guards during install, uninstall, to where they wouldn’t work. Which is a bummer because then we managed to bend all the propellers. That might not be the drones fault, we are new comers and flying inside. But we have other toy drones that have taken harder hits and propellers have lasted much longer. I have reached out to Customer Service to see about purchasing replacement propellers, and they have been very easy to communicate with.Update: Holy Stone offered to comp me a new toy for the motor stopped working issue. I agreed and have added a 4th star for that. If it lasts longer I’ll call it a great product for the cost.

Haven’t mastered it & trying work it out
It’s supposed to be for beginners but it takes way more practice and instructions than come in the box. One crash, the 1st one, has it veering to one side. I read the instructions to reset it, recharged it, put in new batteries, changed the propellers but somehow it hasn’t reset itself. It’s a little better but still veering to one side.

After receiving a drone with a defective battery (these things happen) I contacted holy stone to tell them of my issue. They immediately had this taken care of and I had a new drone in 2 days. I absolutely love this thing!!! It’s my first drone and wanted something cheap and fun to do indoors and this has been tons of fun. All the features work great and it’s super easy to fly. I absolutely recommend this little drone to everyone!!

Charged it up, powered on, pressed a couple of buttons and….. we have lift-off!It’s pretty simple. Hovers still and flies straight, right out of the box!It’s fascinating how they can package this much ability into such a small drone. Like a watching a humming bird and wondering how it can possibly fly like that.It’s baffling how they can sell it for under $25. This HP190 has got to be the company’s loss-leader. They can’t be making much profit on it, but they get their product into the hands of first time flyers, impress the socks off us, and then we’re brand-loyal and ready to buy own next drone… which will be another Holy StoneYes, you’ll outgrow it quickly, but it will teach you how to fly and then you’ll be a better pilot when you buy you next bigger drone. Yes, I’ve bought another drone. Yes, it’s a Holy Stone!

Worked perfectly!
I read the instructions, charged it up, and was flying like a champ! My grandson later distracted me, and I lost control and it landed in a pond. I was able to wade in and get it out in less than three minutes. It was still lit up while underwater, but I switched it off and put it in a bowl of rice for a few days to draw out moisture. Sure enough, it still works like new. It is a really solid and beautifully designed, and is the best drone value on amazon!

UPDATE -Not worth it
UPDATE: after leaving the review below, seller contacted me to offer a full refund AND replacement item. I changed my rating from 2 to 4 stars for the customer service.I had no experience with drones before, so I got this one. It’s too fast and difficult to control. After maybe a total of an hour of flying time, it consistently drifts in unpredictable directions and I have no control of it anymore. The controller is also very bulky and uncomfortable.
