Kleine Drohne für schnellen leichten Einsatz bei annehmbarer Bildqualität – Effizienz vor Qualität
Nach dem ich ganz früh mit der DJI Phantom 1 in eingestiegen bin, und mit Gimbal und Gopro erste Aufnahmen gemacht habe, wurde mir klar, ich benötige etwas mit mehr Fokus auf Filmen und weniger auf das fliegen. Einige Jahre später entdeckte ich die DJI Spark, die aber leider zwischenzeitlich auf Grund eines Kommunikationsfehlers der App abgestürzt ist.Vor kurzen entdeckte ich dann die Ryze Tello und nach einigen Recherchen war ich begeistert von dem was mir da für gerade mal 100€ geboten wird.Mein Usecase ist schnell und mit wenig Aufwand “Nahbereichs-Luftaufnahmen” in einigermaßen brauchbarer Qualität für meine privaten Urlaubsfilme zu machen. Hierbei ist mir der Komfort und der schnelle Einsatz wichtiger als hochprofessionelle Bildqualität. Wichtig ist mir aber auch, dass ich im Fall eines Absturzes nicht wieder viel Geld verliere.GRÖSSEDie Tello ist superklein. Die Propeller sind nicht anklappbar, und mit den PropGuards ist sie dann aber schon ca 15x15cm und damit nicht kleiner als die Spark im Zusammengefalteten Zustand.Die Robustheit ist aber für mich super. Die sehr filigranen Rotorenarme sind recht weich und federn Stürze gut ab ohne dass die Drohne Schäden nimmt. Bis jetzt hat sie jeden kleineren Sturz recht gut überstanden. Mit 80g ist sehr leicht und damit auch sehr windfühlig aber auf der anderen Seite hat es auch den Vorteil das sie bei Kollision wenig Schäden erzeugt und dadurch auch problemlos INDOOR genutzt werden kann.LAUTSTÄRKESchön ist, dass die Tello natürlich auch nicht so einen Krawall macht wie die großen Geschwister.PROPELLERDie Reparatur der Propeller geht auch sehr einfach. Die Propeller sind nur gesteckt und können mit einem mitgelieferten Werkzeug einfach abgehebelt und neue Propeller aufgesteckt werden. Ein kompletter Satz Ersatzpropeller ist mitgeliefert und der erste davon ist schon in Einsatz gekommen als beim Jungfernflug die Spitze eines Propellers an einem Regal gekappt wurde. Super easy zu ersetzen, man muss nur natürlich den richtigen Propeller nehmen (Drehrichtung berücksichtigen)Die Propeller sind durch PropGuards geschützt, die aber auch demoniert werden können. Propeller sind aber nicht einklappbar.FLUGSTABILITÄTIch erinnere, das Teil wiegt gerade mal 80g. Bei Wind ist sie da natürlich nicht die stabilste, aber durch die visuelle Positionserkennung hält sie unglaublich gut ihre Position. Selbst bei Wind steht sie damit enorm stabil und sicher in der Luft. Es muss aber klar sein, dass ist keine Allwetterdrohne sondern höchstens eine Schönwetterdrohne. Stärkere Böhen und Wind kann sie schonmal aus der Bahn werfen und dann hat man Mühe sie wieder einzufangen, vor allem wenn die optische Erkennung dann durcheinander kommt.REICHWEITEEs ist sinnvoll, die Drohne mit einem WLAN Range Extender zu koppeln. Damit hatte ich bei 50mAbstand und 10m Flughöhe immer noch 90dB Signal und kaum Qualitätsverluste im Videosignal. OhneRange Extender liefert sie schon nach 25-30m ein schwaches Signal und nicht mehr brauchbares Videomaterial. Die volle Reichweite habe ich noch nicht probiert, da man sie bei 50m schon schwer noch mit dem Auge sehen kann. Im Netz wird gut und gerne von 100m und mehr mit Extender gesprochen.APPHier war ich am meisten überrascht. Die App ist einfach aber funktionell und das schönste ist, sie funktioniert einfach wenn man sie startet. Bei meiner vorherigen Drohne war immer etwas, was mich am Fliegen hinderte, wie fehlendes Update der App oder der Geofence Datenbank. Das schlimmste aber war das die DJI App massive Verbindungsverlustprobleme hatte, wenn man nicht Bluetooth abgeschalten hat. Das Problem habe ich bei der Tello App überhaupt nicht. Sie tut was sie soll und gibt mir viel mehr Vertrauen als die DJI app. Dafür braucht sie auch nur ein Bruchteil der Speicherplatzes von der von DJI.VIDEOQUALITÄT:720p, starkes Rauschen bei schlechten Lichtverhältnissen, und ab und an auch mal Framedrops oder Artefakte von der Videokompression. Letztere können per WLAN Extender massiv verbessert werden. Auch die Linse ist natürlich keine Hasselblad, aber bei guten Lichtverhältnissen und schönem Wetter ist sie für eine 100 Euro Drohne schon wirklich ordentlich und für mich in meinen Videos verwendbar.Die Kamera ist starr nach vorne angebracht und kann nicht geschwenkt werden.STABILISIERUNGDie Stabilisierung findet digital statt und das macht sie enorm gut. Hier bin ich begeistert. Bei starkemAnkämpfen gegen den Wind schafft sie es natürlich nicht mehr aber ansonsten ist es in der Preiskategorie ungeschlagen. Die Stabilisierung unter ruhigen Wetterbedingungen ist nicht viel schlechter als damals bei meiner DJI Spark. Sobald Wind aufkommt sieht das dann natürlich ganz anders aus.FOLLOW MEUnd das war ein Kaufargument für mich. Einige deutlich teurere Drohne haben nicht die Möglichkeit der Objektverfolgung. Die Tello hat es zwar auch nicht, aber in den AppStores gibt es eine Drittanbieter-App für die Tello, die genau dieses Feature hinzufügt. Und das Funktioniert ausgezeichnet. Sowohl Verfolgermodus als auch paralleles Verfolgen funktioniert sehr gut. Auch eine Spotlight Funktion gibt es um Objekte die sich bewegen immer im Bildzentrum zu halten. Die ca. 5€ für die App lohnen sich hier auf jeden Fall.FLUGMODIAuch hier wird von der Original App, aber auch von Drittanbietern einiges geboten. Hier kann man mitwenigen Klicks Effektaufnahmen wie “FlyAways” oder “Orbits” und viele andere machen.SPEICHERNachteil ist, dass Videomaterial direkt ans Smartphone übertragen wird und nicht lokal gespeichert wird. Dadurch sind alle Sendestörungen auch auf dem Videomaterial vorhanden. Andererseits ist es auch der Vorteil, wenn die Drohne wirklich mal abstürzt und nicht zu bergen wäre, dann ist zumindest das Videomaterial gesichert.STARTUPKein GPS, kein aufwendiges Startup. Die Drohne ist quasi sofort Flugbereit, sobald die Verbindung zum Smartphone aufgebaut ist. Mit dem WLAN Extender dauert es oft etwas länger, aber das ist nicht nennenswert.Das ist der wichtigste Aspekt für mich beim Einsatz. Die Drohne muss in NOTIME flugbereit sein, ihre Szene aufnehmen. Ich will nicht viel Zeit in das Fliegen an sich investieren, sie dient in erster Linie als fliegende Kamera für Perspektiven die ich mit anderen Mitteln nicht einfangen kann.FLUGZEITIch habe mit dem Akku im freien und mit einigen stromzerenden Flugmanövern meist eine Flugzeit von 8-10min erreicht. Ein Ersatzakku ist für 20€ zu bekommen, daher habe ich einen zweiten gekauft, das reicht für meine Belange vollkommen. ein Set mit 2 Akkus und Ladegerät ist für 50€ zu bekommen.FAZITEs dürfte klar sein, dass eine Tello nicht mit einer 10x so teuren Drohne verglichen werden darf. Aber die Tello ist by far nicht nur ein Spielzeug. In ihrer Preisklasse ist sie unangefochten und von den Features stellt sie dank diverser App Entwickler die eine oder andere professionellere Drohne in den Schatten. Es gibt für mich ein paar klare Argumente, warum die Tello für mich die beste Wahl ist : klein, leicht, schnell einsetzbar, stabile App und nicht teuer wenn sie mal crasht und sie liefert brauchbares Material.wenn man mit 720p und dem einen oder anderen Fehler im Video leben kann, dann ist das die Drohne mit der man mit dem wenigsten Aufwand zu Ergebnissen kommt.Wer epische Bilder benötigt oder für wen das Fliegen bei dem Hobby im Vordergrund steht, der wird seine Drohne in einer andere Preiskategorie suchen müssen.

Davvero un ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.ATTENZIONE CONSIGLIO DI VERIFICARE CHE IL VOSTRO CELLULARE SUPPORTI L’APP PER COMANDARE IL DRONE QUESTO È IMPORTANTISSIMO PER EVITARE INUTILI SENSI DI COLPA.PRO:Adatto ai neofiti e come regalo di compleanno per tutte le età (o quasi, si sconsiglia di lasciarlo incustodito nelle mani dei bambini se non volete ritrovarvi con la cristalleria di casa in pezzi).Grazie ai sensori posti sotto il drone e al barometro integrato il drone rimane stabile automaticamente sarete voi a variare l’altezza (leggere SEMPRE PRIMA il manuale di istruzioni a proposito del volo e del funzionamento dei sensori).Divertente: grazie alle modalità personalizzate sull’app, evoluzioni e atterraggi non sono un problema, è possibile infatti lanciare e fare atterrare il drone sul palmo della vostra mano e far eseguire flip su se stesso con il semplice slide del dito su un’area dello schermo.Utile: Pur non eccelso nel volo outdoor se utilizzato in assenza di vento o con gentilissima brezza si può far volare il drone fino a 10m di altezza circa (o fino a dove arriva il segnale del wifi del vostro telefono, attenzione quindi all’indicatore del segnale sull’app.Consiglio di utilizzare un wifi range extender se volate più lontano, in altezza il drone è limitato a 10 m) io l’ho impiegato per vedere alcune canaline sul tetto della mia abitazione in punti dove normalmente ci si arriva solo col carrello elevatore.Memorizzazione video: Potete usare da subito il drone per fare foto o video visto che tutto viene memorizzato sul vostro dispositivo. Non c’è nessun ingresso sul drone per montare una scheda microsd sulla quale registrare nè quindi ci sarà bisogno di spendere altri soldi per schede microsd.AAA SMANETTONI CERCASI:Il drone è compatibile con droneblocks e con scratch per creare catene di comando e missioni personalizzate divertenti per far giocare bambini e ad adulti con il funzionamento/programmazione di un drone.CONTRO: Siete legati all’utilizzo del cellulare quindi i comandi non sono fluidissimi, se usato in modalità slow però può essere una buona cosa per i neofiti. Per gli esperti sicuramente questo è un punto a sfavore (anche se gli esperti punterebbero a ben altri livelli costruttivi, l’acquisto di un esperto probabilmente sarebbe meramente per curiosità dal mio punto di vista) consiglio l’acquisto di un joypad bluetooth in modo da avere un controllo più diretto sul drone.Motori a spazzole: Il drone monta 4 motori a spazzole tradizionali invece dei più moderni motori brushless che sono sicuramente più efficienti e un tantino meno rumorosi.Ricarica: Non si ha a disposizione con l’acquisto di un caricabatterie dedicato, per ricaricare il drone quindi la batteria va inserita nel drone e bisognerà poi collegarlo con un cavetto ad una porta usb o ad un caricabatterie (il cavo non è fornito in dotazione, si può utilizzare un cavo mini usb – usb come quello dei cellulari, se avete iphone il cavo non andrà bene. In commercio esistono batterie aggiuntive e caricabatterie multipli a prezzi ridicoli, 16€ circa a batteria e 19€ per un caricabatterie multiplo)Memorizzazione funzioni: ogni volta che vi connetterete al drone le impostazioni vengono azzerate (password wifi a parte).Video live: il video è piuttosto pixelloso e con la prima versione del firmware andava molto a scatti, consiglio l’update alla nuova versione firmware che migliora i comandi e la parte di trasmissione del video. Quindi significa che posso fare voli in fpv a manettone? No, sconsiglio quindi l’acquisto per il volo fpv, pur disponendo di una modalità fpv da utilizzare in combo con cardboard meglio evitare; i controlli e la trasmissione video a una certa distanza possono risentire di lag anche elevato con buona probabilità di perdere il controllo del drone (si spera in un miglioramento ulteriore con un nuovo firmware).NO GPS:Il dispositivo non è dotato di gps come i suoi cugini più evoluti, se lo perdete di vista quindi…sapete la fine della frase; il drone scarico infatti ad un certo livello di batteria (2/3% di batteria rimanente circa) atterrerà da solo senza che voi possiate fare qualcoaa dove sta volando (occhio quindi all’esterno vicino a laghi, fiumi, insenature, speroni rocciosi, luoghi impervi o difficili da raggiungere e in casa vicino a fornelli accesi, in bagno, sul terrazzo e sui balconi, negli androni e nelle scale interne dei palazzi. Insomma usate il buon senso e se vostro figlio/a utilizza il drone vigilatene l’utilizzo)Recap:Quindi, facile da pilotare, robusto, affidabile e con tecnologia sviluppata in collaborazione con dji (non proprio i primi brocchi sul mercato in fatto di droni) e intel. Non eccelso sotto alcuni punti di vista, ma per il prezzo di vendita non ci si può lamentare più di tanto.Migliorabile? Certo partendo dai motori e dalla modalità di ricarica.

Giocattolino o no? Primo drone per imparare!
Il mini drone Tello è stato sviluppato da RYZE Tech, ma in collaborazione con DJI (e Intel), tanto che lo troviamo anche nell’elenco del negozio del produttore cinese. Esternamente, assomiglia ai droni Spark e Mavic Air, ma è molto più conveniente con un prezzo di circa 100 euro. Don’t trust your initial impression
For some time now, I’ve wanted to own a DJI but I couldn’t really justify spending around £400 if you go for their cheaper DJI Spark. Although Tello is supposedly not actually manufactured by DJI it is “powered” by DJI so I was sure that some of that DJI technology would be included in this drone and certainly for just under £100 it made the decision much easier.Here goes my initial impression:It’s definitely much smaller than I expected. I dare to say, I even thought it looked….”cheap”. Somehow, I kept thinking about other cheap drones I’ve seen around that come in a cardboard box with a huge window to see the item without having to unbox it. Once it’s out of the box its different. It feels very light but sturdy. The drone is pre-built, so all you have to do is install the battery, download the Tello App on your device and you’re good to go…. unless ….well, unfortunately you have to charge the battery first.This almost ruined my pre-excitement – I was already planning my flight route. Anyhow…charging the battery it was. To do this, you need to install the battery, get a microUSB cable you might have lying around somewhere (yes, no cable is provided) and wait for about 1 hour to an hour and a quarter. Not too bad actually. I was fearing the worst and thought it would take much longer.OK then, 1 hour and a bit after the unboxing and with a full battery we are good to go.The App is very easy to install and it barely takes a few minutes to install the drone. Controls are also very straight forward. There’s a short intro that I would recommend everyone to view with all the basic controls. Everything is within finger reach on your device screen (considering you’re using a phone). The default settings worked quite well. I’m not a drone specialist but I didn’t feel like I had to tamper any of the initial settings. I guess that as I get more experience using the drone I will probably discover settings I feel more comfortable with.There is a bit of latency with the controls so just consider this when flying. The drone will not respond immediately so just be cautious at the beginning with how you fly. You’re more likely to crash until you get used to the slight response time between phone controls and drone.The camera on the drone is forward-facing and fixed, so you’ll need to consider that when flying and taking pictures. The quality of photos is actually not bad. I think they go up to 5MP. Outdoor photos are fairly sharp and indoor photos are not as good but I guess it has something to do with the amount of ambient light. As for the video quality, it does look a bit grainy and I experienced quite a bit of frame skipping, but overall, I was quite happy with the result. It’s definitely not a drone that should be expected to take incredible pictures or videos – I guess that’s where the more expensive drones come in play. This is a fun toy drone with a decent camera and very easy to use and learn.The battery last around 15 minutes which isn’t too bad considering that other more expensive drones will only be around the 25-minute mark. Considering it only takes around an hour to re-charge I guess it’s ok. Personally though, for £18 I will probably end up buying a second battery to enjoy a longer flight time – you’ll also need to consider the battery life on your device, so one way or the other you won’t be able to go on for ever.Final impressions:PROS• Small size, very lightweight• Very easy setup – Download app, connect to drone via wifi and of you go.• Drone comes with all 4 propellers installed and propeller guards. The propeller guards can be removed if desired, but keeping them on at the beginning allows you to play around and protect your drone against any accidents until you feel you have a good control of the drone.CONS• The battery it comes with was not charged – around 1h to 1.15h to fully charge• microUSB required to charge the battery not included• Max recommended flight height 10m• Video is grainy and has some frame skippingOverall, I was pleasantly surprised. It’s a decent quality drone for under £100. Controls are easy to learn and it’s a very enjoyable experience. Photos aren’t the best but it does the job. It’s a great, fun, small and quick drone with some decent DJI magic.

Il meglio in questa fascia di prezzo, senza alternative.
La domanda che ci si deve porre prima di acquistare un drone è la seguente : perchè lo acquisto? Cosa voglio farci?Le risposte sono sostanzialmente due. Se volete una specie di aeromodello radiocomandato che va su e giù e a destra sinistra che pilotate a vista allora scegliete un qualsiasi drone in questa fascia di prezzo, ormai si trovano anche quelli da gara.Se invece volete fare riprese video e scattare fotografie allora avete bisogno di qualità, almeno la massima disponibile che può avere un drone da 99€. E qui la scelta è una sola, il Ryze Tello.La stabilità delle riprese video e delle fotografie è incredibile per un drone di questa fascia di prezzo.Diciamo invece che non è incredibile affatto, è tutta questione di chi lo produce e della tecnologia che possiede.In questo caso la Ryze, per molti una spin-off di DJI (che è il maggior produttore mondiale di droni da lavoro e di altissimo livello amatoriale (Mavic, Spark) ), ha usato le conoscenze di DJI per fare un drone tecnologicamente inarrivabile da qualsiasi concorrente.Il Tello non ha il GPS, ma per restare stabile ha un visore sotto la pancia che “guarda” il terreno, oltre ad avere un sensore barometrico per restare stabile in altezza, tutto questa tecnologia controllata da un processore Intel dedicato a queste applicazioni : “Intel® Movidius™ Myriad™ VPU 2″I prodotti concorrenti se la sognano di notte tutta questa tecnologia.Circa la stabilità al vento del Tello consiglio la visione di questo (impressionante) video : “Dji Ryze Tello flying on Extreme wind flight and video stabilized footage Performance”Quindi chi parla di poca stabilità con qualche filo di vento non ha le idee chiare sulle possibilità.Inoltre con i suoi 80g senza paraeliche, e 86g con i paraeliche può volare dovunque senza alcun permesso, cosa che già attualmente è impossibile per i droni oltre i 300g e tra poco saranno solo 250g.Avevo pensato di prendere uno DJI Spark ma non ho intenzione di spendere oltre 500€ (e poi il resto dei gadget abbinati) per un drone che dal 2022 potrà volare sono il campagna o sui monti.L’unico difetto che ho rilevato al Tello è che la carica con la batteria inserita nel drone non arriva MAI ad accendere il led blu fisso, lampeggia in eterno, comunque la batteria si carica.In ogni caso il kit “necessario” per fare delle riprese video ottime con il Tello prevede :- caricabatteria esterno : https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B07GXKSMWK/- batterie addizionali : https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B078YTQBY5/- wifi extender : https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B071HDZ2W6/- powerbank : https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B019GJLER8/Le batterie addizionali sono utili, i minuti passano in fretta e specialmente all’inizio si perde tempo in prove ecc. eccIl wifi extender serve ad avere una ottima qualità video a distanza, il Tello riduce la qualità video in automatico quando il segnale wifi scende, quindi l’extender serve a mantenere un link wifi ottimo col Tello.Il powerbank serve sia a ricaricare fuori casa le batterie del Tello sia ad alimentare l’extender sempre fuori casa.Altra nota che non tutti conoscono, con l’ultimo aggiornamento del firmware del Tello l’altezza massima raggiungibile è di 30 metri, che non è poca cosa, quindi le vecchie app (a pagamento) per sbloccare l’altezza ancora presenti sui vari store non dovrebbero esistere più.Aggiungo due foto, la prima dove il Tello ha rasato dei petali di rosa, un altra un esempio di fotografia da 5Mp.Cercate su Youtube i video raw ripresi col Tello e comparateli coi droni concorrenti in questa fascia di prezzo.

Comprato per perdere un pò di tempo in casa durante questa pandemia e devo dire che ne sono rimasto entusiasta per come è stabile.Grazie al posizionamento visivo infatti è immobile (A patto che ci sia un pò di luce e una superficie non perfettamente uniforme se no questo sistema va in crisi e il drone si muove leggermente e se non riesce a stabilizzarsi atterra da solo).In casa consiglio CALDAMENTE di tenere installati i paraeliche per evitare che, andando a sbattere o semplicemente “appoggiarsi” ad un muro, le eliche si blocchino e spacchino con danni al drone e ai motori.Ovviamente l’ho poi portato anche fuori e qui sono iniziati i problemi derivati dalla natura “giocattolo” del Tello.Partiamo dal presupposto che comanderete questo drone con il WiFi del cellulare tramite APP (eventualmente si può aggiungere il telecomando Gamesir TD1s ma comunque lui parlerà al telefono via bluetooth e sarà poi sempre il telefono via Wifi a comandare il drone)Il primo consiglio per migliorare le prestazioni è di mettere il telefono in modalità aereo e accendere SOLO il Wifi per avere meno interferenze possibili.Comunque anche con questo accorgimento si perde il segnale VIDEO a soli 35-50 metri e se state registrando il risultato è un video a scatti. Ripeto segnale VIDEO, i comandi hanno una via preferenziale e non mi è mai capitato di aver perso il controllo del drone.Se utilizzerete un Range Extender (Xiaomi MI2+) arriverete a 50-65 metri e il segnale sarà decisamente più stabile ma sempre comunque soggetto a scatti.Le foto invece non hanno mai avuto problemi e come potete vedere sono di una qualità accettabile (non pensate che i droni cinesi entro i 150€ abbiano una qualità migliore, dopo ore e ore di ricerche in rete non ne ho trovato neanche 1 che ci si avvicinasse al Tello, occorre andare oltre i 200 per iniziare a ragionare).Per quanto riguarda l’autonomia sono sempre arrivato sui 10-11 minuti di volo e devo dire che è un’autonomia già più che accettabile.Quindi concludendo direi che è ottimo per iniziare e dato le sue dimensioni e il suo peso (80gr) anche se cadrà è relativamente difficile che si rompa e che possa far male a qualcuno.Per quanto riguarda la parte amministrativa (al 02/05/2020) bisogna essere comunque in possesso di queste cose per volare all’aperto:-Assicurazione (una 30ina di euro registrandosi a DroneZine o altri magazine che offrono questo servizio ai loro abbonati)-Registrazione sul sito D-Flight (gratis) per controllare le restrizioni di volo sotto i 30m di altitudine (il Tello arriva al massimo a questa altitudine).-Abilitazione SAPR sul sito D-Flight (basta inviare la C.I. fotocopiata e firmata)-Dal 1°Luglio (o 1° Gennaio 2021 a seconda se il regolamento europeo viene rimandato) serve, sempre sul sito D-Flight, pagare 6 euro per ottenere il QR-Code da applicare sul drone per il discorso che ha un dispositivo che può visualizzare o registrare immagini\video con contenuti coperti da Privacy.

Non trovo un senso a questo drone, piccolo, leggero ma fotocamera inutile, con troppa luce sfiamma e con poca pixelizza.Stabilità zero, essendo leggero va da solo.
